Congratulations to all the mummies, hope you and the babies are doing well :) and hope it's not much longer for the rest of us.

My due date isn't until Sunday but I think she's going to keep me waiting, no signs at all!

On the start of this thread someone asked whether I'd had any comments about dds due due (sept 11th) and I got a bad one yesterday. My sil went on and on how she couldn't be born on that day, it'd be the most horrible day and it'll be awful if that's her birthday :( even when I said well actually I can't help what day she's born she still went on that "it better not be Sunday, imagine being born on the worst day of the world" so no doubt that's when my little one will make her appearance!!

princessdave · 08/09/2011 15:23

MumtoSophie- I've been joking for weeks our DC will decide to appear on Sept 11 just as DH settles down to watch Fulham on Sky & got a "oh you don't want a Sept 11th baby" comment yesterday. Wasn't sure how to take it so shrugged it off as the date didn't really bother me, that would be a week overdue & sods law it would happen when DH wants to watch the footy!

Congrats to the sept mums so far, been watching with interest. Am 4 days overdue now. Good luck everyone!

Valiant1 · 09/09/2011 04:39

Hello ladies, still no baby have been laying carpets and finishing the boy's room. hoped it would turn the baby but she still head up unless she has a hard bum Grin Any way have been having stringer pain full "contractions" not regular and not lasting long for most of the night so am waiting see how they go (and to get kids to school) and then am ringing the hospital. DH says he wants to sort the girls room tomorrow/today (4:30am) so can i ask her to wait till Saturday Hmm. On the plus side my living room looks lovely and mine and the boys room. three rooms inn seven days, only the dinning room and girls room to go. we will see how long they take lol
Princess how come they came on the 30th and dummies are a life saver hun ignore the horrid lady Grin one problem we had was dd would only have one type which whenever we lost hers we could never find in the shops!!! and i am a tidy freak and clean the bedding every week and flip the beds but when we did dd room when she went into the smaller room we found 15 dummies she was 4 at the time and hadn't had one for 2 years!!! I think as long as they are not used in excess you will be fine xx welcome newbies and were is candr and crazy???

Congratulations on the new babies Smile

Nothing happening here, I'm praying this baby comes this weekend, I have lots of childcare for the weekend.

Better try and get some sleep before the dcs wake up.

Congrats on all the babies!

Week to go till due date - today I am going to find the baby stuff in the loft Grin

realised that it would be really handy for the baby to be born early in some ways - DP is working on call nights for 4 days - EDD & following! Not so desirable, he might not be able to find cover to leave if I am in labour!

candr · 09/09/2011 12:41

Well done Val, make sure you don't knacker yourself out.

Each evening cramps get stronger than previous night but then go again Grrrrrr! Am now house bound as car has run out of MOT etc and can't drive anyway, am trying to get it sorted online as DH car very bumpy and don't want to drive to hospitle in it. Baby is still thrashing around a lot, I really thought I should feel less movement by now due to lack of space but he doesn't seem to care about that so boy does it hurt.

Keeping fingers crossed for you Val Smile

CrazyAlien06 · 09/09/2011 16:01

hey, im here :)

congrats to all the new mummies on the birth of their bouncing babies :)
I am now 36 + 5 so getting closer! I went for a tour around my midwife led delivery unit last night and chatted to a mw re platelets and she didnt seem to think it would be a problem going there which is re assuring ! I also asked about quick labour- mum and sis both had very quick ones, and mw said I will probably take after my sister- her DD was born at 37 weeks at 7lb 2oz with my sis going from 0-5cm in 40 mins..... she had an epidural which slowed her down!! so anytime now I am preparing myself for! scary stuff

Val- I am impressed with your DIY schedule! My DH is currently painting our room, we had our kitchen done this week which is sooo much better- testing out the dishwasher at the mo :)

as for me, my back is killing me but off to a pampering evening at a lady I met at NCT class's house tonight so looking forward to my back massage there. baby is a wriggler alright! had my 36 wk scan on Monday and all is well, could see his/her hair !

hope you all have a fab weekend, DH has just informed me he is getting up at 5am tomoz to finish the painting and so he has all of his stuff done before rugby starts.........I want to watch the rugby aswell but as for the 5am start.......

x

eastegg · 09/09/2011 16:08

Congrats to all those with their babies and good luck to everyone else!

