Oh heck! Grin

lizandlulu · 04/05/2011 19:45

ah thats a lovely bump iwishSmile

i have had a very productive day.
made app with midwife for 28 week check, tues
made app for 4d scan, also tuesday!
been to order pram/pushchair/car seat and matching bits
AANNDDD got one of these www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/35/8595/britax-baby-safe-sleeper-carrycotcar-seat---venetian-red/ reduced to £115 as its been on display. me and dh looked at them before but decided against it, but now we will be going in this horsebox thing racing most weekends i will feel happier about travelling with it laid flat rather than in a seat.

Melly19MummyToBe · 04/05/2011 23:27

Thats a lovely carseat Liz I wanted one that laid flat but couldn't afford one. Just put a bump pic up which I took yesterday, I look huge naked but not with clothes on. Simon pointed that out the other day. And it's true! It's so weird :o

KLou111 · 05/05/2011 12:59

ah your bump is lovely Iwish :) You're not too big melly considering you're nearly there :)

I feel huge, I think it's because I have never had a 'belly' before, always had big bum and thighs and smaller waist, so a bit odd now it's going the other way! Nice though :)
Got 3 pairs of trousers turn up today. :) Ordered normal clothes but just bigger. I can't win, they are all a size 16 (usually am 12-14), and they are too big!! Thankfully one of them has a elastic waist, so they don't drop down, but still feel baggy. Although my 14s fit me, they start cutting in by the end of the day.

We're getting a flat car seat too, (part of the travel system set) peace of mind more for us cos of travelling to the Midlands etc. I think you're OK with a normal one if you're doing short journeys melly.

Got our 4d scan on 21st, so excited, but looking to change it to 16th as is DH's birthday and he doesn't obviously want to be stuck in with my brother lol!

melly your crib is lovely! i have bought the winnie the pooh cot bed bedding to go with the moses basket (although not too sure why i think that matters seeing as the moses basket wont be in the babys roomHmm) but i do like it anyway. but now i am having second thoughts about it as i saw some lovely bedding yest in the pram shop but it was girls. so i think i will keep this winnie the pooh anyway and get another set when it comes and we know what sex it is. its going to need spares anyway isnt it?

i always do this, buy something then see something else i like, no matter how hard i look for stuff i always see something else after i have bought it already.

i have been to an outlet place today with my mum (see managed to get my dad to let me have the day off, so i havent actually been to work this week!) it had a mamas and papas outlet which was quite good, loads of clothes all really cheap, and alot of furniture and baskets and things. its at mansfield, then on the way back we stopped at a small outlet shop called labels for less. they have got packs of 7 humphrys corner vests and packs of 2 sleepsuits for £5!!!Shock but nothing unisexSad i said to mum we will def be going back there when it comes and stock up. they had loads of mothercare stuff too.

Melly19MummyToBe · 05/05/2011 20:00

Thanks Liz :) only cost us £40 off one of my grandmas friends S & DIL :) I went to an outlet place today aswell! Us two seem to do the same things on the same days don't we? First in the same Mothercare on the same day, and now an outlet place on the same day! :o Although I went to Lakeside in Doncaster. Got a £60 toolbox for £29 for simons birthday tomorrow :) Lakeside have a cadbury factory store, they were selling these huge easter eggs, no box or anything, for 1.99!

I know what you mean about me Klou, my sister looked like she'd swallowed a beachball when she was pg with both of her 2! I don't really feel big enough if you know what I mean? Even though Poppy usually measures 4 days ahead of what I normally am!

Going to see MW tomorrow, and as Simons off work he can come with me, will be a nice birthday treat for him to hear Poppys heartbeat :) Oh did I tell you we've decided on Poppy-Louise for definate now!

lizandlulu · 05/05/2011 20:42

poppy-louise is lovelySmile is the louise after someone? or do you just like the name?

we often go to the doncaster one but it doesnt have a mamas and papas, although these places always seem to have the same shops so it might do in the future! heres hoping!

lulu is in bed, although she keeps waking up crying, she says she has cheek ache, although i think it might be more like toothache. she has one on the bottom with a hole coming in it, she has interited my crap teeth i think, plus the fact that she has no dairy products at all, her teeth seem to get holes in overnightSad i try my damdest to keep them lovely and cleanSad hopefully her adult teeth will be abit stronger. makes me feel like the worst mother in the worldSad

