Woohoo must be my little one!!
Thanks klou can't wait to know the flavour. I just wouldn't have been able to wait for another few months. I can't believe you didn't find out at your 3d/4d scan. You have some will power!

Liz I was looking at bump bands on the Internet. Are they any good?

Wow gruffalo 30+3! and as Liz says don't panic, relax! Give your DH a good ol kick in the bum!

Mmm DP just brought me some bubblegum ice-cream. Yum! He's in the good books for now :)

lizandlulu · 17/05/2011 19:25

iwish bubblegum ice cream???? is that a craving or what??? i cant imagine it!

klou i am abit of a list-maniac too, i find i forget everything if i dont, plus i like to see what has to be done and what has been done.

i have got a man here now doing the gloss on the baby room, it looked yellow even though its only a year old, but i think it was magnolia gloss to start with.

iwish i have never had one of the bump bands cause i had to move into proper maternity stuff, or elasticated waisted stuff, but they are ment to be good. holds up your normal clothes while still giving you breathing space.

Iwish · 17/05/2011 19:55

No I heard the ice-cream van and sent DP. It's just one that's in a tub not a mr whippy one. I think my obsession is milk at the moment. We have gone through 2 very big milks since sunday. Shock.
I might have to try some of the bump bands as I don't think I'm quite ready for mat clothes yet.
We glossed last year and it went yellow! Think it was b&qs own
One so redid it this year with a different make.

Melly19MummyToBe · 17/05/2011 20:06

Everyone thinks I'm going to be early, I went to baby cafe (breastfeeding cafe) with my sister last tuesday, and went again today and everyone was like "Oh my god you've dropped so much!" And these are people who I only met last tuesday aswell :o Although I have a horrible feeling she may have turned around, the wrong way :( Was just sat on the settee yesterday and my belly went really tight, painfully tight, felt like Poppy was trying to do a starfish or something, proper spreading out. Anyway, this morning I felt this really hard lump under my boob which felt more like a head than a bum. Anyway, now I think about that tight feeling, it felt a lot like someone moving around in a really tight space, think a really obese person turning around in a single sleeping bag. Seeing the midwife on friday so will have to tell her.

Sounds like a nightmare at your house Gruffalo! I really hope you manage to get it all sorted before baby arrives!

Simon is a bit dippy bless him, my sisters booked her wedding, 30th June next year, and I said "Oooooh Poppy will be 1 then!" And (bear in mind my due date is 7th June) he said "Well, she might not be!" Shock:o He hasn't got a clue really. He thinks her newborn size nappies are far too small :o

Crikey this is a bloody long post!

We're about an hour away from mansfield Liz, bit too far to go really because we don't have a lot of time at weekends. And I don't really want to go too far from home if she's gonna come early like everyone reckons she will do!

Bet you can't wait to get buying stuff Iwish, I didn't buy anything till I knew the sex, have you been looking at prams and stuff then, planning on what you want to get? I loved looking at all the baby stuff on mothercare website, still do :o

lizandlulu · 17/05/2011 22:16

oh melly ihope she hasnt turned round. maybe she was just stretching? your midwife might be able to tell which way round she is by feeling her?

lulu was 3 weeks early and i didnt drop much at all. other people could see i had dropped abit, a friends mum said' you will have that baby soon' and i did, but mum couldnt see that i had dropped at all.

do you feel normal otherwise?

GruffaloMama · 18/05/2011 07:07

Hiya. Will start on the guilt trip tonight. Can't keep living like this (baby or no baby). He even suggested inviting a friend round for dinner this weekend. I haven't seen the bloody dining table for months and half the kitchen is packed away but he's thinking dinner parties... Ho hum.

BTW it turns out that I've got carpal tunnel. Finger has been really numb. And pelvis is fudged too. So generally feeling a bit low. Just wish I could do more.

KLou111 · 18/05/2011 09:15

Now I want ice cream!!!!!! Not perhaps bubble gum, but defo a choc fudge sundae from McD's!!!!! Naughty Iwish!

