Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

Congratulations Mummy Tigger! Although 9.4 sounds a little large for me. I'll take the smaller model, thank you Confused.

3 days overdue here and fed up. Had my friends poking me today (trying to help push baby down Hmm) and a slightly painful calf rub which seemed to bring on a contraction - so my friend said - belly had been strangely soft all morning and rub made it go hard again, as it normally is. No idea what it was all about but nothing much has happened since then. Helped my friend unpack her house hoping extra movements and lifting might help but nada.

So much to do around my house and garden and just can't do it all. Caught up with 3 friends yesterday and walking home up the hill nearly killed me. Not to mention my friend who is a week behind me looks perfect and has only put on a stone Envy. No one else I know who is pg has carpel tunnel, which is the main thing I can't wait to loose when the little monkey finally decides to arrive.

Well, she'll be a Leo now it seems!

titferbrains · 22/07/2011 21:15

joining you even tho I've a way to go yet. 31 wks. Think baby grew a bit last week and is now pushing hard against my tummy muscles, all afternoon, which are very tender and sore. Feels like I'm running out of room, very uncomfortable. Head is down and when I crouch down I regularly feel like baby could in fact fall out. All quite sore down there because of pressure. Just getting slower and slower and am worried about just how much Peppa DD is going to watch this August because I really cannot be bothered to move very far.

Am trying to make lists of useful things I need to order/buy before baby comes but it still feels a way away. My close friend had her baby on 7th July and having visited her I am now trying to pretend that arrival of crying demanding feeding baby is not happening. It's impossible to get anything done! REally hope mine is utterly adorable and that I fall instantly in love so I can have a rest from ALL THE COMPLAINING.

MrsVidic · 23/07/2011 08:41

Hi new people- I had Mw appt yesterday and I'm 2/5 engaged- she thinks I may be soon Hmm but I'm sceptical. I'm 38+ 2 dpi know I could have quite the wait!
Meanwhile I'm demanding all of the old wives tales- I just want this baby out

Darlingdamsel · 23/07/2011 08:55

Still no baby ... sigh.

minicorrect · 23/07/2011 09:01

Oh god I'm so fed up it's unbelievable. 39w tomorrow and cannot believe I'm still pregnant as I was so convinced this baby would be early. Back and pelvic pain have escalated hugely in the last couple of days to the point where I can't sit, sleep, stand or basically move. DP is being sympathetic but still keeps spending all day on the bloody computer leaving me to entertain DD who is potty training and needs lots of carrying to the toilet. My parents arrived on Thursday night and took DD out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon and DP decided this would be a good time to wander round the shops in peace as there were some sales on. I just want to scream and cry constantly as it's obvious she really isn't getting how I'm feeling. I just want this baby out and wake up every morning close to tears when I find I'm still pregnant. I am so bored of just sitting around with nothing I can do and trying not to lose my patience with DD who wants me to be her climbing frame and play hide and seek with her. And then DP gets annoyed at her for bothering me and annoyed at me for not doing things right (I gave DD milk and a biscuit yesterday which she then spilt everywhere and that was my fault). I just want to scream and run away until this is over. Baby was still 3/5 engaged at MW appointment on Thurs am and despite DP wanting to be driven 20 miles to look at an amp, MW suggested I go home and sleep which I did very gratefully.

And to rub salt in the wound, my parents very confidently told me yesterday that I looked too well and happy to be about to give birth so I guess I'm doing a good job of hiding how I'm really feeling.
So sorry for the moan but nowhere else to do it and feel at breaking point at the moment.
Hope you're all doing better than me!! Stiff upper lip and chin up and all that!!

oinkyoink · 23/07/2011 09:15

Poor you mini, but just remember it really won't be that much linger until baby is here!!! I know how hard it is entertaining dd- I'm in the same boat and she constantly wants to go to the park around the corner. It kills me to wall around there as I'm 37 weeks today.

