Got a bit of a Hmm one for you. I keep feeling kicks 'down below'. Am getting kicks in my belly but also inside my 'flower' area inside like it is slightly contracting.
Is this a normal thing????

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 09/05/2011 21:44

i feel it too klou so it must be just what happens. i imagine its just the babys arms down that area as mine is head down (or it was at 20 weeks) i feel most of the kicks and movement at the top where i assume its legs are and the grinding kind of feeling down at the bottom. i described it yesterday to a friend as 'like having a mouse inside burrowing down!' Grin

i have had bum ache today! all down one cheek. must be asll the walking i did sat night. but to cheer me up i have booked a facial and body scrub treatment for thursday morning. cant bloody wait to be pummelledSmile

lizandlulu · 09/05/2011 22:18

oh i ment to say, the baby jumper today for the first time! at work a lad was stripping a tyre and broke the bead which made a loud sound, and it jumpedGrin

lizandlulu · 10/05/2011 09:34

oh thats ment to say JUMPED not jumperHmm

have you seen the sad sad news about kelly brock? shes lost her baby at 5 monthsSad i cant imagine what shes going through, especially with her first baby too. it must be so hard with any pregnancy but with your first i think it must be harder for if you want to get pg again, she will never be excited about it again, only worried the whole timeSad

KLou111 · 10/05/2011 10:25

Lol Liz bet that felt lovely :)

Yes, heard about Kelly Brook. She was due in August, such a sad sad shame :(

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 10/05/2011 14:53

Just remember Klou, baby has 2 arms aswell as 2 legs, so imagine what they're punching aswell as kicking :o just wait till they decide flicking their toes off your ribs is a fun thing to do. . . .

So sad about kelly Brooke. Anyone else think it's odd that celebs are suddenly having a hard time staying pregnant? I know that sounds quite harsh, but there was Amanda Holden, lost her baby at 7 months, Lily Allen lost her baby, then Kym marsh almost lost her daughter, and now Kelly Brooke. I just hope Victoria Beckham has a healthy pregnancy.

lizandlulu · 10/05/2011 22:20

i think it might just seem like that as there are so many of them pregnant at the same time. itsnt it something like 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, i know that some of them are still births, but if alot of them are pg at the same time, alot more can go wrong? maybe i dont knowSad

i have been for the 4d scan tonight. i have got a couple of good pics but he had a hard time getting it in the right place. i am convinced its a boy, if it does come out a girl i will be shocked. i couldnt tell from the pics or dvd or scan or anything, i just think it is.

dh recons he saw its todgerGrin

i will put pic on here in a min

lizandlulu · 10/05/2011 22:21

oh and it weighes 3lb 4 oz already!!! and its breech, but hoping it will turn in time. he siad its not uncommon for them to be in this position, it had its feet in its mouth at one point!

KLou111 · 10/05/2011 22:31

OMG Liz those piccies are so clear!!!! Absolutely gorgeous little bubba!!!

Have my 4d scan now on Saturday (27+2) can't wait!!!!! Meant to be next Saturday.
My mum told me last week that there was an empty shop up the road with a 4d scan sign on it, thinking she just meant like a poster or something. Went to investigate today (as we're now back in the Midlands) and sure enough it's a 4d scan place!!!! Can't believe it; it's walking distance and £25 cheaper than the one we were going to 30 miles away!!
Only doing every other Saturday at the mo though as they have a branch in Nottingham, and don't have the staff at the mo for this one to be open all the time, and we're only here til 2 weeks yesterday so had to be this week or go to the other one. Can't wait to see the little one!!! They said if we take some music along, they will put it on the dvd in the background, but we don't have any with us Was thinking of that one by Massive Attack (Teardrop) as the video to that is of the same sort of image as the 4d scan :)

How do they tell the weight liz? (Sorry is that a really thick question!!!!)

