It was beautiful. Am trying to upload vid to youtube at the mo for my parents who are away, so I'll give you link later.

lizandlulu · 15/05/2011 21:21

wow its amazing to see it move on the screen while its still in you isnt it? what postition is it in? were you tempted to ask what it was?

KLou111 · 16/05/2011 09:08

It's lovely :)
VERY tempted, both of us sat there and said to the sono lady what do we do if we want to find out, and she said just say and she'll go down there looking!! Baby had it's legs up so not sure if we would have seen, but very tempting!! But we resisted!
Baby is 'breech' at the mo, so hoping it moves before birth, although I don't think I'll be 100% disappointed if I have to have a c-section!! The birth terrifies me! Hmm

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 16/05/2011 12:58

mine is breech too so got a gym ball to sit on at night, its ment to help the baby move into the correct position, not sure how tho, something to do with the position of the pelvis. anyway, it was only £7 from argos so worth a go.

do yo have any more scans or anything booked to see if it has moved round?

i wasnt tempted at all, right until we got into the 4d scan place. but still didnt find out. the only thing that tempts me is when i am in clothes shops and see lvoely clothes but cant buy them. yesterday we was in mamas and papas and they have some gorgeous girls stuff, but cant purchaseSad

Melly19MummyToBe · 16/05/2011 16:16

Happy Monday ladies! Can't believe I only have 1 month left of being a teenager, and not even an irresponsible one at that Hmm It's my grandmas birthday today, mine in exactly a month, and my dads exactly a month after mine :o How freaky is that?

Lincoln isn't the closest hospital to me Liz but it is the better one of the 2. I'm not going to count Gainsborough as it doesn't have a maternity unit. Scunthorpe hospital is just HORRIBLE! So Lincoln it is! I would like a waterbirth ideally but you never know whats going to happen! Are you going there aswell then?

I can only see the first 7 seconds of your video Klou, I have to use my phone for internet so youtube doesn't always work. Will try again later though. Pics are so cute though!! I love the smiling one :)

Iwish · 16/05/2011 17:44

Hi ladies!! I'm back!! Not been on for ages!

klou your video of your little one is fab! can't wait to have one myself! I don't know how you managed not to find out! You have sone willpower!!

Liz do you just bounce up and down on the ball? And I bet it was so hard to resist buying the lovely clothes!

melly lol at irresponsible!! I'm 25 and pretty irresponsible at times! Is poppy due before or after your birthday?

madkatz take it easy and hope the move goes well!

Got my 20 week scan on Wednesday!!!! I can't wait!! Wish it was Wednesday now!!

What did your first kicks feel like and when did it happen? I keep feeling something and I'm not sure if it's bubba or gas lol Blush

lizandlulu · 16/05/2011 19:04

melly yes i am going to lincoln too. most of the women round here go to nottingham as it is a bigger hospital, but i had lulu there and it was fine. i would like a water birth too and my midwife said that half the amount of women go to lincoln, double go to nottingham and they both have one pool so i have got more chance of it being free anyway.

iwish yes that probably is your baby!!Smile most ladies feel their first kicks 18-20 weeks so there you goSmile it does feel abit like you have got a bubbly belly, like if you have eaten something offGrin

Iwish · 16/05/2011 19:14

It kind of feels like when you flick your finger under water. I felt it about 2 weeks ago first and seem to feel it every other day maybe. Oooh if it Is my little one I can't wait till it gets harder and DP can feel it!
How many weeks are you now Liz?

Melly19MummyToBe · 16/05/2011 19:30

Hey Iwish long time no see! Good luck for your scan on wednesday! Are you going to find out the sex? Poppy is due on 7th June, (3 weeks tomorrow Shock) and my birthday is 16th June, so quite possible she could be born on my actual birthday! I hope she comes on 19th though, I know it's really late but it would be the best ever fathers day present wouldn't it!?! When I first felt her moving I thought I had a dodgy stomach :o it felt all bubbly and weird. I was 20+3 weeks when I first felt her jiffling around.

