Hi jan2011
I was term + 4 with my other 2 DS's so I am mexpecting the same but who knows!!?
First baby - VERY exciting! Hope the Paternity Leave all works out to plan for you! You could go either way I guess! Have you found out the sex or having a surprise?x

jan2011 · 04/09/2011 12:32

bumplus that is so interesting that you were exactly the same with your first two! are the symptoms you have been having roughly the same? yeh i guess i could go either way, during my pregnancy i always thought i would be early as mum was early with all hers and i am smallish, but baby has been growing average right through and i have no signs of labour yet so ive stopped thinking ill go early! im having a little girl its very exciting, what about you? how are you coping with your other two while pregnant? xx

ElliottsMummy · 04/09/2011 13:17

Hi Bumpplus2 and jan2011 - interesting to find 2 ppl due on same day as me! :) this is my second baby - have a toddler who has just turned 3 last week. Not sure how u cope with 2 others bumpplus2 - I'm a shattered with just him!! Also very Interesting that both your babies came at term+4, my first was term+7 and 9lbs5 ans this one has been measuring big since 28weeks so expecting another big one! Last time my stomach measurements went off the chart and this one looks like heading that way too!!

BumpPlus2 · 04/09/2011 13:47

Hi jan2011 and ElliottsMummy
It is funny to find others due on the same day! I wonder who will be first!!
jan2011 yes the pregnancy is pretty much the same as the other 2 although I had much worse nausea this time around although luckily it was more intense so stopped at 10 + 5 as opposed to about 16 and 14 weeks with the others. I am even smaller this time (never get very big) but think it's due to racing round after the others (4yrs 1 month/2 years 2 months!). Congrats on your daughter!! We are having another surprise so watch this space! How are you finding pregnancy? Are you working?
ElliottsMummy Yes it is tiring for sure! Lucking my DS's keep each other fairly well entertained but the break from pre-school for the holidays for my eldest has been a little testing at times! Luckily I finished work 2 weeks ago so that takes a lot of pressure off (I worked evening shifts making it really long days!). My eldest starts school on Tuesday so another big change before baby arrives! Is your son in childcare so you can get a little break? Wow your eldest was big! Mine have both been about 7 1/2 pounders...
Good luck to you both in the home straight and hope to keep in touch on here and see how the last few weeks treat us all!xx

Helios all and newbies!

Still being a mardy cow with lots of tightenings and that's it. Still 4 days to edd, and booked in for sweep a week after that. My mw is very keen!

candr · 04/09/2011 20:48

Hi Valiant, feels very strange not going back to school. Had drinks the other night with some of the staff (6 of us left at same time) and some who are still there. Has been so nice not doing planning though.

Got really stressed about elderly (80ish) neighbour this weekend as she puts bird food on ground at night and we get rats. We have spent a fortune and back breaking work to concrete in tunnels and re landscape garden to eliminate them only to have her keep doing it and we got more rats. When DH spoke to her for the 4th time about it she cried and made us feel really bad. Shock We only asked her to use hanging feeders FFS.
Am finding my emotions a bit scatty and could have done without that as feel really tense when in my own garden now. Think part of it is getting impatient with lots of labour signs and no labour. Am excited to hear how things went for Princess and Lola Envy Can't wait for my turn and will maybe stop being a grumpy and emotional cow Grin

Evening MNers!
Due today...but no baby, no signs, twinges. Nothing. Is our first so was expecting it to be late but still can't help feeling slightly disappointed!
Have MW tues morn where she said she'll do a sweep but I've read on MN that they don't work for everyone.
Been passing a little time this evening reading various preg/childbirth threads on here as feeling really restless.
Did notice 2 days ago that my pelvic pain from (mild) SPD has turned into an intense pressure so think baby might have dropped further down. Constantly feel the need to pee & walking normally feels like something is rubbing, is more comfy to walk in a silly wide legged way!
Good luck everyone :)

Scheherezade · 04/09/2011 23:59

Hello! Am due mid October, but as there is no October thread, am budging in on this one :D

Have 5 weeks left, and completely fed up. Is my first, so no idea about BH or anything like that. Have had bad SPD from about 20 weeks. It got better for a few weeks, but has returned. Now can't get comfy in bed at all - sleeping on either side leaves hips in agony. Fed up of not being able to do anything! Am hoping it comes early, but no doubt will be 2 weeks late....