KLou111 · 05/05/2011 21:01

Cadburys egg sounds bloody good to me Melly DH still has one in the lounge with 3 flakes in that will be going walkies soon Grin

I'm glad you have mentioned Poppy's middle name, meant to ask you earlier. My middle name is Louise, and I like it :)

Hope lulu isn't in too much agony Liz poor little thing :(

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 05/05/2011 21:04

Oh poor lulu, I hate having toothache, don't worry Liz, it's not your fault! Is she dairy intolerant then? According to my mum, according to Gillian McKeith, dairy products are the worse source of calcium, spinach is good for it, something called 'curly kale' and also sesame seeds are meant to be really good for calcium :)

Louise is the only name Simon likes. Besides Poppy of course. He won't read the book so Poppy-Louise it is! It's double-barrelled because that's the only way he would agree to Poppy Hmm

lizandlulu · 05/05/2011 22:04

no shes not dairy intolerant, she just doesnt like any cheese, milk, yoghurt or anything like that. i formula fed her from birth and she had a bottle at bedtime right up till she was about 2, but when i tried to change her onto cows milk, she just wouldnt drink it. i probably left it too late and will try to change to cows milk earlier with this one.

shes fast on now, so hopefully she wont wake up again. to make it worse, she is never ill so i never had to give her calpol or anything like that, so she wont take anything for it. last tiem i treid to get calpol into her was liek something out of the exorcist and she made herself sick so it was pointless.

this one will drink calpol for funWink or medised so i can get some sleepWink

lizandlulu · 06/05/2011 16:14

well the babys room is done, looks reallt good!!! although the lad doing it had different ideas to what a wave was, so it looks more like camels humps than a wave, but still looks cool. i will put a pic on later if i get time. the furniture should be here in a couple of weeks so i can start to get ofganizedSmile

oh and lulu didnt wake up in the night, and the pain is gone todaySmile

Iwish · 06/05/2011 18:16

Hi all. Woohoo for the weekend being here!!

Oooh Liz will have a nosey at your pic when you put it up, bet it looks lovely.

Hope everyone is ok.

Going to a party tomorrow night which is a 70s theme. I've got a maxi dress thats really bright. Would have liked a jump-suit but all the nice ones were a bit, erm tight. Would do nothing for me! DP on the other hand has a fab outfit, a suit which is flared etc and a bright green velour shirt that's all like ruffly at the front. Love it!

lizandlulu · 06/05/2011 22:16

sounds like fun iwishSmile

putting pic on now

lizandlulu · 06/05/2011 22:24

i have just had to update me profile too, it said i was 27! shamei ahd to write 31Sad instead

KLou111 · 07/05/2011 13:10

Liz your nursery looks gorgeous!! Lol with the camel humps!! But it's lovely :)
Wish we could do ours. Just had a winnie lampshade turn up today, it's lovely, only going to have a few subtle winnie things, got a lampshade and 3 canvas prints so far. Will prob get a winnie cot mobile and that's it really.

Iwish your night sounds so much fun!! Hope you have a fab time Grin

Melly19MummyToBe · 07/05/2011 18:52

Your nursery looks ace Liz! I love the colours! Oooooh I used to love calpol :o I'm soooooo looking forward to Poppy needing it so I can steal it I can be reminded of how good it is :o

Well Simon is back at work on monday after his 3 weeks off which he said were to spend with me after he had finished 'one or two' jobs which would take about a week. I have seen him for 2 days in total! Yesterday, which was his birthday, and last sunday when we went to scarborough. I think I've actually seen him less these past few weeks than I do when he's at work!

Hopefully getting a new rabbit soon if I can persuade him :) Oreo is lonely on her own and I want her to be a happy bunny!

How has everyones saturdays been? Hope you have a fab time at the party Iwish, sounds so much fun!