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 11/05/2011 13:27

They're ace pictures Liz, I agree with you though, I think it's a boy, if it is a girl she doesn't look very girly if you see what I mean? That man is hilarious isn't he!?! He was flirting with my grandma when we went for my scan there :o When we saw her girly bits he was like "Look! It is definately a girl. There are no hangly dangly things there! Just imagine she is sitting on a glass chair and you are looking straight up!" We were all wetting ourselves laughing :o

How are you getting on with Bella Klou? I keep meaning to ask you that lol but keep forgetting!

Just spent 2 hours cleaning out our new fridge freezer, we just had a seperate one of each and the freezer was about knackered. Simon bought it off brother and SIL for £40, I was absolutely disgusted at the state of it. It's been switched off for god knows how long, and switched back on in the past couple of weeks and only just switched off again, and in the bottom drawer there were 2 frozen packets of chicken livers and a green pork chop. And underneath the bottom drawer it was like someone had tried to make caramel, it was DISGUSTING!!!

KLou111 · 11/05/2011 19:59

ewwwwwww Melly I'm sure that was all you needed!!! So gross!!!

Bella is doing very well thank you for asking. Keeps bloody chewing us instead of her toys though. but at least she not chewing anything she shouldn't be so far!! Can't believe we've almost had her 3 weeks!!
We're at my parents now, so really difficult trying to keep her in the kitchen (in case she wees) as we just want her around us as it's not fair her being stuck in there when we're not had her long, and it's a 'foreign' house, but she doesn't sit still lol! Can't wait to walk her properly this Friday :)

lizandlulu · 11/05/2011 20:06

thanks girls for the comments. my mum said today that it looks like her grandmaHmm

melly that is disgusting. i dread to think what the 'caramel' was!

klou the soundtrack on our dvd is horrible! really tinny and loud so try and get your hands on something else!

and about the weight, i dont know how they can tell, maybe its a combination of measurments? i dont know. its got the legs of a 32 week old though and stomach of a 30 week old.

my body is just doing a good job of looking after itSmile

KLou111 · 12/05/2011 12:40

May bin the sound then Liz and try and do it ourselves.

Third trimester today wooohooooo!!!
Celebrated by ordering our Jane Slalom R Matrix Light pram/travel set, soooooooo excited now Grin

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 12/05/2011 14:36

woooowww klou we are nearly there!!!!!

how are you feeling? this last couple of weeks i seem to have really got alot bigger and am feeling it too with backache if i walk alot all at once.

my pushchair/pram came yesterday. i unpacked it, put all the bits on it, wheels and everything, then couldnt get the carrycot to fit. the instructions said it was for a zoom and mine is a zynergie, so i rang and said 'you have sent me the wrong one'

so i packed it all back into the box, and as i was putting the carrycot back in, i found a bracket that i neededBlush so had to get it all back out again.

i left the wheels off and didnt think nothing of it as i was onyl checking the carrycot fitted, and it was slanting alot which would make the blood rush to hte babys head, so i thought this is no bloody good, but hey presto put the wheels on and its straightGrin not my finest hour i can tell you!

i had to ring the company and say sorry its all my fault, my mistake! just waiting on the matching car seat now.

KLou111 · 12/05/2011 18:37

Lol muppet liz!!

I am huuuuuuge (well, compared to what I was!) Me and DH were.....erm.....getting fruity last night and I couldn't see down below!! Blush

Got a bit of a Hmm
I am stuck in the Midlands at the mo, as you know, and meant to be having my 28 week appt next Thurs.
Have had to cancel til the following Thurs (29 weeks) as won't be back til the that Monday. Anyway, looks like I'll still be here that following week and not back til the following Monday (bank hol), where I will be 30 weeks that Thursday. Am really really worried as am meant to be having anaemia blood test, and AN check at 28 weeks, then another AN appt at 31 weeks.
Can I see a local MW here do you think???
Sorry if I've confused you!!

