Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

No show here. Although I got really excited this morning as I found some dry blood in my panties and called the ward to ask if that was one. Alas, they said 'no' .... unless its more muscusy.

MrsVidic · 24/07/2011 18:17

No show here either- I have had lots of pain and been dancing with dd around my living room in a vain hope it may help serve eviction! I'm going to demand sex tonight and see if it helps

aStarInStrangeways · 24/07/2011 18:29

I wish I could be bothered to demand sex.

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 24/07/2011 19:37

There's definitely been stuff happening on and off all day so I've finally got myself a birthing ball and have been having a bounce.

Now I'm 40 weeks pregnant and really really REALLY need to pee... Grin

inbetweener · 24/07/2011 19:55

Evening all please may I join you, I have to talk to someone before I go mad !!
Still here, still overdue at 40+4.
Im beginning to freak myself out though and wanted some advice from those of you who have litteraly just given birth.

Im 40+4 today and for the last two weeks or so have had to change my underwear throughout the day. I get a lot of yellow discharge that increases when I move around, walk a lot or baby moves. Well now im wondering if it could be my waters slowly trickling ? Or is that TOO slow ?

Plus DH and I DTD last night and I now have a stinging, almost UTI like pain in my bits, along with a LOT of pressure when I stand. My actual bump hurts too.
I have been having daily long soaks in the bath and am wondering if my waters are tricking, and now I have an infection of some kind or that things are starting ? Its been 7 years since I was in labour and I thought I could remember but I havent had a single similar symptom this time round.

Aghhhhhhhhhh I am so fed up I could cry. I havent an apt till thursday and if I phone the MW's ( who I havent seen for 5 weeks !) they will tell me to go delivery suite and get checked by triage wont they ?

Im so down, I just want my baby out now sad

witches · 24/07/2011 21:57

I too have had lots of discharge and generally feel yucky so keep changing all day too! I had my show...after my sweep Like 4days ago and nothing! Made it even more depressing to be honest as it got my hopes up. Kind of feel that baby is burrowing down so think might be getting further engaged. Please something be happening!

Darlingdamsel · 24/07/2011 22:39

Can I just say that I am just getting depressed about all this. I should have never listened to my mother that the women in my family always go early (so I have been 'anticipating it' for a while). But I have no more energy to wait, I have done everything I needed to weeks ago and I just keep expanding ... so I feel so uncomfortable.

I know I am not alone. But I have started to get all weepy and down. I just need this baby to come ...

Sigh ... 40+4 tomorrow and not one remotely decent sign that labor will happen any day soon.

Pardon me sidetracking the thread for a brief moment. Back to business as usual.

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 25/07/2011 07:39

Yup, depressed here too, and only 40+1. Every morning I wake up around 6 with no twinges and just know it's not going to be today :(

inbetweener · 25/07/2011 08:57

morning all,
still here. Sad
40+5 today sigh....................
Im so going to make that MW appt on thursday !! I was convinced I wouldnt as EVERYONE told me third babies come early and quick the liars !!!!!!!!!!!!

Loads of BH's that are uncomfy but dont seem to do anything except distort my bump and make it look like a triangle !!! Lots of discharge and back pain but ive had that for weeks so dont care anymore Sad

Am now starting to get paranoid about low amniotic fluid as I have googled overdue babies far too much !!! My other 2 were born by now whats going on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it a boy thing lol

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 25/07/2011 09:47

Yeah, a big fat RASPBERRY to anyone who took a look at my bump and said 'Oooh, you'll never make it to 24th July'

Friend on FB didn't help, two of his friends (me being one) were due around the same time. When she had hers he posted 'Congrats, and just goes to show how lazy Trina's being' Angry Didn't help that a) she was two weeks EARLY and b) I'm too far away from him to hit him. LAZY? Like that's got anything to do with it, the bastard! If he'd seen me last week having a complete mental breakdown because my right leg wouldn't bear weight AT ALL he'd have been a bit more careful with his words AngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

MrsVidic · 25/07/2011 12:05

Trina men say some bloody stupid things- especially when they r your mates and not in a hittable distance!

I completely get the disappointment thing- I think as I've done it once I know it's not imminent. Each time I wake in the night for a wee I get really disappointed I'm not in labour
I've got really bad bh's and I've decided sex isn't working so I'm going to have the night off.

I've just come home from a 3 mile walk and nothing! It seems this baby is going to be late!
I know in my head I'm not due for 10 more days but I'm so over being this fat!

Darlingdamsel · 25/07/2011 12:19

Guys thanks for making me feel that is ok to be disappointed. I was having a good old pity party (and still am). I am meeting my midwife at 3 to talk about a sweep today and an induction on Thursday if I am lucky.

