Hi klou. So hard for your brother - and he sounds like a good man to want to continue to support his partner at what must be an awful awful time for them both. But like you say at least this means they've got a bit of time to work things through properly. So difficult to know what to do other than be there for him. Hugs to you, darling.

I HAVE to find out klou. I have no patience so have to know now lol. DP just goes with whatever I want lol. He does want to know tho. He said he would love a little girl when I told him. Don't know if it makes a difference but I've had 3 dreams I have a little girl. But I have also had a dream I'm pg with twins a girl and a boy.
DP has just brought me some malteasers and fingers biscuits. Love him so much.

klou i dont know what to say regarding your brother, the situation was hard enough to go through, he must be feeling really confused about the whole situation.

iwish your dp sounds lovely, i cant even get my dh to stay in the house for one night, he is always off doing his cars, although he has given up bangers as he thinks they are too much work now, but he has gone and got a stock car. NOW he wants to go and buy some fancy horsebox type thing to go racing in. much better for when we have a baby to consider, but honestly he changes his mind more times than his underwear. i just wish he would decide what he wants to do and stick to it

gruffalo do you think you look big? i was told today by a friend of my mums that she thought i looked 'really big!' if i could pin down dh i would get him to take a pic of me and put it on my profile so you could all see and tell me what you think.

i have put on about 7 pounds in total so far

Ha Liz he's not always so nice. Although he did wash up for me tonight because just the thought of the washing up liquid made me heave. My DP has decided he wants to buy a car and save up for a new kitchen - I think not lol! X

i have been feeling really thirsty today and yesterday, not sure if its something i should be concerned about

Pleased to announce that very shortly after wedgying myself, the knickers were un-wedgied! :o

Iwish, a GTT is a Glucose Tolerance Test to see if you have gestational diabetes, I can't remember why I had to have one, not everyone does. But basically you go to the hospital and have some blood taken, then have 5 minutes to drink a load of Lucozade, then you have sit around for 2 hours, you're not allowed to eat, drink, chew gum or move excessivly e.g, walk around. You can pee though. Then after the 2 hours is up, you go back and have some more blood taken. Then go home. I have tried online gender predictors, they all said boy, and im having a girl!

Klou I am happy and quite sad for you and your brother, I really hope he decides to do the right thing by her and himself.

Maybe you should mention it to your midwife just in case Liz. Has it just come on today?

This is a bit TMI and a bit but since pg my pumps have been really stinky. Is that normal??

you have to have a GTT if your bmi is over "% or something like that.

iwish it came on yesterday, i will see what its like over the next few days. i have drank nearly a litre of tropicana still lemonade, its delish!

andi have no idea about your stinky feet never heard of that before but doesnt mean to say its not down to your pg tho, it may well be.

oh, and thought i would add that i wnet to dd's parents evening last night and mentioned to her teacher that i was pg, she is the first to ask if it was planned!

melly did you try the putting a ring on a necklace and putting it over your belly to see if it went side to side or in circles? We did it to my friend and it went round in circles saying girl and she had a girl. I tried it and it did the same. It's probably a boy tho lol.

Forgot to mention, the Lucozade gave the baby a bit of a high, not long after sitting down after having the horrible stuff she was absolutely full of beans!! Been practically jumping around in my belly all day!!

i am off to bed now ladies, i am shattered. just been sat listening to my doppler, just for 5 mins, its so reassuring to hear it as i am still not feeling much at all. even when i sit still in the evenings.

Morning Ladies,

Have had to change my scan to 1/4/11 as DH couldn't make the other date. Wish it was sooner rather than later but they couldn't get me in.

Tag is getting darker and solid now (it was just soft skin before)I've tied another cotton round it this morning tighter. It definitely didn't hurt as much tying it this time.

Oh thats a pity madkatz, it must feel like forever all that waiting! And is that good about the tag? If it is then im glad it's doing something good not sure if that made sense.

Has anyone elses boobs started leaking yet? Mine have been doing it for a while now, first time it happened both of them did it, and ever since then, the left one has done bugger all, it only seems to be the right one that leaks now

Oh and talking about boobs :o Poor DP got a shock last night - twice! although the second time I entirely blame him for!! First off, we were in bed just having a cuddle, I was lying on his chest and he had his arm around me, then all of a sudden we became aware of this wetness around his belly/my boob, so we had a look, my boob had leaked all over him :o he was so grossed out. Second time was much later when he woke up and decided to start fondling me, and yes, you've guessed it. Leaked all into his hand :o serves him right for trying that when im asleep :o

melly that is sooo funny!!! why are men so freaked out about it he should have learnt his lesson first time!

my boobs dont really do much of anything. even after i had dd, they only leaked abit and not for very long, so sorry i cant be of any help in that area.

Re taking photos Liz, take a photo every week. I've been taking the same position photo every week since 15 weeks, nothing changed, but it'll be nice to look back on once it does :) And I am always bloody thirsty!!

Not a lot to report this end. DH been tiling the kitchen floor for the last couple of days. Driving him up the wall as they are slate so they are difficult to get a level on cos they're all bumpy etc. He's just doing the cutting bits now, looks bloody gorgeous, love it. We had a new kitchen December 2009, so about time the floor was done lol!
He's got to tile the bathroom next, then do the conservatory flooring. Can't wait for it all to be done, I just feel so useless :(
Then it's the lounge to be plastered as we'll move into the conservatory and empty the lounge (which he is going to 'have a go at')
Then it's THE NURSERY!!!!!!!!

Feeling ok today apart from feeling a little sick and being rather stressed at work.

Eek cross post klou. I keep blaming it on the baby haha!! I'm sure you will get a bump soon. I have a little podgey belly so I won't get a bump for a while lol

I have read somewhere that you do fart more when PG but not sure about the smelliness of them though. On the (accidental) subject of feet though, my feet are constantly sweaty and its really annoying cause DP won't let me rest my feet on him anymore, he says they smell really bad :( I can't understand it, I have to wash them thoroughly everyday and it doesn't make a difference!

klou i started with the intention of taking a pic every week, but never got round to doing it, andi so wish i had done. but might start it tonight. its dh'd birthday so he might be in the house for more than 5 mins!

also re the stinky trumps, are you eating differently? i find if i eat more crap then they stink worse than if i eat well, might be the change in your diet?

Happy birthday Liz's DH :) I just take one myself, just hold my arm as far as it'll reach and click :) eventually I get there. It's easier if you have a digi one with a screen and put a mirror behind so you can see what you are taking a picture of lol!!

I have stinky feet, and Iwash has stinky farts, I'd hate to be in the same room as us two :o