All it is is my bro with the leg won some tickets yesterday to the UEFA cup final Man U v Barcelona (jammy git) inc hotel in London and transport to and from the game. Anyway, can't go and was going to sell them as apparently they are priceless as you can't get them!
He's decided today to give them my other bro and my DH, but it's for 28th May, which would mean we either go home for a few days on Monday 23rd and come back or stay put (which I really don't want to do as I am pulling my hair out already!!)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 12/05/2011 18:53

i would ring the local doctors and tell them what you have just said. i had my 28 week app on tues, she did the bloods on me then too. i wonder if it HAS to be this week though? maybe if you feel well then they might be ok at your 31 week app?

KLou111 · 12/05/2011 20:55

Just had an ahhhhhh moment. Feeling really really fat today. Just said to DH (a bit sadly :() 'I bet you don't find me attractive anymore, and you think I'm fat and ugly.' He just looked at me (quite sincerely) and said, 'You have never looked more beautiful, I love you more than ever, and thank you for carrying my beautiful child.' Then I blubbed like an idiot and he gave me a huge cuddle :)

Have just contacted my friend here that works in the Gynae / c-section bit at the local Uni hospital and she going to have an ask if they can see me :)

klou thats such a lovely thing to saySmile

i dont know about ahh moment, but i keep having 'ohmygodwhathaveidone' moments. everynow and again i think what the hell have i done. i mean this was planned and wanted and everything. but i keep thinking that we have only just this last year started to get abit of me time back for the first time in nearly 6 years. got rid of pushchairs and got her sleeping all night in her own bed, only to go and do it all again.

i know its just panic setting in about how i am going to cope and am worried about juggling the 2, but i cant help feeling itSad

sometimes i think i am going to do it all calmly and get through it as best i can, other times i worry about being able to keep everyone happy.

but mothers do this all the time dont they, i am not the first person to have to deal with 2 kids (just feels like it!)

KLou111 · 12/05/2011 22:03

I know what you mean Liz, it has quite often gone through my mind but for me it's more of the unknown, but like you say, people do it all the time, how hard can it be really lol Hmm

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 13/05/2011 09:14

well its bloody hard enough first tiem round, most of the time in the first year you spend it worrying. worrying that you are doing things right, worrying that there is something wrong with them. i think i will be abit more relaxed with this 2nd one, but i am really worried about how i am going to get through the day on little sleep.

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/05/2011 14:40

Klou I advise you now, get in as much 'fruitiness' :oWink as you can now because you really might not feel like it soon. We haven't done it since last friday and then thats only because it was simons birthday. I just don't feel like it anymore, completely lost all enthusiasm for it. Which is so unlike me. That's a lovely thing for your DH to say, I think I would've cried too lol if anyone had ever said that to me :)

Apparantly I've dropped a bit, I can't tell but my sister and my grandma both think I have. So now they're both convinced she'll be early! We're hopefully going to Lincoln next week to look round the hospital and also to go to Mothercare to get some nursing bras and a few other bits and pieces. Can't believe I have less than 4 weeks to go Shock it's gone so fast

lizandlulu · 14/05/2011 20:29

ohh klou i didnt realise you was going to go to lincoln too! whats your hope for the birth? do you want drugs or natural or water or what?

i was actually getting abit worried about you as we havent heard nothing from you.

and i advise you both to get in as much SLEEP as you can. you wont be able to go to sleep whenever you want to, for the next 15 ish years!

thats another thing i am fretting about. i have got used to being able to put lulu to bed and know full well she will stay there till about 8 ish so got all evening to do as i please and go to bed anytime after then. wont be able to do that for a good few years.

MadKatz · 14/05/2011 21:06

Evening Ladies,
Apologies again for not being on lately. Frantically packing bits and sorting out stuff...moving house between now and Tuesday!
Hope you're all ok. Losing the internet tomorrow, so will say adieu and will be back on later in the week