Having come on here with a sept due date right at the beginning, then an Oct date after scans, I've now officially snuck back in with a date for an ELCS of 30th Sept! Feels weird having a date but of course it couldbe sooner as I'm leaving it pretty late for a ELCS (due date was 2nd Oct). Very exciting. Still working into next week but stopping on Tues. Worked yesterday, which was fine, then went out with DH for an very rare night out with MIL babysitting and frankly it was all a bit much. Does anyone else start to find it harder to have normal, sociable conversations towards the end? Like anyone who isn't pregnant is in a different world.

Valiant1 · 09/09/2011 16:24

What a day!!!!!!!!!!
Ended up at the MAU with contractions every 45 mins and 2mins long... only to be taken round to the delivery sweet. We were met at the door by m/w in scrubs ready to take me for a section!!! to be but on a machine and left then scaned and told to come home as i wasn't having STRONG enough contractions and they just don't have the room for me!!!!!! We have been told to come back when they are 15 mins apart or my waters go!!!!!! WTF my ds was born an hour after my contractions were 15 mins apart and it will take me an hour to get there.... DH say's to the m/w we will call an ambulance the m/w says "YOU will be fined £600 if you do that and there is not an emergency??????? so my baby being breech and me having quick labors is OK and we can get the two buses to the hospital!!!!! am fuming and tired and still having pains! they aren't regular so am going bed to sleep .. sorry for the rant xxx

hi Easteregg that my dd Birthday xx

Val, how is it going, I had really painful contractions last night but only a couple every hour and was sick first thing today but again seems to have faded away - so fustrating. Am crossing my fingers for you as reckon next time you are on here it may be with new addition xx

Valiant1 · 10/09/2011 17:53

Nice to hear from you princess

Well I'm still pregnant.

I thought i would of had a baby by now as ds1 was 2 weeks early and ds2 was born at 38+ 6 which I am today, I've got a feeling this one will be late.

Hope babies and bumps are all well Smile

jamaisjedors · 11/09/2011 00:08

Just popping in gatecrashing to say a proper congratulations to Lovebeing who "knows" me from our bookswap thread.

We all hope to hear the full story over there once you are home!

ooh AND your DS was born on the same day as mine (well 7 years later, but still) - I'm sure he will be a darling.

Me to Val, getting really annoyed now. Seem to have constant tight drum tummy with bony bits sticking out at all angles. Hmm

Lollyheart · 12/09/2011 18:56

Still here too, 39+1 my last two came at 38+6 and 38 so was hoping this one would be here by now.

I've had loads of presure today so think things are moving on Smile

Valiant1 · 12/09/2011 19:44

CrazyAlien06 · 13/09/2011 08:52

Hey everyone, hope the babies come soon :) I'm off back to the hospital to have my bloods done for my platelet levels again today. Fingers crossed they come back above 100 otherwise it's referral to a consultant and no mw led delivery for me :-( :-(
37+2 here and so fed up!DH is too we both just want baby here. At least we know the most time we have left is 4 weeks and 5 days lol.

Hope things get moving for you all very soon, I'm jealous as you all have a couple of weeks on me lol

Heinoushierachy · 13/09/2011 11:25

Hello, just snuck in on this thread. EDD is 16th Sept for no 2 and whilst having had a couple of practice runs, everything seems to have died down somewhat. So constantly re-setting the goal posts. The most frustrating part is how frustrated everyone else is that I haven't had it yet - everyone thought it would be early and honestly the inconvenience of it all for them! Grrr... Hope everyone is doing okay and good luck Crazy for your platelets results. Does anyone know if feeling stressed can postpone things?

candr · 13/09/2011 13:34

Grrrrr! Baby is back to back again cue lots more crawling round - got strange looks from postman! Good luck with bloods Crazy! MW today said they would look to induce at 40 weeks as I am measuring small. How's it going today Val?

CrazyAlien06 · 13/09/2011 13:58

Thanks for luck with bloods ladies :) can call up and get the results tomorrow so keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

I have no idea what position baby is in! Hoping head down and that mw tomorrow can tell me as last one was useless lol.

I'm happy for baby to come anyway now as just had my waxing done lol sorry if tmi!