Dd was born on the dot at 37 weeks so I feelfunny about today!!! I'm sure it won't but still... At last check up baby was very engaged, 1or 2:5ths free. Midwife said she thought I wouldn't make it to due date but no one knows at all that's my opinion.

Good vibes to everyone else who's losing patience. I'm not too bad yet as 37 today but I'm guessing it will get worse. Have back, leg and hip pain and wake up at 5am every day.

oinkyoink · 23/07/2011 09:16

Oh and big congrats to all the new babies and their mummies!!! :)

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 23/07/2011 10:01

Congrats to Tigger (and a slightly irritated EnvyWink)

Harry Potter didn't work and the seats were so uncomfortable I thought the film was four hours long: at one point had back twinges so painful I don't know if they were contractions or just back pain :( (DH said he was uncomfy too so I know it wasn't just my pregnant body!)

Jealous of all you on baby2 or more whose babies are engaged: DD never engaged and I was trying to convince myself that second babies don't until we go into labour (as this one isn't even a little bit engaged either) - now I'm getting panicky again :(

Getting wound up by DD too, she's determined to climb on me, poke me, prod me, not let me rest when I need to. Had a proper breakdown on Thursday, determined that the sweep hadn't worked, furious with myself for trusting and believing HCPs again after last time, fed up with DD (poor soul), fretting about not going into labour naturally before 2nd Aug... I was a complete mess when he got home :(

Darlingdamsel · 23/07/2011 11:16

It just occured to me ... I wonder how Jimmy is doing? Her induction was yesterday? Hopefully it won't be a long slog.

Nicplus1and1baking · 23/07/2011 11:27

well update from me, woke up at 3am with wet between the legs Blush
no loads but am almost positive waters - def not pee as dh thought, have had a couple of leaks on top so far today but nothing else as yet, so watch this space x

SpannerPants · 23/07/2011 12:04

Jimmy had a little boy yesterday morning Darlingdamsel, she said she'd update properly when she gets out of hospital :)

Orbinator · 23/07/2011 12:16

Still very pg here. Ate a huge slice of ginger cake that I made for the MW's last week (thinking she might be early or on time-pffft!) at 1am after remembering ginger is meant to start contractions but no joy.

About to do a 4mile walk to a friend's mum's house to make bunting (my sewing machine blew up and hers knocks the socks of mine anyway) so hoping all of the walking will start something. Looking outside it's getting cloudy so I'll prob just get soaked.

My friend's due date is tomorrow so I'm heading there afterwards to do a pineapple medley. Cocktails followed by pineapple and ice cream or something...

It's eviction day, bubs.

MrsVidic · 23/07/2011 12:19

Oink and mini I have a 2 yr old and feel your pain at being physically unable to keep up. My Mw bollocked me for playing football the other night ( in a nice way as it did bring on SPd which has now gone- but I was in bloody agony)

I've just taken dd to the park and swimming with daddy but he starts work at 2 so god knows how I will fill the day! Dd has been potty trained a few months ago but as she is just 2 she can get on to the toilet herself even with a step and the holding and lifting involved is killing me!

corneliak · 23/07/2011 21:33

Hello everyone, I used to be on these rooms years ago with my son (hes now 5!)

I am 39+1 now and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my goodness am I ready to have this baby!

Another boy this time (I have a 2 year old daughter too) and hes not engaged at all! Does anyone else feel like the heads going to come Over the pelvis? When I sit on my yoga ball, this is what it feels like...?!

We've tried deep breath Walking (5miles) sex (twice a day) Nipple tweaking (for almost an hour) 2 whole pineapples (ouch! Tongue!) lots of ginger beer, so much bouncing on the yoga ball, lots of bending over cleaning up toys, and cleaning the floors, vacuuming and running on the spot!

I have never had a sweep before but hoping my midwife offers this on tuesday when I see her, also planning a home birth so really not hoping to be induced!

My son was 41+1 and daughter was 37+1...

