Hi Lovely ladies!

Im sooooo tired!! Cant believe how tired i am. i could stay in bed 14 hours a day.

Ooooh Klou cant wait to see a pic of the pup! Bella is such a lovely name :)

Melly haha at the body hair!! I know i shouldnt laugh but you made me giggle!

Gruffalo Glad your house is nearly done now, bet you are happy! And your holiday sounds lovely :)

Liz thats rubbish about the bill, they must have it wrong, try not to worry too much until they have investigated, i know thats easier said than done tho.

Hey Madkatz i think im going to book a 4d one for about 30 weeks, no idea where i can go round here tho, shall have to do some research.

Massive congrats Eaglewings!!

lizandlulu · 13/04/2011 14:46

ohh klou bella is a lvoely name (both for a dog and babyGrin) and i can sympathise with you on the hair situation. i dont think its that i have grown more, its just that i cant really see down there anymore to see what it looks like, and i think out of sight, out of mind! although i had to take lulu to a pool party last saturday so HAD to have a go and had to get the mirror to be able to see properly.

i was stood sideways in marks and spencer this morning waiting for me mum to look at something and caught myself in the mirror. even i thought 'bloody hell' i looked huuuggeee. must be the cardigan i am wearingHmm

i have been meaing to call the scan people since you mentioned it klou i want to get it booked so i can look forward to it, might ring later. i dontk now why but i keep putting it off. dh is really keen to go but i think thats cause he thinks he will get to know the sex.

glad you are all ok iwish my tiredness hasnt really gone away, i was hoping it might have by nowSad

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 15:40

I went to a place just outside Lincoln for my sexing scan Liz, they do 3D and 4D scans, it's called Brayford Studio, wecouldn't afford a 4D scan so we just had a sexing scan which was £50 and in 3D, it's just the same as a 2D one except a lot clearer and more detailed.

Well we are extremely peed off right now. Had a letter off simons solicitors today saying he has to pay £50 to have each set of medical notes released by all the hospitals where he's had appointments. He's been to 5 different hospitals, so thats £250!! We can't afford that! What's the point of using a no-win, no-fee solicitor if you have to pay all that money!?!

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 15:57

Oh I suppose I should explain why we need to get his notes released, otherwise that last post doesn't make a lot of sense.

Basically, Simon is suing the company he works for because on May 20th last year he was tarmacing, and tarmac is about 300 degrees, so bloody hot. He was standing on it in his "heatproof" boots when his feet started to get really hot, and kept getting hotter. He went and sat down and took off his boots and socks and looked at his feet, they'd gone all red and we're in absolute agony. Turns out they were electricians boots and not at all heatproof. He rang me up to say he'd burnt his feet, the tarmac had gone through them and I was like Shock imagining his feet all black and half melted. When he got home and showed me there was nothing there, it was actually just the heat that had gone through. Almost a year later, 5 different specialists later, numerous amounts of tests, and medicines and his feet are still in agony, it's like when your foot goes dead and it hurts when the blood comes back into them, it's worse than that apparantly. All the time. But worse if he's in a hot bath, in a works truck, or using vibratory equipment because they vibrate quite a lot (apart from the bath). He can't walk barefooted either, especially on hard floors. He's never been so close to his doctor! When his notes get released his doctors going to refer him to go private, see if that makes a difference. But so far no-ones been able to figure out whats wrong with him!

Iwish · 13/04/2011 16:25

Oh Melly your poor OH! and that really sucks that ou have to pay to release the notes - no win no fee my arse!

oh no Liz i still have more tiredness to look forward too Grin! Your bump is lovely, not huge lol. I put a bump pic of me at 15 weeks up, not really bump, just fat lol!

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 16:35

I know Iwish, it really is a pain in the arse. What's quite funny though is that he went on these tablets that said he wasn't allowed to drive, or operate machinery, so he went on the sick from work end of August last year, didn't end up going back till January this year even though he stopped those tablets about a month and a half later. Anyway, he went on sick August 24th, and September 27th found out I was pregnant :o didn't take his workmates long to find out just how busy he had been while he was off :o

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 16:37

Oh, and I should imagine it will be a proper bump soon, :) all bumps on nice slim people such as yourself start off as fat apparantly, then look more bump-shaped after a while, then obviously pregnant!

Iwish · 13/04/2011 17:28

Haha Melly you were busy while he was off!!
Slim, me nope! That was this morning when i wasnt too fat, now ive eaten everything under the sun my brekkie and dinner its a different story lol!!

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 17:58

Anyone who is slimmer than me is slim. So there.

:o

KLou111 · 13/04/2011 18:30

evenin' all!

Wow Melly that sounds awful for your OH. And WTF about the £50 for notes??? They're YOUR notes!! Disgusting. This friggin country does my head in!

Iwish love your likkle bump :)

Will try to get pup pic up asap. Neighbour has just dropped off 2 guinea pigs til Sunday, flaming zoo here, oh the joy!!!

