Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

Oh we must share an EDD Shaz! I had to stop driving my car weeks ago, I swapped with DH as his car had much more room for the bump (despite being a smaller car), then we replaced my car anyway to fit no.3 in and I can fit ok in the new car. Some cars are definitely more accommodating than others. I've never driven this late in pg before. Last time I was too ill, and the time before that I couldn't fit from 36 weeks. Glad I can drive now though or DS wouldn't be able to get to pre-school and neither of the DC would get to their swimming etc.

smellyeli · 21/06/2011 09:03

39+3 here. Like a bad-tempered elephant, lumbering around the urban jungle. PGP and sciatica, reflux plus a three year old who thinks sleep is for the weak and a husband in denial. Planned to go swimming today but actually going back to bed - thank goodness for free nursery sessions. Not sure I have enough gaviscon in the house to cope with a whole pineapple. Hang in there everyone - it will all be worth it!

buttonmoon78 · 21/06/2011 09:21

I get the misshapen bump thing too Nic. Looks v odd!

Off to MW in a minute for a check up. Currently I'm v busy - eating jelly beans, drinking lemonade (I'm soooo gonna regret that) and MNing Grin

mookickkick · 21/06/2011 09:31

Nice to know I'm not alone! Totally fed up and can't wait for it all to be over, whether it's a CS or whatever (low-lying placenta might keep baby from engaging). Also going to smack the next person who says I am huge or expecting twins. I still have 6 weeks ffs. Anyone else snoring so badly that they've driven DH out of bed (not actually so bad)???

We'll all get through these final weeks somehow!

buttonmoon78 · 21/06/2011 09:53

MooKK I posted this on my ante-natal thread on Sunday:

'And yesterday I had a funny (oh, hilarious) conversation in Tesco's. You know, the sort where you just think 'shut up, shut up now'? It went like this:

Me:
Cashier: Oh, how lovely, twins!
Me:

Meanwhile, dh is back, almost incoherent with mirth, ds is utterly bemused and I'm about to spontaneously combust. Everyone between aisles 12 & 15 is looking at me and my bump, assessing whether they think I'm due in 6 weeks or not, assessing shape and height OR pissing themselves laughing!

If I'd been wearing a hat I'd have sent ds round with it to collect coppers Grin'

I can laugh now but it wasn't quite so funny then!

thisisstupid · 21/06/2011 09:55

i found eating a chilli brought on premature labour with my first so once my other half gets back from the lake district, he's working there tonight i'm eating a whole bag full and hopefully it will result in a nice plump, adorbale cute little baby any one want to join me lol

Frankie000 · 21/06/2011 09:59

Im going to have another moan :( Feel worse today than I did last night, this babys so low now it feels like its going to fall out any min. Ive got to walk to tesco in a min with my 14 month old, can hardly walk Im so uncomfortable and it looks like its going to piss down any sec. Can not wait for this to be over!!

munkeychops · 21/06/2011 10:47

I want to join! I'm 38 weeks with my first and really fed up of it now!

I feel really hefferish and to top it off I've refused to buy anymore maternity clothes for a while (would prefer to spend the money on lovely none maternity clothes when I get some kind of normal body back!) so am down to just a couple of items of clothes that I have to wear over and over again!

I have really achey ankles/feet, I remember when I first got pregnant my partner saying that he would massage me whenever I needed - I believed him as well!

Just to further add to the rant, I burst into tears last night for no reason whatsoever, I'm like some crazy fat bag lady!

willowcrow · 21/06/2011 10:49

Can I join please? 40+ 3 with DC4 and showing no signs of progress - Im with you Frankie000 it really feels like he could fall out at a moments notice and I certainly cant sit down! Im having at least 3 long showers a day now as its the only relief I can get from the backache/hip pain/shocking braxton hicks.

Last night I got in the bath with DC3 ( aged 2) who decided to wash mummy's bump. " are you coming out soon baby?" she asks my bump.... "what did he say? " I asked. "He said NO... next Friday" my little one replies.

ANC appointment at the hopital this afternoon and they are always 2 hours late... great for my high BP!! may beg for a S&S even tho' policy says not until after 41 weeks.

ShazGJ · 21/06/2011 10:56

Mumble - we have a transit van I can still drive at a push but found after walking round town looking for fathers day pressie last week I was too knackered to heave myself back in, took about 4 attempts and felt like a beached whale.

I would want a quick birth but moving house around due date just waiting for everything to go through at the moment, so actually hoping to go overdue as don't know where I could fit baby amongst the boxes here. Therefore avoiding pineapple and curries like the plague.

Badgerwife · 21/06/2011 11:10

"But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!"

I am SO glad I am not the only one feeling like this! DH is very touchy feely which I usually love but recently when he wants to nuzzle my neck it gives me the same feeling you get when touching chalk, nails on blackboard etc. It is completely unbearable.

I'm 35+ and have had enough but very aware I've got ages to go still.

brizzagirl · 21/06/2011 11:11

39+4 here so not even overdue yet but sooooo fed up, especially as DS1 arrived at 37 weeks so have no experience of getting this far and I am not enjoying it.
Heavy, bored, uncomfortable and had a false alarm on Saturday night, thought yay the baby is coming then nothing... To top it off my friend who was due after me had her baby on Sunday arrgghhh!!!
Also have lots of people who want to go for a coffee or lunch and I am so bored of having the same conversation about impending birth, boy or girl etc, sounds so ungrateful doesn't it!!

mumblebum · 21/06/2011 11:21

Oh I've been getting the comments on how huge my bump is and how I must be about to drop, and am I sure there's only one in there, for ages now Hmm. It just makes me want to thump someone. At no other time do people think it's ok to comment on how big you are so why now? And what exactly are you supposed to say to it?

