Hils, irene and Kat hope something shifts soon for you lovely ladies...

shell poor you - I haven't had SPD or PGP but imagine it's misery. Get yourself checked out and give work a proper sorting out :)

wiw was wondering the same thing about my basket. Am going to be bold and remove it as I can imagine donking the babies head on it like a fool.

Thanks for doing the list purple. 25 weeks is an amazing date to get to and as wiw said, it's a rollercoaster of ups and downs. A few of us got one of the Count the Kicks bracelets from their websites. Having this might make you feel a bit better as you suddenly realise how much the little blighters are shifting about. That said, you don't need to worry about patterning the movements too much until 28 weeks (according to my MW - anyone hear anything different?)

cep - all crossable items are crossed. Its never easy is it.

Mr B has a cold. I have had less sleep than normal because of his incessant sniffing, snoring and coughing illness. I cried in the car on the way home tonight to Dusty Springfield. I'm so over-emotional I feel like I should be in Dawson's Creek or a similar teen melodrama but staring mid-30s people. Dear oh dear Blush

bigmacandhappymeal · 27/10/2011 18:23

starring, not staring. F&%!

wombatinwaiting · 27/10/2011 18:51

Good to know about the canopy on the moses basket ladies - thanks. Out of interest, does anyone know what it's meant to be for?!

Here's to a better night's sleep bigmac - let me know if the producers of your 30 something teen melodrama need any subjects to base their work on - I'd be ideal!

Thinking of you irene!

harassedandherbug · 27/10/2011 19:27

Evening!!

shell I have spd/pgp. I'm 32wks today and have been on crutches for about 8 weeks now. They're a bloody nuisance but they do help when I'm out and about, not that I do much of that now! My physio was absolutely useless, so make sure you get referred to one who specialises in spd. I see a chiro and I've also had some weird and wonderful therapies - tuning fork and cranial laser. I had 4 weeks off work (back for two now) and I thought it hadn't done much, but now I'm back it's much worse. Also see your gp. The mw can't prescribe painkillers and you can have cocodamol. Try to limit them though, I try to only take one lot at night and manage with paracetamol the rest of time. Cocodamol also have paracetamol in so you can only take 8 combined in 24 hours. I've been taking 1 paracetamol and 1 cocodamol when I go to bed, then I have to 2 x cocodamol to fall back on when it's really bad. Have you got a birthing ball? Most comfy place to sit at the moment. Also when you're in bed make sure you have a pillow between your legs.

Sorry huuuuge post Blush.

wombat it's prob purely decorative!

purple I've heard the same as bigmac about movements, they don't worry too much before 28wks, but go for a check if you're worried.

cep hope ds doesn't get germy... just what you need.

irene fingers x'd for something happening!

bigmac am also over emotional and constantly tearful. Dd's disney films keep getting me, it was Tangled yesterday. She just laughed at me. She's 5 FGS!!!

Well my homebirth is back on!!!! Induction is purely for my comfort, so the option is still there, and I can have a sweep on my due date. I'm ridiculously relieved, hadn't realised how much it was bugging me..... Dh is refusing to get my a big sheet of plastic on any of his builders merchants accounts in case he's asked what for. What a wimp!!

shellshock7 · 27/10/2011 20:15

Thanks so much for the replies guys, I was so low today it is very nice of you all to get back to me with some good advice. So sorry to read you have been on crutches harassed and don't apologise for the long post, I am very grateful Smile

Feeling better just knowing I can be at home and take it easy till I see the MW on Monday...and DH just made a fab tea of chorizo meatballs and a warm salad with new pots and bacon lardons YUM!!!

Shell love 'Come on Irene'.

MummyAbroad do you fancy holding the baton for a bit? I think it is jinxing me. I'm going in on 2nd for induction so perhaps you're top.

Spent today walking on the beach, hope it will get things moving. I just feel so impatient because my Mum came up all the way from Gloucestershire to Scotland to help out with DS when I go in and she's been here twiddling her thumbs for a week already.

I'm trying to look for symptoms but the trouble is I don't have any, other than just normal pregnancy gripes. Never have I wanted diarrhoea more, or period pains but nada, no show, no nothing.

bigmacandhappymeal · 28/10/2011 19:49

Hello kat, welcome! I've not taken Clexane so can't help i'm afraid

How are you and the little lad doing cep?

One more week of work to go :)

Have a nice weekend all
