Morning all, wiwa I'm definitely waiting until I've had 12 week scan to tell everyone at school. Hoping I don't start being sick as may be quite difficult to conceal! All the children will be telling their mums that their teacher keeps being sick - then the playground gossip will be on overdrive!!
What symptoms have you had so far? I slept for 12 hours last night and now have aches and pains all around my middle area! Really want some croissants but we have none, trying to persuade OH to visit tesco for me!
Congratulations Laura - my 1st too, quite a daunting prospect isn't it but still feels very unreal! xx

Wiwa · 22/04/2011 10:52

Congratulations to lauraloo! I had an appt with my doctor last week and it was pretty short. She just told me what to eat and what not to eat and to take some folic acid. I'm gonna wait until 12 weeks to tell work as well- also hoping that I won't be spewing which will totally give the game away! Symptoms have been the same now for a couple of weeks but growing in intensity. The main thing is my boobs which are extremely painful, but I actually find that auntie reassuring weirdly! Have also had a little bit of cramping which I guess is everything stretching. I am jealous of your lovely long sleep zamboolo! I keep waking up early and can't get back to sleep! Also have been going to the loo all The. Time!

Loss of appetite combined with replacing crap with fruit means have lost 3lbs this week yay. Been hovering into overweight bmi and didnt like it and especially didnt want midwife to tell me off. Am eating more today so prob wont last and Not that it will matter soon when I blimp up like a balloon and can't tie my own shoes.

TeacupTempest · 22/04/2011 18:18

Well yesterday I spent 5 hours in A&E!

The pains had become worse during the night and had woken me up several times. Really sharp, flashing and radiating pain. We are away from home and about to set sail for a while so I was having nightmares about having to call the coastguard out if I started to loose it. So I called the NHS and they told me to go to the emergency department.

I had a load of test done (feel like a pin cushion) and because I have a history of kidney stones and they thought that might be it, along with the worry of an ectopic, they sent me for a scan.

I saw the little bean......and a heart beat! So very very small and delicate.

All test came back negative. Such a relief but also mystified as to why my body is randomly inflicting pain upon itself. Its not like I have a low pain thresh hold so I know I am not just being pathetic.

Any way today I had much less pain. In-laws came to visit and I so wanted to tell them but going to hold off another couple of weeks.

Haven't caught up on all the post yet but I hope everyone is enjoying the Easter weekend so far :)

figgygal · 22/04/2011 18:28

Aw teacup that sounds really scary glad everything came out ok with the tests and that u can enjoy your trip

DarciesmumandBump2 · 22/04/2011 18:33

Teacup glad everything is alright. Scary stuff tho.

We've had a good day took DD to Arundal Wetlands Centre then to Fishbourne Roman Palace went to both set of parents and told them the news and both happy :)

hannahh2005 · 22/04/2011 20:31

i'm due last week of nov but expect it to be later as not only are my family notoriously late for everything but had a scan at 7 wks and they put down it was 6 wks - been trying for 2 1/2 yrs for sprog and had just started fertility testing when fell! v happy but v ill - nausea all the time, constipation - i thought i was going to die, heartburn when i eat, dihorea (cant spell it) and bad cramping in lower tummy, exhausted all the time - be careful what you wish for is now coming to mind
anyone else having a bad time of it?
hannah:)

DarciesmumandBump2 · 23/04/2011 06:20

Welcome Hannah thankfully I'm not suffering as bad as you. Hopefully come the second trimester you'll feel a whole lot better :)

Georgie83 · 23/04/2011 06:51

Hi ladies! Me and my hubby have been trying since Christmas and I'm finally pregnant! We were in San Francisco on the 1st day of a 2 week road trip holiday when we took the test. Arrived back in the UK yesterday and 'cos of the bank holiday my GP's not open 'til Tuesday.... I'm so excited! Guessing I'm due mid-December. The almost constant retching and aching breasts are a bit tiresome but it's a small price to pay right? Any tips on relieving the nausea?!?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 23/04/2011 07:01

Congrats Georgie dry crackers, water and Ginger nut biscuits should help your nausea :)

LauraLoo34 · 23/04/2011 09:11

Ladies - i am exactly the same! I just did test number 4 this morning and have photos of every one in my phone! So if you girls are sad, I'm right there with you!

I went for a 30min gentle jog yesterday taking it much easier than I would normally. And then about a 2 hour stroll around Park (as I got lost!). But last night, I felt great, albeit v tired. All my sickie symptoms have gone which makes me think...omg, did i do too much?!

Test this morning has made me relax a little bit. Although i doubt it will be the last i do until 12 week scan! Looking forward to the docs on Tues as a fi

LauraLoo34 · 23/04/2011 09:15

Congrats Georgie and Hannah.