I just never thought this last stretch would be such a bummer, but I know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 25/07/2011 12:28

It's all been compounded by everyone (consultant included!) assuming I'd go early. Agree about it being worse this time: last time I had no idea what would happen, in what order it would kick off. This time I'm jumping at every slightest tweak and twinge and getting pissed off when they don't turn into anything :( I'm not even having BHs (but didn't with DD so no surprise), and so completely fed up. Now sitting here in tears for no actual reason other than I want this OVER :'(

corneliak · 25/07/2011 13:33

Another one that was told I would go early, midwife kept saying at appointments "Surprised to still see that baby inside" .

I wake up too and feel gutted that contractions haven't started; more so at nigh when I bounce on the yoga for an hour after the kids are in bed, have sex and do some nipple stuff...and nothing happens!

Trying to enjoy the last few weeks as I know it could be our last, but its so hard! I only started MAT leave last week and I am so bored already (summer hols helps)

4 days till the due date, I feel bad cause we have zoo, camping, road trips planned but cant do anything before he is born (43 minutes last one, so cant leave home area!)

Well, on the bright side, there can only be a max of 2 weeks and 4 days; even if thats induction :( Hoping if that happens they can just pop the gel inside and let me still do homebirth!

oinkyoink · 25/07/2011 14:02

I didn't have a show with dd. But I now have the egg white thing... Do you think it's a sign?
I was at Dau this morning as hadn't felt baby all day yesterday and evening/night. Heartbeat was good and he moved a little. Midwife was happy w it. I've been in 3/4 times w low fetal movement now. Does anyone else have this?

Well done nicplus1 any hour/day now you'll be in full labour and meeting your little one soon. Exciting!!!

corneliak · 25/07/2011 14:06

oinkyoink I hope the egg white thing is a sign, I am having lots too!

BB3 · 25/07/2011 15:25

Hi all, sorry to gatecrash your thread but just wanted to say how nice it is to read people going through similar things and actually saying them!!!

I am only 29 weeks with twins so still have 6-8 weeks left so a fraud being here and complaining but am feeling equally frustrated, fat and uncomfortable and emotional!!

Anyway good luck with all the signs and fingers crossed it's coming to something x

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 25/07/2011 16:45

UGH FFS! Spent most of today feeling sure I could feel something leaking. Didn't check it as I didn't want to be disappointed - well finally had to admit defeat and go to the loo: nothing. Not even damp.

WIBU to ring my midwife and ask for another sweep before Thursday? I've spent most of today in tears :(

aStarInStrangeways · 25/07/2011 16:50

oinkyoink my baby has been a lot quieter the last few days too. She is moving, but having less vigorous bouts of moshing and more sort of sweeping motions, elbow pokes etc.

I have had tons of egg white mucus going on for weeks, so nothing to get excited about for me there (sorry!)

Feeling quite crampy just now, after taking DS for pizza and playground with my folks. Good grief I'm tired. Sympathies to everyone else who is feeling crap and wishing the time away.

Darlingdamsel · 25/07/2011 17:10

Ladies ... induction booked for Thursday! Whoohooo ....

I know its not exactly the way I had hoped, but its best for my body. They just did a sweep, which oddly I felt almost nothing of and he is in the right position, but the cervix is closed (but at least soft).

Now I know its only two more days to wait - I can finally relax a bit!

Wish you guys the best.

corneliak · 25/07/2011 17:57

Can they do a seep if the cervix is closed? This might be an odd question, can anyone feel ther cervix? FRom the inside? Or anyones hubby? For me it's neither. Makes me scared that nothing is happening at all :s

TLM I had the same feeling and nothing :(

Darlingdamsel · 25/07/2011 18:10

Good question ... I guess its then an attempted sweep. She put her hand up there as far as she could, declared my cervix was 2 cm and closed ... but soft?

Oh well ... been reading about induction ... gosh, wow!

Vix286 · 25/07/2011 18:24

Can I join in, 40+2 now and was feeling OK about everything up until Friday when the text messages started from people and today one of the others in my NCT class not due until the 30th Jul gave birth today Envy

My DH is driving me mad asking me how I feel and asking me what's happening every time I visit the toilet, (he is focusing on the upset stomach as a first sign of labour thing).

Have got quite strong braxton hicks, and I started having "show" type stuff yesterday as it doesn't look like the normal discharge (sorry TMI)

Will see MW Thursday, I assume she will offer to sweep me then??

witches · 25/07/2011 18:50

Hi darling we will be induction buddies! I thought if you were 2cm dilated then you were open? Im the same and hoping it might have increased some more by thu. I had an attempted sweep the week before and was still closed and ladt week she has written 2cm midposition and soft.

Darlingdamsel · 25/07/2011 19:15

I think she said it 2 cm in length but closed, so alas I am behind ... but still - Happy Thursday Induction Day!
