First one was pudding and this one's dumpling- more to do with the appearance of my belly really- sort of pale and round and a bit squishy!

PrettyVacant1 · 21/05/2011 19:54

Darth. Smile
Goes well with our surname, worryingly though, kinda getting used to now . HmmSmile

josieangel · 21/05/2011 19:54

Elvish.... no idea why!

heavenstobetsy · 21/05/2011 19:59

My DD was bingo, because one month of trying and bingo I was pregnant!

My DS was Freddie for a while (can't remember why now) but became elvis as that's what my DD wanted to call him Grin

ShazGJ · 21/05/2011 20:37

Our bump is called Bindy Badgey after DH was making up silly names. It just stuck. Definitely won't be called this after the birth!

WiiUnfit · 22/05/2011 01:37

"Kicky-Punchy" after being kicked & punched simultaneously! Grin This evolves to "Hiccy-Punchy" if LO has hiccups!

Occassionally "Bumpy" or "Baba" too. :)

PenguinArmy · 22/05/2011 02:51

My bumps have always been "The Pooper".
We watched a lot of Northern Exposure when we first started dating, talked about one day having a pooper of our own. 15years later, I got pregnant and the nickname popped back out as if we had never stopped talking about poopers.

highheelsandequations · 22/05/2011 12:21

pip - DP christened it after an early scan when it was the size of a grapefruit pip. Going to be hard to call it something different when it arrives :)

nannyl · 22/05/2011 12:29

very original.... BUMP Grin

scarlettsmummy2 · 22/05/2011 12:32

this one is going to be spud 2, as first one was spud

yummymango · 22/05/2011 13:10

Ours is mouse! After having an early scan at 8 weeks it just looked like a little sugar mouse!

FloralOne · 22/05/2011 13:25

'Mini' or 'Mini Mac'- as we don't know the baby's sex, but don't like calling the baby 'it'.

BakingBunty · 22/05/2011 14:51

I asked DH whether he could spot a bump yet when I was about 12 weeks. He said 'looks like pudding to me'... Now 27 weeks, and the bump is still called pudding...

KatyN · 22/05/2011 20:28

Mine is called Maty.. it's half his dad (Mark) and half me (Katy).
There has been much speculation that the next one might be called Kark.

believe me at the minute there is NO HOPE of a second one!!!

catgirl1976 · 22/05/2011 20:30

Mines Boris - just hope it doesnt stick when he (or worse she) is born

wheresmytractor · 22/05/2011 20:35

First child was named grub, as we were watching i'm a celebrity get me out of here and in the early days the embryo looks like a witchety grub Blush

second child was named pip, in a book it said it was the size of an apple pip.

Current pregnancy bump is called fluff. No idea why.

TrinaW · 22/05/2011 20:42

Wriggles, after seeing a very active 12 week scan

ItsOscarTime · 22/05/2011 20:50

My bump was Gilbert. When I told friends at work that it was the size of a grape (ohh that seems like so long ago!!), someone drew a face on a grape and left it on my desk. The grape was named Gilbert, and the name stuck the whole way through my pregnancy. When he was born, they were quite disappointed that I didn't name him Gilbert!!

davidtennantsmistress · 22/05/2011 20:53

ds was beanie.

this one is clydie (DP's choice not mine, was clyde but we did the ie as we didn't want to be gender specifc. :o) now & again will call by the name we've picked.

Prinpo · 22/05/2011 21:43

I quite like giving them a bump name. I wouldn't want to use their final name until they were born and we were certain what they'd be called but I need to have something to call them otherwise it's all "what colour shall we paint the baby's room" and so on. DD3, due in July, is called Lemmy as she was about the size of a lemon when other DDs found out about her. In line with her sisters, her bump name will be taken on by the teddy we buy for her so her teddy will be Teddy Lem.

joshop · 22/05/2011 22:01

Rocky - which I quite like now. Quite tempted to name him that when he arrives just wind up MIL!

bettyboo83 · 22/05/2011 22:18

Beanlet Smile

posterofagirl · 23/05/2011 00:13

Cub. Because one midwife refered to her as a little tiger when she was doing her kicking punching avoiding having her heartbeat listened to thing. It just stuck