LoveBeingIgnoredByMardyBra · 05/09/2011 03:59

Scheherezade hello. Im sure there is an oct thread, probably in ante natal, where we should be [wonk]

I know what you mean about your hips mine are killing too but at 39+4 hopefully not for long. I have one of the pad things to stop bed sores under my sheet and that helped for most of the time but it been back for a couple if weeks. I am lucky though cause that really is the only SPD type problem I have.

LoveBeingIgnoredByMardyBra · 05/09/2011 04:00

Oh and I've got a really painful right should at the moment, no idea why but woke up with it yesterday. Defo hurts more today Sad and yes I know all I'm doing is moaning!

ElliottsMummy · 05/09/2011 12:05

bumpplus2 my son starts pre-school tomorrow for two mornings a week (didn't want to send him too much this close to the baby coming in case he felt pushed out) so definitly looking forward to a couple mornings to myself :)

GeneralDisarray · 05/09/2011 16:30

Hey all - 39+1 today..had a show yesterday and more today..at least i THINK it was a show it was very solid for discharge and came out all at once in a clump like that jelly in a pork pie (some lovely imagery for you all) DH bless him suggested it might actually have originated from him as we'd had sex night before - had to gently inform him that his really was much runnier if (clearly) quite potent) he looked quite put out. Not too optimistic that I'm going to pop though as nowt else going on. Also managed to sprain my wrists scrubbing the kitchen floor today...feckin eejit! Are there any new babies on thread that I've missed?

Lollyheart · 05/09/2011 18:20

Hello.

No birth announcements yet!

I'm feeling a bit odd this evening and rather nervous about giving birth.

lolajane2009 · 06/09/2011 15:24

edward michael made his appearance on friday at 7:05 and only just got home. he weighed a tiny 5lb 10 and was 48cm in length. The doctor had to give me a drug to ripen my cervix and it meant I was effectively strapped to my bed, I wanted an active labour, and got irregular contractions but active labour was really only about 4hrs.

Gas and air is wonderful stuff though and I was upset when they took it away after the birth as it made me so high. I only remember snippets like telling my husband to f off, after that he just stood there through the labour a few metres away from me, totally useless, telling my nice midwife 'i like you, you are nice' and telling the male head registrar 'what do you know your a man?' to which he agreed. I had another midwife there too who was very much the bad cop and looking back I was so glad she was as she got me through just on gas and air and with no injuries.

Baby is happy and healthy and looks just like his father, although he looked rather like gollum from lord of the rings when I first saw him. But as I said just like dad.

Baby was on 8th percentile, hence long hospital stay, 4 nights and released today, but he is happy and healthy and eats like a horse.

Sorry if that is tmi.

Valiant1 · 06/09/2011 15:29

LoveBeingIgnoredByMardyBra · 07/09/2011 07:30

MissusD · 07/09/2011 08:43

hi, i'm due (was due sat...now overdue since sat or really monday i'm realising...so they're saying they'll induce me tomorrow...anyone else in same boat or know why 'inducing' is good/bad...? I'm feeling VERY well and keep hoping i have 'spontaneous labor'...but none yet!

MissusD · 07/09/2011 08:45

a show? that's a good sign! that's what i was told! does that mean your waters may break soon? I just have the back ache for days...(and the busy cheery 'nesting' instinct and little sleep...)

LoveBeingIgnoredByMardyBra · 07/09/2011 08:53

Started having some contractions, think this might be it!

Just had a shower and waiting for mum to pick me and dd up to take dd to nursery. Luckily dh is off work today. But my car is in the garage so we might have to go in dhs van.
