Can I join too? My first due Dec and having to learn all about pg. Are you all on the December thread already? Check the antenatal clubs on topics.

mopsytop · 15/04/2011 12:20

The more the merrier! Didn't know there was a December thread! Where is it?

I don't know to post links but chat is under Due December 2011!! (573 Posts)
And if you look under Ante Natal Clubs in topics you find the December stats too listing everyone due in Dec.

mopsytop · 15/04/2011 14:10

I don't think I am showing but I definitely feel bigger. My jeans felt tighter which is what made me test in the first place. My boobs are DEFINITELY bigger. Mammoth already....and heavy! Yuk

mopsytop totally understand the worry about moving. I am travelling at the moment so don't even know how I am going to organise appointments and scans. I am not registered at a doctors yet!

mopsytop · 15/04/2011 16:31

Well Teacup I guess we will figure it out! It must be the case for lots of people.

Morning all can I join too please? After a few lines on tests on weds/thurs i finally got the word 'pregnant' come up on one of the digi tests this morning Grin very excited, very scared! First time ever being pregnant so still learning a lot! think I'm 5 weeks and due 18th Dec! Boobs def starting to feel bigger but my main problems are the amount of bloating I have as am sure I look pg already and as others had said I was planning to lose some weight but didn't so was already in all of my 'fat' trousers anyway so having problems with work clothes at the moment! Also been v constipated this week (sorry TMI) and sleeping not going well...been awake since 4:30am today Sad though am sure that could get worse! Only me and DH know at the moment! Phew! think that's enough for a first post...

Cherrypi · 16/04/2011 07:43

BlueCrane I was in my fat trousers too. Think I'm going to buy some cheap leggings in a bigger size and some roomy dresses that I saw in the sale.

BlueCrane · 16/04/2011 07:46

I'm going to see a friend today and will drive past one of the outlet villages so might have to pop in and see if Next have any cheap work trousers in the next size up to keep me going until I need mat ones...such a pain...but a good one obvioulsy! I had it all planned that I could move into my 'fat' trousers but all that seems to have happened since I came off the pill is that I put weight on...and I thought coming off the pill was supposed to make you lose weight Confused

Cherrypi · 16/04/2011 07:57

I though that too. The first time I came off the pill I lost quite a bit. Second time I gained. Was trying to diet before conceiving.

mopsytop · 16/04/2011 07:59

hi BlueCrane and Cherrpi, congratulations! Yeah, I too am podge at the mo and can only wear my 'fat' clothes. Not the way I planned it. Was losing weight (v. slowly) and wanted to lose a stone before getting pregnant but NEVER thought I would get pregnant the first month we tried! Thrilled of course but worried I am going to be a whale in 9 months time :(

BlueCrane · 16/04/2011 08:10

Guess our bodies all react differently at different times...

mopsytop · 16/04/2011 13:40

Finally got to tell my husband! Only got back home today. Was SO hard to wait to tell him! But he is thrilled too but also totally surprised. We neither expected to get pregnant so fast!

Yup as i said in my other post first time came about very quickly and i think i am due on the 01st December based on date of what i think was my last period. Trying not to get carried away until i have seen dr but it is hard.

Im wondering whether i am further on as already feel bigger and my pelvis area feels taut like i have done lots of sit ups. Also been feeling maybe a little but queasy today for the first time or i could just be imagining it.

have been terrified of being pregnant and childbirth most of my life and when i thought it would months off just forgot about it but unfortunately all those thoughts have rushed back, not looking forward to the poking and prodding ahead.

mopsytop · 17/04/2011 11:10

I felt sick already at implantation. And really tired in the evenings. I thought I had a bug because it never even crossed my mind symptoms could start that early and we had only started trying the week before! I guess if you do a digital test it will say roughly how far along you are? Mine said 2-3 weeks but it's actually only 2 (or 4 really). I am sure you will get used to the poking and prodding! It will be worth it to have a lovely little baby at the end. Any friends I have who have had kids already say you just get used to it and start whipping off your knickers as soon as you get into the doctors surgery!!!!!!!

Wiwa · 17/04/2011 11:12

Hello everyone! Blue crane- I have the same due date as you! Feeling pretty bloated myself and am gonna need to hide my boobs when I return to work next week - they are mahoosive! :) I am starting to feel quite scared about it all now, guess you guys are feeling the same. Got tearful today with DH when he said he'd paint our spare room up for baby nearer the time

  • hormones!
mopsytop · 17/04/2011 11:18

I am feeling scared too! Keep going to the loo to check my knickers that my period hasn't started. Bit paranoid! I said I would just be relaxed and assume everything would be fine and only worry if/when something went wrong but I am already worrying about everything!

HI

Even tho this isn't my first can i join in, will be like learning all over again my DD is 6 will be almost 7 when bambino comes along.

Due 26th Dec, found out thursday but done 2 more tests since then all BFP, will be 4wks tomorrow, although think I ov'd early, still checking to make sure AF doesn't make an entrance, got booking in with GP on weds afternoon.

Symptoms, constant need to pee, tingly boobs and extreme tiredness.

mopsytop · 17/04/2011 18:18

Hello Darciesmum Congrats!! You must be thrilled! I have been checking my knickers all weekend in case AF makes a late entrance - paranoid. So you are not alone! I have the tiredness too, plus nausea unfortunately - can't believe the symptoms start so early!

OP posts:
DarciesmumandBump2 · 17/04/2011 18:23

Mopsytop Thanks for the welcome. Am very very excited and happy, will be a learning curve all over again just hope it all comes back to me lol.

I don't have nausea (yet) thank god, felt nauseous earlier tho. took DD to the park we sat on the swings it made me feel bleurgh lol DP laughed.

Yeah I know what you mean about the symptoms thing and being early. Didn't find out I was pg with DD till I was 16wks so kinda missed the first trimester stuff lol.

Apart from the tiredness and nausea how are you feeling?

mopsytop · 17/04/2011 18:27

I feel excited and nervous all at the same time. We planned this baby and first month we tried I got pregnant, which seems so unbelievably fortunate that I am just paranoid something will go wrong. I know it has no bearing really and I am trying just to be relaxed and happy but I am a worrier by nature, unfortunately. But I am determined to try and enjoy this instead of worrying myself about things that may never happen.

It didn't feel real at first but it's slowly sinking in and I am realising how clueless I am. But I have nine months I guess to get up to speed and then the rest of my life raising a child! Have been reading the internet all weekend about eating etc. but it seems like mainly common sense. We are both really happy and excited but also feel like it's not very real, if you see what I mean.

OP posts:
DarciesmumandBump2 · 17/04/2011 18:35

Aww I'm sure it will all go to plan :)

Common sense generally goes, along with the 'guidelines' about feeding, how to put them to sleep etc. My DD slept on her front from day one albeit propped up with a pillow lol.

We planned this one too, and thankfully like yourself have been lucky on month one. Helped as I kept record of when my AF came on an app on my iphone which also told me when I was likely to ov. Seemed to work well, oh and DP's super sperm lol.

We haven't told anyone yet. am hoping the doc will book me in for an early scan as my sis gets married in june and I'm a bridesmaid so she'll need to know but don't want to say until I know everythings alright.

mopsytop · 17/04/2011 18:41

I don't even know when to have scans or anything!

Congrats on it all working out, here's hoping everything goes to plan for both of us! You won't be showing by June will you? Or maybe you will, I have no idea when one starts showing or anything!! I need to do some reading!