KLou111 · 07/05/2011 19:00

Wondered what you meant by 'rabbit' there melly LMAO!!! (Sorry, I'm in one of them moods today lol!!)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 08/05/2011 10:16

morning all. you can have my rabbit of you want melly dont get no use at the momentWink

well i am absoloutly shattered this morning, went racing last night and was walking backwards and forwards to the van all night and got back about 12. really feeling it this morning. i am starting to get that pregnancy wobble too! i cant seem to help it and dont remember having it first time round.

going out later tho when chris comes home from autojumble, he is crazy, he was up at 7 on his only day off to goHmm we are going to look for some conservatlry furniture, i am sick of it looking like a storage room and want it to look nice so i can sit it in when its nice weather.

hope you all have nice weekends whats left of it

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/05/2011 11:47

Lol by 'rabbit' I mean fluffy, floppy ears, waffley nose, 4 paws and a bobtail :o not the type that takes batteries Wink

Well, I'm still in bed :o thought I'd have a lazy morning in bed today! Simon left the house at half 7 to do some more work and I'm on my own yet again! I can see him ending up working through his paternity leave too Hmm as he says "It's all money to buy things for Poppy" which is nice but I think I'd rather spend time with him to be honest!

Poppy has stopped kicking now, she just wriggles and squirms, and also stretches which is not good, as she goes up into my ribs and down into my bladder at the same time and it's bloody painful sometimes!!

I think this pregnancy lark is catching round here, everyone I know seems to be pregnant! Someone I went to school with has got a son who is 1 in July and she's about 30 weeks gone already!! My sister knows 3 people who are due on 5th, 6th, and 7th June! 7th being me :o

KLou111 · 08/05/2011 12:03

Not a duracell bunny then Melly Wink
Not long long for you now oooooo bet you're so excited!!! Have you got everything now?

Well, had a chat with DH yesterday as we've only got 1 boys name chosen (Ewan) and I'm a bit Hmm if it doesn't suit him if we have a boy.
Made a list of others, fave's at the start :) Now our surname is Gameson and middle name will be John so bear that in mind and let me know what you think :)

Ewan
Ethan
Keiran
Dylan
Lucas
Curtis
Travis
Aaron
Jenson

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/05/2011 12:42

No, definately not a duracell bunny, see my pictures for proof if you wish :o

Nearly got everything now, just realised I don't have a bath thermometer though. Need more mittens and blankets though, I have been warned that you go through a LOT of blankets. And we haven't got baby monitors yet, although not sure we're going to need them so won't decide that till she's here.

I prefer Lucas out of that list :) and then Dylan.

KLou111 · 08/05/2011 13:25

I got my bath thermometer off ebay, was only a couple of quid :) Although I may buy a digital one (it's just a normal one).
I got my mitts and blankets (fleece) from George, mitts are soooooooo tiny :)

We both like Lucas as we like Luke :) (Skywalker in DH's case!!) Our neighbour who has a son Iwan (Ewan) though and has an older son from a previous marriage called Luke!! He'll think we're right nutters if both our names are what he chose lol! Oh well, won't live here forever :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 08/05/2011 21:28

evening all. melly i would def leave monitor till poppy gets here, there is no rush to get one, i always reason that they are with you every miniute of everyday for a first few weeks anyway.

i didnt bother with a bath thermometer, but for how much they are, its worth it if you want the peace of mind.

klou i my faves off that list are lucas and ethan. i really liked lucas till a lucas ripped of my dad for abit of money, now i am not so keenGrin funny how people of the same name puts you off names. like if you knew say a sophie at school and she was a bitch, it puts me right off!

didnt get any conservatory furniture, nothing was right, but its the newark county show next weekend and there was some lovely suites there last year when we didnt need one, so going to leave it till then and look there. if i cant get any there then i am going to have to go to downtown which has some nice ones but really expensive.

KLou111 · 09/05/2011 17:50

Lol Liz I mentioned the Lucas off Eastenders last night and DH said, that'll be a no then!!
DH liked Sophie, that was his first choice girls name (because of Sophie in Home and Away years ago with the really bad skin) Then I reminded him a friend from years ago who we don't talk to anymore's because his wife said jokingly she was going to leave him and take him for everything and I tried to warn him she was being serious, he fell out with me, then she did take him for everything daughter is called Sophie.

Bummer about the furniture. We've just put our old sofas in ours and they actually look quite nice! They are quite small 2 seaters and a puff thing and fit in nicely as an L-shape.
