Er, punch, as in Mr Punch, the babys profile looked like Mr Punch at 12 wk scan :) He doesn't now obviously but it stuck :)

Booboostoo · 21/05/2011 11:31

Mine's been the she-spawn right from the start! Wink

pinkgirlythoughts · 21/05/2011 11:36

Bump or Bumpy. Occasionally Pickle :)

TurtlesAreRetroRight · 21/05/2011 11:42

Nothing. It's the most achingly twee thing on the planet. Grin

All this prawn, bubs, bean stuff. I blame Emma's Diary and that Flumpy nonsense for starting it.

SpannerPants · 21/05/2011 11:50

Bob - it's going to be an effort to not call him that once he's born!

Queenofthehill · 21/05/2011 12:19

For some reason, DP calls it Pinch. I don't get it, either!

harrygracejessica · 21/05/2011 12:24

First bump was spud
second bump was Bill and Ben (twins) but once born nicknames are now chicken and sparrow
third bump was hip and hop (twins again)

nickelbabe · 21/05/2011 12:32

nothing yet.
but might do once we've had a scan.

it's still quite an abstract concept Grin

ineedalcohol · 21/05/2011 12:47

Mines called pinocchio (I know how cruel!)
On the scan pic it looks like it has a long nose!
Hopefully wont stick once the baby is born! (but we are struggling for names, lol!) :o

goodegg · 21/05/2011 12:48

I have the What to Expect app on my iPhone and each week it tells me what size of fruit it is Smile so we name it after each fruit.

Currently in week 10 so it's called Prune Hmm

gembeam · 21/05/2011 13:00

Bumpkin :o

strawberrymewmew · 21/05/2011 13:06

Mines is called smartie because we had went for an early scan at 6 weeks and the picture just looked like a smartie in the middle of the screen. :o

lolajane2009 · 21/05/2011 13:10

Peanut till we knew his sex and now he is edward as that will be his name...

Eviepoo · 21/05/2011 14:14

Mine is dragon..

LittleBlueBoat · 21/05/2011 14:32

1st was Pootel
2nd is now Pippin

Paschaelina · 21/05/2011 14:39

Mine was Weeble, because he was stubbornly breech but would swing as far as transverse and back up again.

MissCKitty · 21/05/2011 14:55

It was bean until 20 week scan then we knew she was and what her name would be so she was baby J for the rest of the pregnancy.

CBear6 · 21/05/2011 15:07

Peanut until the 20 week scan and now it's a mix of She-nut, Little Miss, and Mealy.

DS was Bear and it found it's way onto his birth certificate (not as a first name though!).

I never deliberately name my bump but at some point I'll refer to it by some random name and it sticks, got to call it something and it helps me to bond so it's no bad thing.

Cattleprod · 21/05/2011 15:11

Mungo Hmm

The trouble is, whatever name we call the bump seems to grow on DP, so by the time baby's born he's seriously considering it as name. Took ages to persuade him that DS would not be called Cecil!!

scampbeast · 21/05/2011 15:15

Oh dear, we called DS the Parasite after watching an episode of "House" we both have a strange sense of humour and also it annoyed my MIL

Labella77 · 21/05/2011 18:48

Lionel - he's dancing on the womb lining.

goodegg · 21/05/2011 18:53

My little bro was late, and my parents called the bump a different name alphabetically in turn for a couple of weeks before the EDD right up to the birth, with the deal being that he'd be called the name of the day. He technically should be called Oswald Grin

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 21/05/2011 19:03

When I had DD, we called the bump "Boo", not knowing whether she was going to be a boy or girl, but we got really attached to the name, so DD ended up with that as a middle name.

This time around, we know we're having a boy, and we have been calling him Frank. Not in front of anybody, as we are tempted to use it as a middle name (its DH's granddads name who has unfortunately passed away). In front of other people, we call him Mitchell, after a friend suggested he needed a hard man name after a threatened miscarraige with him.

Joannezipan · 21/05/2011 19:09

Babbit...after we had a very long discussion about what baby rabbits were called, and it stuck.

StoneBaby · 21/05/2011 19:12

mine was Sugarsnap.

I have diabetes so with all the strict sugar control it did make sense at the time.