I had a strange dream this morning, I dreamt we were looking round the hospital next sunday and I went into labour, I thought I couldn't possibly be, because my bag and notes and the carseat were still at home :o I tell you, my dreams are fudged up now I'm pregnant. Confused

Iwish · 16/05/2011 19:45

Yeh we will defo find out the sex if little one cooperates lol.
Aww yeh it would be a lovely fathers day prezzie wouldn't it! Our little one is between our birthdays. DPs is on 28th Sept and mine on 21st October and bubba is due 3rd October!
That is a strange dream, get your bag packed and in the car just in case hehe. Have you got everything now? :)

Melly19MummyToBe · 16/05/2011 20:07

Well I thought we had everything, but just discovered we hardly have any sleepsuits, literally about 3. So need to do some shopping when we go to the hospital at the weekend. And I need nursing bras and tops. Also can't decide what I'm going to wear coming home. Think I'm just gonna buy a cheap comfy pair of trackie bottoms and a baggy top lol!

Have you started buying things yet then or are you waiting?

Iwish · 16/05/2011 20:27

All we have bought is a blanket lol!! Will be going strait out after the scan tho to buy baby's first outfit. DPs mum has knitted 2 cardigans and a hat. They are so sweet.

Trackie bottoms and a baggy top sounds like a plan lol. At least you will be comfy. The last thing you will fancy is putting a pair of jeans and fitted top. I'll be doing the same as you!
Asda have some georgeous little sleepsuits, I had a nosey on Saturday.
At least theres not too much left to get. Bet you are getting excited now. :)

lizandlulu · 16/05/2011 21:22

melly are you far from mansfield? there is a place called labels for less in sutton in ashfeild (might have mentioned it before) but they have loads of sleepsuits, mothercare and humphrys corner, all dead cheap. worth going if its not too far for you.

ooohhh iwish will you be sharing with us what it is if they can tell? i bet your preganncy will fly after the 20 week mark, mine certainly has. i seem to have gone from just feeling fatter than usual, to feeling about ready to pop!

on a very good note i have told my dad i am leaving work next friday. he knew it would be around now so he was expecting it and it works well as lulu breaks up from school for a week that friday, so we can spend the week together.

on not such a good note, ages ago chris said he was going on a stag WEEKEND to portugal with a load of racing mates. not a problems i said, you go have fun. turns out its next THURSDAY till MONDAY!!!!! thats more like a bloody week!! i am abit pissed off about it. if it was me he would have the hump for weeks!

i am hoping to go to new york again NEXT november and going to make it for about 5 days, but just need to find someone to look after my kids! (odd saysing kids when one of them is still in me!)

also bit of advice needed, has anyone else had any mottled colouring on their legs? i have got a patch on my thigh about 8 inches square and its got about 5 purple patches in it, looks like bruises but they are not so not sure what it is? may be something to do with circulation do you think? the rest of me is fine though. (to make matters worse, i tried to fake tan myself after a bloke at work said i was like a milk bottle, used some good stuff and still ended up all streaky and abit orange over the purple bits. not nice!

well done if you have read all thatGrin

Iwish · 17/05/2011 08:09

Lol Liz that was a long post!
I will definitly let you know what flavour bubba is. I'm so excited!
The time between my last scan and this one has gone quite fast so bet it will speed up a bit more. I can't wait to get a proper bump, just feel in the fat stage now!

I have heard that you can get strange marks/blotches appearing in pregnancy, not sure what they would look like.
Grin at your fake tanning!

Omg that is def more than a weekend! I would be a bit pissed off if I was you too!

Oh heck my work pants are too tight! They are ok if I'm stood up but when I sit down they dig in my belly. Will have to sit at work and undo them but make sure I fasten them before I stand up lol Blush

lizandlulu · 17/05/2011 09:57

might be worth getting a bump band if you arent ready to move into full blown maternity gear? adsa do them ,packs of 2 i think for about £8, new look do too.

KLou111 · 17/05/2011 11:20

Hi all :)
Oooo not long now then Melly bet you are uber excited now!! I got some more sleepsuits the other day in George Asda. Just got white as obviously don't know what we're having and they were £4 for 3 I think. I've got 6 newborn and 6 0-3 now and the same for the vests (£2.25 for 3).
I'll get some nicer things when bubba is here.

