Morning all. I ate a matzo cracker first thing when I got up, and it settled my stomach enough to allow me to eat fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Feeling a bit wobbly now but hopefully will be okay. Going to nibble on crackers whenever it comes on and hopefully today will be better than yesterday! have a good day everyone.

Hi ladies, hope not feeling too queesy today. I've been trying to stay off the computer as contributing to headaches which make sickeness worse but missed the chat too much! Not been too bad back at work and managed to munch through some crackers/pitta bread and peanut butter first thing.

Went for an early scan yesterday as was still bleeding - our local unit is great and you can refer yourself. Everything in place, saw heatbeat (!!!) all tubes clear and just the one baby. Was pretty amazing. Measured 4.9mm and dated 6 weeks which is only one day out so very very relieved :) EDD 28th Dec.

Don't need new bras at the mo (I know shouldn't feel left out!) but really fancy getting stretchy trousers as stomach feeling bloated most of the day.

I haven't been back to pilates as nervous at all the core work. Going to yoga for first time since finding out tonight but we've had pregnant women in our group before so not worried.

LivinInTheMoment · 05/05/2011 13:45

LittleS I hope the cramps pass for you, I'm still getting cramps too, but not severe.

Zamba I just tried that uterus feeling, but when I pressed above my pubic bone I needed to pee!

More symptoms include Freezing cold!! Have the heating up high, my partner thinks Im crazy! Also am drinking Slimline Tonics like they are going out of fashion. Very nice. Also my left nipple has taken on a life of its own and is super sensitive. So much so that I had to put my hand down my bra and hold the cup away from my nipple. ouch.. Then it 'dies' down for another while.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 05/05/2011 13:47

Felicific ahh good to see all is alright and you got to see your bean on an ultrasound :)

Mopsy hope your sickness isn,t to bad today?

Well I have cramps today feels like period cramps but no bleeding not painful just uncomfortable - don't remember feeling this when pregnant with DD although it was 7yrs since I was last pg. So tad worried.

LivinInTheMoment · 05/05/2011 13:47

Wow Felicif scan sounds amazing! You are about same far along as me? My EDD 30/12.

BlueCrane · 05/05/2011 14:51

felicific such good news about your scan!! Smile

I still haven't heard from the hopsital re. my booking in or scan dates and will be 9 weeks tomorrow Sad just want to have a date to work towards!!

darcies I'm sure all fine, i've had period type cramps on and off most of the time...some quite painful, some less so. Think it's stretching. How's the sickness today? Is it nice have DP home?

lalababy · 05/05/2011 14:57

Hi - I've just got back from my long vacation and trying to get back in the loop with everything since I've been gone.

Felific wow that is great re the scan and to see the heartbeat!

Blue Crane I know exactly how you feel. I haven't heard anything regarding my booking appointment or scan either! So frustrating!

It is just me - but I don't seem to be having any symtoms other than feeling tired and blocked nose... I hope everything is okay!

CandyS · 05/05/2011 15:03

Thought I should pop my head in! Hi everyone! EDD 20/12, this will be our first.

I'm 7 weeks, and yet to get morning sickness, is that quite normal?...crossing my fingers I avoid it for the rest of the pregnancy.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 05/05/2011 15:57

Blue I'd keep on calling your MWs dept until you get a date as time is getting on and must be very frustrating.

I think it's just stretching pains having a BT to check my HCG levels tomorrow. Loving having my DP home, told him he's not allowed to go on holiday without me again ESP when pregnant Grin
Was very sick this morning - the smell of cereal makes me want to vomit. Other than that not as bad as yesterday.

Felicific · 05/05/2011 16:37

Thanks you all. It's amazing just how fast it grows!

Glad you're getting bloods Darcies that'll make you feel much better. Are your cramps on one side? I was getting a stitch type pain on my left side but that's where bean is so probably just it growing away.

Livin there seems to be lots of us all due the same week - can't wait to see who'll be one the same day. I can just imagine the labour horror story recounts now :) Just kidding, sure it'll be a sublime and angelic experience for all, full of soft lighting, heavenly scents and warrior princesses strength.

Blue I agree ring the hospital if you can, when I went in then said it would be on the system as it were just not sent out yet but may be diff.