Teacup, so relieved for you that everything was alright.

strawberryletter · 23/04/2011 09:45

Hi and congrats everybody.

Sorry to jump in. I got my BFP yesterday after noticing really strange, sore, hard breasts the day my AF was due. Mumsnet says I'm due on New Year's Eve.

This morning my breasts feel fine ... should I be worried or is it normal for pregnancy symptoms to come and go?

xx

figgygal · 23/04/2011 10:22

Ah our little group has grown again welcome newbies and congrats. Symptoms def come and go I haven't had any for days apart from sore boobs though still haven't been sick woop woop. Hormones r in overdrive today been snapping at husband all morning and just threw a crying strop on our bed about how I'm gonna lose all my friends and be lonely and we r gonna grow to hate each other what an idiot.
Have a good look thrOugh the forums everyone is really helpful at answering questions and it's informative. There's a lot of scare stories out there too but trying to be levelheaded about them.

BlueCrane · 23/04/2011 10:52

Welcome all and congrats!! think we're allowed some Easter smiles this weekend so [bugrin] [busmile]

My boobs are soooo large and sore...and I now have a stuffy nose and nosebleeds too [busad] but no sickness yet so v thankful for that! Went swimming yesterday morning which was really nice but I was then v tired for the rest of the day so wondered if I'd overdone it - bit of a pain as I had loads I wanted to get done! Think I just need to start rethinking my to-do lists taking into account little 'blueberry' inside of me!! reached 7 weeks yesterday too which was great!! [bugrin]

DarciesmumandBump2 · 24/04/2011 08:07

Welcome Newbies

Told my nan yesterday she was thrilled and said she'd noticed my swollen tummy :)

Off to the Easter service at church today. DD is looking forward to it. Then off to the in-laws for dinner.

Hope everyone else has a good day

TeacupTempest · 24/04/2011 08:47

Um anyone had any blood? Just has a little bit of bright red yesterday and DH trying to convince me its normal....

DarciesmumandBump2 · 24/04/2011 08:55

Teacup Are you getting any pains with it? Just keep an eye on the blood flow and if its worrying you call the mw.
Hope your okay?

TeacupTempest · 24/04/2011 08:57

No not pain as such....just feels a little delicate down there. The pains I went to A&E for have pretty much gone.....

DarciesmumandBump2 · 24/04/2011 09:00

Just monitor them Teacup and hopefully it'll all go away and everything will be fine.

goodegg · 24/04/2011 10:23

Hannah and figgy I'm having rubbish symptoms too, I feel like the worst version of myself atm Sad

Was meant to have lunch with DH at a Japanese restaurant yesterday and we were going to meet up in town and go there together. He got bored of waiting for me and went straight there, he tried to direct me on the phone and I couldn't stop crying that I was lost! Eventually found it, went and cried in the loo for another 5 mins, came out and had a go at DH for not meeting me and ended up leaving in tears on my own Blush I literally couldn't stop crying all afternoon. It's like teenage hormones all over again!

Am also bloated (prob due to eating for 2 already) and constipated, and just generally feeling fat and grey.

Looking forward to the glowing stage!

adalle · 24/04/2011 10:40

teacup take it easy and get checked when you get ashore I have had bleeding now for 4 days but A&E couldn't do a scan until tuesday I was told if the bleeding gets heavier than a period and the pain unbearable eg paracetomol won't help then go back and they will book me in. By Tuesday if this continues I will have been bleeding gently for 6 days by the time I get my scan. My pains are light and intermittent I've had much worse when not pg. Don't do any lifting, no sex (as if) and take it easy I have been advised.

goodegg tell me about it. My DH seems oblivious to my condition at times. He is lucky I do a lot of my crying when he is out. And constipation gawd I thought I was having a baby or laying an ostrich egg at times!! [bugrin] not that I know what either feels like.

BlueCrane · 24/04/2011 14:28

goodegg hope you feel better soon - the hormones do drive us slightly crazy!!

adalle the wait til Tues must be hideous but hope you're ok.

Right...off to see if my roast dinner is cooked!!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 24/04/2011 18:14

GoodEgg hope you feel better soon.

For those who are having bleeding and pain hope it settles down soon.

I feel completely wiped out today and quite nauseous after dinner. :(

LauraLoo34 · 24/04/2011 19:35

teacup adalle I hope you both get some much deserved reassurance and peace of mind soon.

goodegg it's a rollercoaster! One of the first symptoms for me was irrationally blaming my OH for anything and everything for 48 hours! Not like me! I am pleased to say it passed - for now at least!

Darciesmum I know what you mean about being wiped out. Have needed a nap at 6pmish everyday this weekend, literally can't keep my eyes open! Thank god for the long weekend, don't know how I'll handle working a long working day and a 1hr commute next week!!! Will definitely be snoozing on the tube! (embarrassing!).