It will be worth it in the end, it will be worth it in the end, it will be worth it...

smellyeli · 21/06/2011 11:22

buttonmoon you have cheered me up with your Tesco story, though. What gives people the right??? Hilarious. I have no idea where you live but will keeping an eye out for Janice in my local Tesco.

I have been back to bed but can't sleep because of leg pain (well, more foot pain really - combination of swelling and sciatica) so I am off swimming just to feel like I am doing something. Am finding the school run a little tedious - 'Still pregnant then?' No, I had it last night and have left it in the car and just look as fat as I did when it was inside 'Yes, 'fraid so!' 'Ooo you won't know what's hit you when it's here, three is so much worse than two' etc. etc.

Just SHUT UP or confine yourself to remarks about the weather.
Very glad to be able to have a good moan! Unwilling to do it in RL as actually have been pretty lucky to a) be able to get pregnant and b) get through pregnancy without any major complications, but it's good to vent!

spatchcock · 21/06/2011 11:26

I'm 37+4 or something and feel fine physically, but just really impatient.

Please come out baby ... am ready!

Can I just say I sympathise with nicolamumof3 - have also had in laws staying and it did Not Go Well.

nicolamumof3 · 21/06/2011 11:42

button how bloody rude. I've had these comments 'oh you can't be 36w..is that right? you are HUGE' blah sodding blah!

grrrrrrrrr

jenna13 · 21/06/2011 12:13

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and am starting to get really fed up, none of my shoes fit anymore, so having to wear flip flops in the rain, hands to fat for rings, constant back ache, I Tried to go shopping on saturday and eneded up nearly growling at people in the street who refused to walk around me, surely they can see its a lot easier for them to move around me than for me to attempt to get round them, i'm the size of a house! Also very strangely an old man bumped into me yesterday and felt up my bum as he stumbled past, what kind of person gropes a pregnant woman in public??

emolly · 21/06/2011 12:17

Due date tomorrow and no signs yet. This thread has given me a good chuckle, I especially liked the comment about how eating the pineapple would at least pass some time!!

I had 2 lovely jehovah witness ladies at my door earlier this morning, I was so tempted to invite them in even if just for the company!! They have given me a booklet which I may even be tempted to read.

Anyway off to raid the fridge for the highlight of the day - lunch :-)

ShazGJ · 21/06/2011 12:25

Jenna - know what you mean about the shoe situation I am currently in some old work shoes with a trodden down heel. Also wearing wedding ring On necklace. Wake up each morning and find it difficult to move my fat chubby fingers.

buttonmoon78 · 21/06/2011 12:32

Back from MW - baby def transverse, not full breech. Trace of protein in wee & bp slightly raised. So I have to be 'alert' for signs of PE. Happy days!

thehiddenpaw · 21/06/2011 13:02

37 weeks and was going to start a thread like this too so pleased to be in good company. Sick tired and still working to keep me busy which helps loads as am having lots of cervix pain and am sure it is just that slow opening up that will take weeks. It is slow drip water chinese torture stuff. Feel ill when I eat, spend all my time peeing, always thirsty, grumpy, tired and generally miserable. go to see my consultant 2 weeks time hopefully to be induced. Am now counting down the days.

SerenaJoy · 21/06/2011 22:56

Oof. Me.

40+4 with DC1, and fed up. Soo uncomfortable. Have SPD, really tight achey bump, and I keep feeling like the baby's head might just pop out into my knickers at any moment. I'm already getting people calling and texting to ask if there's any news, and am so grumpy I can barely keep a civil tongue in my head. I took a stupid notion to do lots of housework today (hoping that's a positive sign but I doubt it!) so am knackered, and all I've done is waddle around my house.

Off to the hospital tomorrow to the induction clinic, whatever that means. Am assuming someone will have a rummage and tell me there's no chance of anything happening anytime soon, and book me in for an induction.

prolificwillybreeder · 22/06/2011 06:42

Hi all! Sorry to hear there are so many of us fed up!
So I went into labour last night... then it bloody stopped AGAIN!
It got so bad at one point I did think the hospital was the next stop.
Now, I'm kind of on the edge of contractions :( so fed up now!
Hmmph and I have to look after DS all day with these mild pains. I don't know whether to get my mum over or not, feel a bit of a fraud.

OP posts:
buttonmoon78 · 22/06/2011 07:23

Get your mum over. I did what you are suggesting when in sort-of-labour with dc2 - ended up knackered and labour took much longer. You need to conserve some energy!

Good luck!

prolificwillybreeder · 22/06/2011 07:41

Thanks, I think I will. Feel quite emotional!
Just feel such a fraud with all these stop starts! So frustrating! I know I don't want to be on my own.
Have any others in subsequent pregnancies come over a bit spaced out and really tired when they contractions started coming.
I just have back ache and aches between legs at the moment.
Really thought last night it was the real thing.