Think I can feel my uterus...might be the most random thing i've written in w while :)

antheasa · 05/05/2011 16:51

Hi Ladies, glad to hear everyones doing well.
Felicific also got a stitch like pain now and again under my right rib very random.
Back ache is killing me as well and to top it all off the morning sickness started yesterday.
No one tells you how terrible you can feel these first few week, on top of the worry that everything is fine. My poor DH I was in tears last night hope I feel better soon and bloom in the second trimester as they say. But right now feel pretty awful

Felicific · 05/05/2011 17:00

antheasa hope you feel better soon :( I find I'm up and down with sickness and hormones so hope you're much much better tomorrow. Hope you can rest today a little bit.

antheasa · 05/05/2011 17:14

Thanks so much Felicific
hormones dont help either I suppose and all I want to do is go to gym promised myself I would carry on gyming right through but the thought of it is really not appealing and feeling way to terrible to climb on a treadmill.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 05/05/2011 17:16

Felicific it's my right side mainly. And I have really bad back ache too, which is a period sign for me. Hoping it is stretching pains and too much excitement from DP coming home yesterday.

Hope everyone's sickness and hormones settles downs soon ready for 2nd trimester :)

BlueCrane · 05/05/2011 17:19

I have SO many friends who've had babies in the last few years and NONE of them have successfully communicated how wretched the first trimester is, the tiredness, the worry and anxiety, the pain, sickness etc etc I just don't understand how I got to this point without having a better idea of what to expect!?!? I do wonder whether the fact that most people don't say much to anyone during the first 12 weeks means that they just suffer through and then end up feeling so much better in the 2nd trimester that they forget about the first?! or whether you hear the storeis but it doesn't actually sink in until you actually experience it! Has anyone else wondered this?

I rang the hospital yesterday and they said I was on the system and letter coming out soon...hope it is actually soon!! If not heard by Monday then i will ring again...more waiting...Hmm

Bad wind today and trying not to let any out whilst in the office as tendancy for noise and odour but now I have stomach ache from holding it in Blush (sorry TMI)

Dutchie77 · 05/05/2011 17:37

CandyS I haven't got morning sickness too (thank God). I am nauseous in waves throughout the day and being hungry at the same time (weird feeling), but for example today wasn't that bad. Tho I am very very tired.

It's hard when you don't know what to feel isn't it? My due date is 21/12

antheasa · 05/05/2011 19:11

BlueCrane totally agree with you, nobody does tell u. Anyway popped a panado for the headache and backache and will deal with the nausea anybody elses hips really sore. More like on the inside of your hips?

Bexworth28 · 05/05/2011 19:21

Felicific that really made me laugh - I hope I get some of that "warrior princess strength" think I'll be more like Princess Peach!

Got a letter for my first scan today, so excited!!! It's for during my 12th week so I can start telling people and have a piccy to show at the same time.

Been eating like a pig today, just so hungry all the time! I'm sorry so many of you are having such a tough time of it - it must get better later on or why would people go through it more than once?!?

mopsytop · 05/05/2011 19:22

hi everyone! Felicific that's great news re: scan, really relieved for you.
Sickness not nearly so bad today but unfortunately bad headache came back this afternoon :( Don't know what to do to get rid of it. Stayed at work all day again but it's been hard :(

OP posts:
DarciesmumandBump2 · 05/05/2011 19:29

Mopsy you are drinking enough do keep hydrated thru the day? Sorry to hear your headache has come back :(

zambooloo · 05/05/2011 19:46

Hi all, I got my booking appointment and scan through today, got booking on 20th May and scan on 9th June (2 days after my 30th b'day - so it better be good news!)

Do you know if at the booking appointment you can hear a heartbeat? That would set my mind at rest.

I have been so forgetful today - I realised at lunchtime that I'd put my top on back to front!! Also I got letter to go home with children confused with numeracy problem sheet, I put the maths problems in the book bags and tried to teach them from a letter (so that lesson went well)! Someone actually said 'you're not pregnant are you?' I had to deny it but never been a very good liar!

CandyS - I haven't got MS either - we should be grateful! But I know what you mean!

BlueCrane · 05/05/2011 20:01

oooh looks as though everyone's getting their appointment letters...want mine too!!

Am a bit worried as I have so much more energy tonight than I've had for the last few nights...very odd! I've had other symptoms come and go but the energy one's a bit weird. But it's nice to have some energy even if it's only for an evening!!

zambooloo · 05/05/2011 20:06

Bluecrane I felt terrible yesterday evening, felt really sick, totally exhusted etc. but tonight I'm fine (just the usual sore boobs and slight flatulance! Blush

BlueCrane · 05/05/2011 20:09

ooh zam that makes me feel a bit better...I remember you going to bed v early last night as well. How strange, maybe the little bean has growth spurts so we feel worse some days than others?

zambooloo · 05/05/2011 20:14

Maybe, now I have my scan etc. dates through I'm super worried something is going to be wrong. I wanted the scan before my birthday so I could really celebrate (hopefully). My OH keeps saying he's 100% sure everything will be fine but I have this nagging doubt that there won't be a heartbeat or something terrible, can't help it! Sad