Hopefully Poppy was just stretching out Melly, but if she has moved, there's still time to move back isn't there?

Hope your hints work gruffalo

Well, went out for meal last night for DH mum's birthday, and were just finishing up and I went to the loo. Had a purple top on and noticed it was a drop size wet around my boob area, anyway just thought I'd spilt something. DH said when I got back (while everyone was bloody listening!) what's that?? I said oh think I've spilt my drink or something. We got home and I had it the other side too!! Got my boobs out and sure enough my milks coming through!!! Oh God!!
DH said he thought it was as he saw it both sides in the pub but I'd only seen it the one.
I know it sounds daft but I couldn't stop thinking OMG OMG this is getting really real now!! :)
Thankfully have my labour bag with me so have some pads in the car. Didn't think I'd be needing them yet!

Yeh melly ive been surfing the Internet like a mad woman lol. Just wanted to wait till we knew the sex too. Think I will buy his/her very first outfit today after the scan. Eeeek just over a hour to go!!

Iwish · 18/05/2011 09:21

Cross post klou lol. You have to go and get ice-cream now! One with hundreds and thousands on!

Lol at your wet top! I had a dream my boobs were leaking last night!

KLou111 · 18/05/2011 09:22

MadKatz · 18/05/2011 11:14

Hello Ladies Grin

Gosh, what a lot of posts to catch up on!!

Am absolutely knackered and completely drained. But we are in our new house even if it is box central at the moment.

Had my 20 week scan this mornng. It was lovely to see baby again although I have to go back because s/he wouldn't move round for the sonographer to check the kidneys and spine, no matter how much jiggling up and down I did! A relief to find out everything was fine after a stressful move and feeling extremely upset and down today after an even more stressful night last night -DH and I had a massive row and he walked out. Sad

lizandlulu · 18/05/2011 13:37

oh madkatz i am so glad everything looked ok, when have you got to go back? and i hope you sort things out with your dh. have you made up?

klou oh my god thats so embarassing! good job you had them pads with you.

come on iwish let us know!!!Smile

lizandlulu · 18/05/2011 13:40

oh gruffalo i have carpel tunnel too. its not as bad as it was, i used to wake up in the night with a numb hand for hours and it was really painful, but its not so bad now. i have been offered the op on it at my gp, but cant bring myself to have it done as they do it while you are awake, so unless it gets worse, i will live with it.

i hope yours isnt too bad

MadKatz · 18/05/2011 14:34

Hi Liz. The hospital is going to send me through an appointment for about 3 weeks time.

He came back about 11pm last night (he walked out about 8.30) and then we were up talking for ages. Finally got to bed around half midnight I guess but I couldn't sleep. We're talking but it's going to take a while to get over this.

x

lizandlulu · 18/05/2011 14:59

well if you have a few preblems to work through then they are better out than in. i bottle things up alot when it coems to my dh, little things that annoy the hell out of me but i dont want to be a nag, so i bottle it all up till i am about to blow, then have a massive row.

our main problem at the min is that he isnt helping me at all when it voesm to our dd, he doesnt do jack shit with her and it really gets me down and honestly feel like a single mother. i said a few weeks ago that i would like more help, but that didnt happen, so sunday i told him that i had asked for help and got none, so now i was TELLING him that i needed help. still, so far, nothing. so i can feel a argument coming on in the next few days.

re the scan, if it makes you feel any better, my baby didnt play ball either and i had to go back as it wouldnt move into a better place. as least you get to see it again and get more photosSmile

Melly19MummyToBe · 18/05/2011 15:01

Gosh I've been leaking since around 22 weeks :o only at night in bed though, never done it during the day or evenings.

I hope you sort it all out Madkatz, it's horrible having big rows. I'm sure you'll be back to being lovey-dovey excitable first-time parents in no time :)

I really hope she hasn't turned the wrong way, she had hiccups last night and usually when this happens I feel them down the bottom of my belly (if that makes sense?), last night they were up near my ribs. Friday better hurry up and get here!

Where are you Iwish? We want to know!!

God I'm starving. Think I'm going to go and eat some cake.

