PoppysMom · 23/05/2011 05:11

Poppy, as it was the size of a poppy seed when we got our BFP :)

KateeHasABunInHerOven · 23/05/2011 08:46

Squiglet - due to the wriggling I can feel in my belly as I watch the telly of an evening Grin

WaspsAnkles · 23/05/2011 13:22

DS calls him lumpy bump as he's very active and distorts my tummy into all shapes and forms

skorpion · 23/05/2011 13:39

DD1 was Trevor, Bernard seems to be sticking to this one (DD2)

Jill72 · 23/05/2011 13:45

Wriggler

Leo4 · 23/05/2011 14:41

Humphrey or Bubbagump...people actually think I am going to name my child one of these name..I mean come on........

KatieWatie · 23/05/2011 15:14

Bubba Gump from the start, it suits our aspirations for it to be in the movies Wink

lovemysleep · 23/05/2011 18:58

Another Peanut here - but only because 5 year old DD looked and decided it was the size of a peanut when we told her about the baby. DD was pip - again as she was the size of an one when we first saw her on a scan

LDNmummy · 23/05/2011 19:53

Bubba, or Bubbaloo.

Sumi76 · 24/05/2011 10:45

puppy ! funny story to it coz one day hubby called me a bitch in jest and i said ok so the one inside me is a puppy and the name kinda stuck :)

MamaLaMoo · 24/05/2011 10:52

DD1 was called Sparky as she was a little spark of life, DD2 (due in August) is called Wriggle. It is nice to have a name for her, we call it her tummy name, so DD1 can talk about her rather than just refer to "the baby".

DD1s suggestion for her real name was Forsythia Dinga Dinga Dinga Dinga Woo Baby. Probably not going with that choice.

Ernie1 · 24/05/2011 14:37

We call it Brian! Can't remember why now but its definitely stuck - poor thing if it turns out to be a girl, will be hard not to carry on calling her that!

What are baby rabbits called?

Leo4 · 24/05/2011 15:42

bunnies?

nickelbabe · 25/05/2011 11:25

after last night's scan, we've decided to nickname it Fidget.
because it just kept moving during the scan.
Grin

PrincessScrumpy · 25/05/2011 11:37

dd (3) calls them Dandelion and Raspberry (twins) so we've said that's their name in my tummy but when they come out they'll have different names!

DH has always called them fireflies (firefly to start with until we found out there were 2!)

CandyS · 25/05/2011 12:40

Cletus the Foetus. my reasoning is if we call it Cletus for nine months, any name I pick for it when it's born would sound amazing by comparison Grin

Ernie1 Baby buns are called kittens, or kits for short.

FloweryBoots · 25/05/2011 13:26

Ours was chops. Started out as baby chops adn got shortened to chops. Still sometimes call him chops, though more often grabby chops now!

Melly19MummyToBe · 25/05/2011 13:38

This one was just 'baby' or 'the baby', now we know the sex she's Poppy, Poppy-Lou (Poppy-Louise), or Poppyraptor (after her moneypot thing that DPs' mum bought her)

nancerama · 25/05/2011 13:38

In the early days it was Parasite - because I was permanently hungry and then sick. Now it's Sprout. I have a feeling that Sprout will stick...

Ziggimajiggi · 25/05/2011 13:54

scampbeast - We call our wee one parasite too! It doesn kinda cheer you up when it's been a tough day :)

Amybecomesamum · 25/05/2011 13:56

We got fed up of 'It' quite quickly so bump has become Baby Bear after the Goldilocks story.

Broody1976 · 25/05/2011 15:10

We called it Kreacher. We watched Harry Potter just after we got our BFP - I know Kreacher is a baddy (ish!) but the name has stuck.

starjules · 25/05/2011 17:01

Betty Bean. No idea if i'm having a boy or girl thou!

NewMummy5July2011 · 25/05/2011 17:46

Bean, Beanie or Beanie-boo - I went for an early scan after a scare and she looked like a kidney bean. Now that I'm 34 weeks, we've grown really attached to the name and finding it hard to choose a real one!!

Dutchie77 · 25/05/2011 21:06

Little otter...

We always say that we are our 'significant otter'.