Iwish I bet you can't wait for your scan, very Envy of you finding out the sex! Yes, I believe that was your baby moving too.
I felt it for the first time at 14 weeks, it was like bubbles watching OBEM!!
I phoned my mum and she said defo sounded like baby. Was feeling stronger, more gassey feelings since 20 weeks which was baby more stronger, then been feeling proper kicks since around 23.
I've bought some trousers the next size up as didn't want any maternity stuff at the mo as I still don't feel hugely big.

liz I bet you are pissed, I would be too especially now as I am shit scared I am going to go into labour early!!
Ditto with mottled bits on legs. DH commented on them the other day but he's got 'an app' and he said 'You're going to get them you know' made me lol that he was telling me :)

Saw friends last night who are due 5 days after us, and she is huge compared to me!!! She's got a proper round bump, I just looked tiny compared to her bump, and she thanked me for saying she was big as everyone has been saying how small she was looking, well what does that make me lol! Nice to see them and catch up though.

lizandlulu · 17/05/2011 11:29

i girl has just been in work and said i looked good for how far i was Hmm think she needs to go to specsaversGrin or she was just being nice! i will see if i can get chris to take a pic of me and out it on later.

are you going to the baby show klou?

KLou111 · 17/05/2011 11:50

No, I wasn't going to go. Looking to try and get home Monday, and got so much to do before hand that we just keep putting off lol!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 17/05/2011 12:31

well i wanted to go but chris is racing, so unless i take myself i aint goingSad dont fancy trying to keep tabs on lulu in a great crowd of people

GruffaloMama · 17/05/2011 13:04

Hi all. Sorry have been living without proper broadband. Have caught up I think. Liz and Klou you photos of 3D scans are amazing - really lovely. melly only 3 weeks and a bit now!!! V exciting. Iwish I reckon that very much sounds like baby. It's the best feeling isn't it? madkatz i guess you're right in the middle of the move. hope it all went smoothly!

I'm 30+3 now and getting panicked about everything as I've not really got anything organised. Our house is still a complete tip. DH needs to finish painting the kitchen. It's nearly done but he's lost enthusiasm. i'd do it but it would mean scrambling up a ladder and I'm so big now I'm not sure it's a great idea. The bathroom needs the blind putting up and laminate flooring putting down and the spare room (soon to be for DS) has just got the carpet put in but needs painting, furniture putting together etc etc etc. We haven't even got anything out of the loft for the baby (as there's nowhere to put it yet!) and I can't even pack my hospital bag as I can't get into my wardrobe. AAAARGHHHH!!!!!! I'm still at work until 24 June when I'll be 35/36 weeks so can't see it improving much until then. Just hoping junior doesn't put in an early appearance!

On the positive side, I did write an outline birthplan the other day. Would be lovely to be able to use a birthing pool but our hospital only has quite a limited number. They do have big baths though so hopefully I can use those for a bit anyway. I think I might make a list of things to do/get and start working through it this weekend. I'd feel better if we'd at least got some stuff organised.

lizandlulu · 17/05/2011 15:08

hiya gruffalomama dont panic! tell your dh there might be a possibility of baby coming early, you never know and it might give him his enthusiasm back? did the job with chrisGrin

KLou111 · 17/05/2011 16:49

Sounds like a good plan to me Liz, I agree Gruffalo put the pressure on lol!!
Sounds a bit of a nightmare, but I am sure it will all come together quickly.

I've got a habit of writing lists at the mo so we still seem to have looooooads to do, but we're back home next Monday (thank God! Had a bit of a taboo with brother on Friday night, and ended in him realising he didn't need a baby sitter so he's going home Saturday woohoo!!), MW appt and bloods Tues, DH starting house again Weds. Had enough now, just want him to be done. He's had enough too bless him. Just want the plastering done as that will make us feel so much better as plastering makes such a difference esp once it's painted. Then I can order nursery furniture.
Pram arrived today Grin it's at my mum and dads though and we're at my parents in law til Thurs (my other brother looking after my 'broken' brother for a couple of days). Only 7 miles down the road so can't wait to get it!!