Iwish · 18/05/2011 15:47

Hi lovelies! Sorry I went strait out after the scan.

Scan went v well. Little one was posing and doing a bit of wriggling around. The sonogropher confirmed it's a little boy!! I knew it! We are over the moon so I have just been and bought little ones first outfit.

madkatz I hope you are your OH have made up, it's awful arguing.
At least you get another look at your little one in a few weeks. Do you have an idea what you are having?

melly bless her with the hiccups! Can't wait to feel that. Hope she is the right way round tho :)

Liz you will have to give your OH a right good kick in the ass! You should be relaxing a bit more and he should be helping more.

Xx

MadKatz · 18/05/2011 15:49

I think the bits that got to me most is that he walked out. He didn't go very far, just drove around, but he did admit last night if it hadn't been for the fact that his mum told hime to get home and sort it he would have booked a hotel for the night. And the other bit is that he threw my dad out of the house last night (I'm really close to him and he was helping us move and clean up the old flat ready to get our deposit back).

I've been dealing with this house move on my own while he's been at work (couldn't get time off) and he doesn't like not being in control. He's also hating his new job. So there's a lot going on in his head, i know, but I can't get past the fact that he actually left and wasn't intending to come home on his own accord - and wondering if that's how much our marriage (and baby) mean to him. Sad

MadKatz · 18/05/2011 15:50

Iwish we're not going to find out what we're having.

Iwish · 18/05/2011 16:17

Yeh I remembered you werent going to find out, just wondered if you had a feeling what it could be.
I'm sure you will sort it out, you are both under a lot of pressure and are bound to feel the strain at the moment. X

lizandlulu · 18/05/2011 17:04

a boy!! oh thats lovely iwish could you make out alot on the screen?

what sort of outfit have you bought?

madkatz is you dh impulsive? he probably walked out on a spur of the moment idea, doesnt mean he thinks less of oyu and the baby, just means he wasnt thinking at all. my dh is like that, but instead of walking out, he throws things, not at me, but he would break a plate or something like that, then be full of sorrys after.

Iwish · 18/05/2011 18:39

Yeh Liz the sonogropher pointed out different parts of his body, not his little boy bits tho lol! I've put the pic on my profile and a pic of his little outfit.
Got to go back at 32 weeks to have a scan as the placenta is low lying. Hope it moves!

KLou111 · 18/05/2011 19:05

Oh Iwish a big fat CONGRATS on your blue bundle. Ooooooo sooooooo Grin for you!! and Envy of you buying 'proper' clothes for baby instead of white, cream or yellow lol!

So so so sorry matkatz at what you are going through. Me and DH are also people that bottle things up and then have a massive row about once every 6 months and everything comes out! I really hope you can sort this out. But like Liz said, it may be all the pressure that you are going through. Moving is such a huge deal, plus you have the baby and your DH's job........
It is a shame that after your scan today that it didn't 'solve' anything, as usually I would have thought it would have brought you together.
I am sorry your Dad got a bit of the brunt aswell, is everything OK there with them?

Liz SORT YOUR SODDING FELLA OUT!! Lol! I'd start playing the pregnancy card, and you are really struggling to do things, and you're tired etc etc.

Melly lol at hiccups!!

Been feeling really peculiar today. Belly been feeling a bit crampy almost. I fell over last night chasing after the dog in the garden, and I managed to land myself on my right side, but been really worried (like you do) it's because of that. Baby been moving loads though.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 18/05/2011 19:21

klou i am bloody trying!!!

and as long as you didnt land flat on your bump i am sure it would be fine, have you mentioned it to your mum? i am sure if the baby has been moving alot then its nowt to worry about.

iwish your pic is lovely, and the outfit is so so so cute!!!

i have been trying to look at boys things, in case it is a boy and there is quite alot of nice stuff. i am always drawn to girls stuff after spending nearly 6 years buying only girls stuff, if it is a boy it will come as a shock to the system. i was in primark tho on sunday and they have some really nice boys t shirts, lovely stripy ones dead cheap.