Nice to have a room to rant eh!

Ginger cake anyone?

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 24/07/2011 06:39

corneliak Sex twice a day? I didn't get that before my FIRST was born, let alone now she's here and I'm 40 weeks! Envy

So anyway yes, today is The Due Date and there's no sign still. Officially past the 72 hours in which the sweep might have had any effect, so left to feel pissed off with the consultant for putting me through it for no reason. Woke up at half five and the brain just wouldn't shut up. Now torn between doing something quiet so as not to wake everyone and being as loud as possible to make them suffer too...

Darlingdamsel · 24/07/2011 11:06

40+3 ... still no baby.

Sigh

Orbinator · 24/07/2011 11:11

Anyone over 40+5? Had lots of hopeful signs last night although no show. Eventually fell asleep about 3:50am but nothing this morning. Bouncing on my ball and thinking a dip in the birthing pool might help. With ginger cake and raspberry leaf tea of course Wink
4 more days to the second attempted sweep, what will come first I wonder?

Nicplus1and1baking · 24/07/2011 11:50

WE HAVE LIFT OFF Grin at 41 plus 4

Went to hosp yesterday with suspected ruptured waters, turned out i must have just peed myself lol
Anyway while i was there 1, they discovered baby is now back to back great!! and 2, she offerered me another sweep while she was down there....
go for it i said the one i had last wk hadnt hurt 1 bit, but oh my effing god the woman kippered me i could barely walk out of the hosplital.
But anyway been having contractions since 3 am still only approx 10 mins apart but really starting to hurt!!

Am scared now eek

oinkyoink · 24/07/2011 11:51

Those of you who are around 40 weeks now, is baby's head engaged? Just wondering if this is a factor in not going 'early'? Is it poss for baby to have engaged fully and still get to 40 weeks?
Good luck w all the tricks to everyone trying to bring on labour!!!

Darlingdamsel · 24/07/2011 12:02

Baby has been engaged for ages ... I don't think it makes any real difference.

Good luck Nic!

corneliak · 24/07/2011 12:18

Babys head isnt engaged here, my daughter didn't engaged till birth, although she was 37 weeks.

Just did a few hours of gardening this morning, hurt my hands but nothing else; does anyone find its weird wanting to feel pain? lol

Nicplus1and1baking I had back to back with my son, he was 41+1 and it took 6 hours at home, I really dont think back to back is too bad; just get your hubby/birth partner to learn some backrubs, thats what we did and it helped SO much!

Is there any 'technique' to using the yoga ball, just bounce, or rotate or...?

aStarInStrangeways · 24/07/2011 12:24

I think just bounce and rotate with your legs apart Grin Keeps the pelvis open, apparently. Got ours out of the garage to discover it's missing its valve, so no bounce for me Angry

Did you know that in Hong Kong you're absolutely not allowed to use a birth ball unless you've taken approved classes and got a certificate? I mean, wtf is that about.

Orbinator · 24/07/2011 12:36

Wooo! Go nic, heaven knows you deserve it at over 41 weeks!

I looked up about birthing balls this morning too - here's the link I found
www.birthingballs.co.uk/ Has a video and everything (inc annoying music).

Lazy day here for me. Bouncing about and relaxing after a long day yesterday. Didn't get home till 11:30 and then had contractions until 3:50ish when I finally fell asleep. Back to normal this morning Angry.

corneliak · 24/07/2011 15:05

Thanks for that link, will check it out tonight! Did some painting and baby wearing with my 2 year old this afternoon, about to put on my roast for tonight. Oh and re-arranging my bedroom, I do have a husband ... Somewhere lol

Has any one not had a show? Had one with my other two, just lots of 'egg white' atm

Orbinator · 24/07/2011 15:18

Not had a show here either. Although I read that you can pass it on the loo, so unless you check through your business you could miss it. Personally getting back up off the seat is struggle enough sometimes without peering into the bowl afterwards! Wink
