Grin at velvet's tights dilemma. I haven't dared try anything that complicated yet, am still at basic baby dressing level - most i've done is stick some dungarees over her babygro...

Daisybell1 · 01/11/2011 12:20

Hugs for your wobbles too xxx

Ireneiswaiting · 01/11/2011 14:40

Hiya all. Contractions are getting stronger and are about every 15 mins. Let's hope this might be it soon! Am getting the tens out.

getawiggleon · 01/11/2011 15:08

Just dropping by to wish MummyA, Dachs and Irene good luck for today (also v impressed that Irene is managing to post between contractions!)

stitchinline · 01/11/2011 15:20

mummya 9lb 1 oz

dachs hope everything went smoothly today.

wombatinwaiting · 01/11/2011 16:23

mummya - thinking of you lots. My bet is on for 8lb8oz.

Super impressed with your posting irene - I reckon the threat of the induction has done the trick Grin - keep us posted as you can. Sending lots of easy birth vibes.

Thanks so much for updating us dachs and all the best for today's stitch. We've missed you on here!

Katherine -thanks for info on the mucus plug - I have been wondering too.

Velvet - sorry to hear you're feeling low. I think these things catch us out now and again and is totally normal. Reckon you should definitely attempt the tights - they are toooo cute on little ones and you want her to look her best right?! Grin

Well done on all your activity collie - my days have been mostly filled with coffee mornings, lunches and the ocassional yoga/aquayoga class - I'm beginning to wonder if I was born to be a lady of leisure Grin.

Quick qu on changing mats - do you have lots of covers for these or just tend to use towels or muslins or straight on to the plastic?

Velvetcu · 01/11/2011 17:09

I have a muslin on mine wiw and it has been very useful since Eva likes a bit of al fresco peeing and pooping. Especially important if you are changing on your bed/settee since pee just runs off plastic!

I have also found the muslin useful for nappy positioning - I slide it around rather than baby Smile

Ireneiswaiting · 01/11/2011 18:57

WiW I used a muslin too with DS and intend to again.

I'm still here, have bathed DS and got all my bags ready. Regular contractions every 7 mins, tens on.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 01/11/2011 19:26

Girls - I have news of mummya but don't want to spoil coconuts' big moment

It's good news though... Grin Grin Grin

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 01/11/2011 19:26

We have news from CR! Email received 19.10.

mummy gave birth to Max at 09.33 CR time (15.33 UK time) weighing 3.3kg / 7lb 4oz and measuring 48cm. He is doing well and is reportedly beautiful, not that I'd expect otherwise!

Unfortunately, mummya suffered placenta acreta and needed an extra operation but is recovering well and although groggy from GA has been sitting with Max in her arms and is doing fine.

Fabulous news and many congratulations and wishes of a speedy recovery :)

bigmacandhappymeal · 01/11/2011 19:28

I turn my back for 5 minutes and there is really exciting news from irene, mummya (8lbs9oz from me) and the brilliant news that dachs is back - hope today went really well for mummy and dachs and irene i'll be thinking of you - how are you finding the tens?

All is well-ish with me. 36 weeks today and after feeling moderately sorted for a while I seem to be having lots of mini-crises of confidence and nerves. It's my last week of work and I think i'm responding badly to it (although am clearly busting to leave and start my ML), the lack of sleep and the prospect of change. I'm also having period pains, a lot, and feel like the happymeal might be about to reach an arm out of my fanjo and wave hello. I'm walking like John Wayne. MW appt tomorrow so I'll see how engaged I am. But I don't think I'm ready! Confused

Enough of the mememe's - izzy are you still upside down playing Take That to your fanjo?

collie how are you doing?

velvet, pink, daisy and all the other siders... don't leave us - it's lovely to people who have been through it and are on the other side.

cep how's the little man doing? How are you?

Sorry not to do a fuller catch up - I'm shattered

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 01/11/2011 19:28

izzy patience my dear Grin

bigmacandhappymeal · 01/11/2011 19:29

Ooo x-post!! Lovely news and really glad that all is well with Max and that mummy is doing well despite the placenta acreta

Congratulations mummya and welcome to the world Max!

katherine2008 · 01/11/2011 19:44

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 01/11/2011 20:00

bigmac fx for your mw appt tomorrow, I'm shattered too and counting the minutes til I don't have to be at work anymore.

to everyone else

DiffedAgainDachs · 01/11/2011 22:43

Op was delayed but am now home. Op went ok, but cervix was already soft, so it looks as though the op was just in time! Op itself went well, doc seems pleased but I am now really worried! Oh well, only another 26 weeks to go!

Ireneiswaiting · 02/11/2011 07:06

Mummya Congratulations! Hope you recover quickly and are enjoying your newborn cuddles.

i'm still tens machining, have been all night. Am now determined to get moving on this so will have a shower and a pace about and try and get these contractions really going faster. I was shattered last night so went to bed with my tens and ended up staying there all night, sleeping and resting between contractions. I'd expected just a snooze. DH is still in bed saying he needs to catch up on sleep! He's been snoring all night and I did the 5am early shift yesterday with DS. Grr!

cep · 02/11/2011 07:42

Morning ladies,

Congratulations mummya Welcome little Max

irene ooh yay on contractions finally, fx they step up soon and pup puts in an appearance soon.

dachglad the op went well.
