ha ha ha ha ha ha! Mole foreplay Grin LMAO!!

I want sodding maternity clothes, no fair!!! I thought I was getting a slight bump the other day when I got up. Usually when I go to bed I'm a bit bloated, then when I get up, my belly's gone flat again, yet the other morning when lying down there was a slight hard bump, then went flatter the nearer I got to my ribs. But it's gone again :(

Was looking at that mummy in training tee and saw a 3 pack of similar ones, and would so like to buy them.
I do have a question though. When you order maternity clothes, do you order what your regular size is? I haven't got a clue Blush

PS baby moving as I write this Grin not felt him/her for ages!!!

melly well they were comfy, gave me abit of breathing space. but now they just do my head in falling down all the time. must be my belly pushing them down.

klou how many weeks are you? sorry i cant be arsed to look backBlush

lizandlulu · 07/03/2011 17:21

klou sorry forgot to say, i have been buying maternity stuff in my usual size. well bottoms are usually in my normal size, but i have not bought any proper maternity tops only bigger sized normal ones.
which is why i am wondering if these i have bought off vertbaudet will be big enough. they are 18-20 but i dont like anything tight across my belly, pregnant or not, at the moment i just look fat.

KLou111 · 07/03/2011 17:23

Hi all. I've been buying in my normal size, but just got some stuff from Vertbaudet - some was spot on but some was a bit small. Okay for now but probably wouldn't last me.

I have elasticated side jeans and both pairs constantly fall down. V annoying. Think I'm going to get a pair of over the bump ones.

Scan today went well - all the right bits in all the right places. Hugely relieved. This baby has been pretty quiet compared to DS so have been fretting. Can start knitting now! We decided not to find out the sex but DH is convinced it's a girl (because it's smaller than DS was at this stage).

Klou about your brother - what a nightmare... Big hug! I'd be inclined to really try to get him to work out when he did the deed and then get a proper dating scan. At least then he can be more sure - better to find out now (even if that means heartache) than later. Agree with you that the dates seem a bit unlikely. And I also agree that if the only reason they're together is because of the baby that doesn't sound brilliant (for anyone) but... even if they do end up together with baby over here I wouldn't worry too much. Grandparents have an awful lot of love in their hearts and I'm sure your bean will be as much loved, coo-ed and doted over as it would have been even if there had been more of a gap. And your mum is always going to be closer to you after a birth than a potential daughter-in-law. My mum and I always got along but having my DS brought us a lot closer - we have more in common now - which sounds weird but really feels true.

GruffaloMama · 07/03/2011 17:58

ps I saw the 'hands off the bump' t-shirt today. Totally going to get one. I hate strangers fondling me.

KLou111 · 07/03/2011 19:01

So glad your scan went well Gruffalo and thanks for the response re brother.

I have already become a lot closer to my mum, although we were anyway :) We're going back to the Mids again on the 24th, as my Dad retires and it's 65th next Friday (18th), but my brother's are travelling with work until the following week, so can't all get together til then. My brother better not break the news about the baby to them then, I want to be nowhere near when he does, and it's my Dad's moment too so it would be a bit unfair to potentially piss him off!!

Will be 20 weeks by then, really looking forward to seeing them both.
Got my scan 2 weeks tomorrow Grin can't bloody wait!!!

lizandlulu · 07/03/2011 19:23

klou i remember now, there is only 10 days between us isnt there.

gruffalo i am so glad the scan was all ok, did you get any pics?

i am glad you have said that some of the vertbaudet stuff is on the small side cause this skirt i ordered is a 20 and i was abit worried it might be too big. the next 20 maternity stuff is huge on me

Melly19MummyToBe · 07/03/2011 19:49

I buy maternity clothes in my normal size, but in New Look I have to go to an 18 because the 16s are a bit too tight. And I don't buy jeans from New Look anymore since the thigh always wear out within a couple of months.

lizandlulu · 07/03/2011 20:16

everything in the new look maternity is too small for me, even though i was a 18 pre pregnancy, so i suppose if you can always try stuff on.

the jeans i have been living in were from peacocks. i never usually shop in there but just got them cause i was desperate and they were cheap. turns out they have been really good while they fit.

at the moment i am wearing some black casual trousers from asda. like jogging bottom material, but just straight leg, not got a bottom to the hem or anything like that, and a huge panel of material which you could turn up, but i am waering it turned down cuase if i turn it up at the moment it would come up to my neck! they were only a tenner and are dead comfy, but no pocketsSad

lizandlulu · 07/03/2011 20:39

just seen you are after the tens machine on for sale madkatz i was going to buy one too and had one on watch this item on ebay whan my dad said, if you want one of these i have got one at home....vry handy! he bought one to helo with back pain, but never got round to using it, dont think he liked the idea of it! his loss is my gainGrin just got to get mum to find it out before d-day

MadKatz · 08/03/2011 08:50

ooh well done Liz I am still looking for one.

So I got DH to tie off that mole last night. I really didn't think there was any nerves in it but OUCH!!! It bloody hurt tying it tight. But we managed it, just waiting now.

lizandlulu · 08/03/2011 09:20

it probably just pulled the skin around it maybe?

MadKatz · 08/03/2011 10:23

It was ok until we started pulling the cotton tight. I guess it was just where it cuts off the nerves and any blood supply

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/03/2011 14:48

Oh my gosh i'm so broody now. Can't remember if I mentioned this before but I do a Young Expectant Parents course every tuesday, and one of the girls on the course had her baby on wednesday and she brought her in today, she was so small and cute and dinky, I just want Poppy here right NOW!! I'm just so impatient now it's not fair :(

On the upside, PANCAKES FOR TEA :o

Glad your scan went well gruffalo, the next time we get to see our babies will be when we're holding them in our arms :) (unless we have to have any more scans of course)

OP posts:
Iwish · 08/03/2011 18:44

Liz I'm so glad you like your Doppler. Was it expensive?

klou I was absolutely wetting myself reading that! What does ROFL mean? Yeh I'm ok, bit tired but sickness has calmed down a lot. Although washing up liquid just makes makes me want to hurl all the time, yuk.

madkatz how are you getting on with your skin tag? I've got one under my armpit, I've had it forever but it does my head in being there - scared I'm going to nic It with the razor.

KLou111 · 08/03/2011 18:53

£25 for Angel Sounds doppler Iwish off ebay (new) english*shop, so worth it!! I should be getting commission lol!

An excuse not to do the washing up for you :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 08/03/2011 19:13

I think I might get one klou. I think it'll put my mind at rest hearing the little ones HB. Although you can't hear it till 12 weeks it says so I'll wait till then so I don't worry myself before.

Aaarrrggghhh go faster time!! I want to see my baby on screen!!

Yeh I try and get out of it but DPs useless at washing up so I just cram mints into my mouth and I'm ok.

KLou111 · 08/03/2011 19:16

When's your first scan Iwish? Believe me, time will FLY! Can't believe will be halfway in just over 2 weeks!! Shock and next scan 2 weeks today yippee!
