Morning everyone from the other side!!!!GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Well we got off to a rather late start as it was extremely busy!!! Arrived at hospital at approx 2:00pm
My doc didn't hang around to get things moving breaking my waters (3:30pm) after they been monitoring me & baby for 30 mins approx....the actual breaking wasn't bad but O BOY he gave me some sweep!! In fact it was Prob the worst part of the whole experience
They then put me on a drip to start contractions increasing strength every 30mins. the plan was another internal after 4hrs to check progress didn't get that far...
Bit fuzzy on timings here but had about 5 good contractions..... on the gas & air at this stage....decided to check progress as I was "in true labour" now
She couldn't believe it I was 10 cm & neither could I GrinGrinGrin
So after about an hrs pushing baby was outGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
She weighs 8lb 3oz
...she was straight on the boob And seems to be a real sucker!!!
We had a great night of snuggles and is currently sound asleep on my chest...as for names although I thought it was all sorted with Rebecca we may now go for Isabella ?!?!?!?!

It's been a difficult journey for us all....so many ups & downs but I would do it all again in a second
Sending you all my love.....will be lurking as usual!!!!!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONEGrinGrin

CollieandPup · 20/07/2011 16:29

Back from mw apt, which believe it or not was at 2.20 and a 5 min walk!!! Waited an hour and 20 mins!

No views on the stomach pains. Apart from indigestion, which I did consider but as I've had them since (but much milder) doubted that would be that. Still no good advice on back pain. Another urine sample sent for tests as showing some abnormalities, but even if that comes back with something only really likely to be related to lower back, not upper back pain. Asked again about physio, but no joy. Apparently we don't have a service for that apart from people with spd and such like! Great. Looks like I'll have to get my arse in gear and book and cough up for a private appointment as I really need some help. Being told its just pregnancy hormones is just not helpful!!

Ok, grumble over. Anyone fancy a double chocolate chip muffin I made yesterday?

Minnie74 · 20/07/2011 18:25

Fabulous news urban enjoy the snuggles x

Yay lara on the team blue. Grin We want to find out too but nearly everyone in RL says not to. Some work colleagues have pretty strong feelings about it too judging from their reactions when I said we're going to find out! We don't plan on telling anyone though- except on mn obviously! I just can't wait to find out and DP really wants to know too.

orange congrats on getting the hospital you want.

collie sorry about the no joy on the back pain. I've got major upper back pain at the moment but for some reason only when I sit down. I think it's because my boobs are bigger and maybe my bra doesn't do as good a job when I sit down. It bloody hurts though-especially on a night! Never had any problems before. I was wondering about a Pilates for pregnancy class that runs near my house. Is that supposed to help your back?

When did you all first feel movements? I thought I could for the last few days. Sort of like a popping inside- can't really explain Confused But haven't felt any today and my heartburn has gone too. Had a mini panic so used my doppler and there's still a heartbeat so guess it must be normal. Does the heartbeat start to slow down as it gets bigger?

Daisybell1 · 20/07/2011 18:43

Oh my goodness, it is SOOOO long since I've been here properly! So much to catch up on (broken laptop - grrr).

Yay for MiniOrange!!!

WIW next time you come over, could you please bring some of your sunshine, not this crappy rain???

Collie so sorry for your frustrating day, and I can't believe the insensitivity of your MW just saying hormones!

Minnie stuff your work colleagues, if you want to know my dear, then you find out! My movements were sporadic - they started about week 20 as a twinge near my fanjo, but then I had nothing more until about week 24/25, and then nothing regular till week 28 ish. So don't panic! And yes Daisybean's heartbeat was about 168 at the start, but has now dropped to around the 140/150 mark.

Sorry, OH needs laptop - will be back!

mamapower · 20/07/2011 21:40

god damn it I wrote a lovely long catch up and stupid MN logged me out!!!! FFS!!

In a nutshell, lots of good news and great to see everyone doing so well. Sorry no name checks... Im too uncomfy to re-type!

tiggersreturn · 20/07/2011 21:48

Congratulations Urban

Finally am back!

Welcome to Hairy, Minnie and banana - Owl hasn't deployed her evil weapons yet, has she?

And Owl can't believe you're only 3 weeks off! Major hugs for the snottery meltdown, but am sure its completely normal. And you haven't wasted time, its just been your way of coping.

Glad your pains have settled Collie but sorry they can't find a cause. And also hugs to you for the DD, sometime a good blub can be the best thing for us. Hope you continue to feel better.

Tigger wey hey for maternity leave - I can't wait to start mine!

Orange ante-natal classes really are a reality check, aren't they? Mine provoked a major panic, and OH was in shock for hours afterwards.