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 18:43

I hope you agreed to have them Klou otherwise that's just disgraceful :o

I know, we are majorly pissed off about it. We don't really see his feet getting better at all, he's burnt the nerve endings right off, hence the extremely painful tingling (they're also constantly cold), but no-one can find why they've not grown back yet! One of the consultants we saw said that because they've been like it so long, there's little chance of them ever going back to normal.

He also has to wear special thick socks called Heat Holders, they're so thick they even have a tog rating! But he only has 2 pairs and because the weather is getting warmer his feet are sweating a lot and since he got home and took off his boots the front room stinks of feet [bleurgh]

KLou111 · 13/04/2011 19:42

That's awful Melly must be so uncomfy for him :(

Lol about guinea pigs. We agreed to have them as our other neighbour normally has them was meant to be going away this weekend, but have since found out they're not. Bit naughty as we think they lied about being away so they didn't have to have them, so I just dropped them in it when our neighbour dropped them off! I said, 'Oh, I didn't think we would be having them seeing as X and X aren't going away now' (you could tell they weren't impressed!)

Just put up piccies of Bella, and also our dog, Bali.

lizandlulu · 13/04/2011 20:23

ahh klou bella is gorgeous! such soulful eyes!

melly that must be horrible for your dh, is he in pain ALL the time? however does he sleep!

and there is always a catch with those no win places, no one works for freeSad and like klou said, there YOUR notes! this country does stink the way the government run things, the more you lie and cheat, the more help you get.

i ahve got heartburn right now, it better bloody go before bed

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 22:06

Yep he's in pain all the time. He's just learnt to live with it really, I have to be careful not to accidently tickle his feet in bed with mine because his are so sensitive! But because his feet are always cold it's quite nice for me to stick my too-hot ones on the top of his chilly ones. It's only the soles of his feet that hurt, but I only do it when he's asleep because I know he'd tell me off :o

I have a bottle of gaviscon and a spoon living permanantly on my bedside table for heartburn because I only tend to get it when I'm in bed.

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 22:08

Klou your doggies are gorgeous! Love that bottom pic of Bali :o bet you can't wait to bring Bella home though :)

lizandlulu · 14/04/2011 11:39

i ment to say melly that brayford studio is whhere i am looking at going, mainly cause its only about 15 miles away and we often go to the frankie and bennys next door anyway! i am hoping to have the 4d scan, its got a dvd with it and some pics. about £145 i think as a package.

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/04/2011 16:45

The sonographer is really nice there, he's indian and sooooo funny! When I went he was flirting with my grandma :o and when he found what sex Poppy was he was like "It's definately a girl, there are no hangly-dangly things there!" He's understandable aswell unlike a lot of indian DRs etc even though he has a strong indian accent. One of my friends went aswell, and she had to have some 'special' lemonade to get the baby to move so they could get some decent pictures :o

KLou111 · 14/04/2011 17:00

That's a good price Liz, all the ones round here are £169+ so that's why I'm glad (to a point!) to be going back to the Midlands to have it done as it's £125 and you get a CD of pictures, 5 colour piccies, 2 black and white, a 10-15min DVD and a teddy that you can record the heartbeat in (which I'm not that fussed about, but it comes with it). Also comes with a gender confirmation which obviously we don't need but all the packages come with it.

Yes def can't wait Melly, Bali is such a cutie, he's just getting old and very grey! Used to be black and tan, now he's black and white lol!
My bro took the bottom piccy cos he's got a super duper camera and into his photography (DH got one too for when we have bubba :) )

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 15/04/2011 17:28

Thats a good price too Klou!

Went and heard Poppys' heartbeat today :) she was being unusually helpful today, normally she wriggles away from the doppler but she stayed nice and still so it was really clear. Next appointment is on 6th may which is simons birthday, so that'll be nice, he's off work for 3 weeks now, and he's off over his birthday which means he'll be able to come with me!! :)

How's everyones weeks been??

Melly19MummyToBe · 15/04/2011 18:54

:o someone just came round selling insulation. I opened the door and the man was like "Hi is your mum or dad home?" I just went "I have absolutely no idea, would you like me to ring them and find out for you?" The look on his face :o wish I'd had a camera ready.

lizandlulu · 15/04/2011 22:06

melly Grin thats so funny!!!!

well my week has been very busy, mostly busy at work, but have been out in the yard most nights trying to make to more of a garden rather than just weeds, and cut the grass twice last night! had to use the longer setting on the lawnmower, then the shorter one, but it doesnt look very healthy, got lots of brown patches on it.

klou do you think about the size of your baby? i am only asking as yours and mine will be about the same size and i am really having trouble imagining there is a baby in there thats big enough to live if it was born. i just cant see how it is in there! (i know its all abit late cause it IS in there and it will come out, but it just still doesnt seem all that real!)

i keep saying to dh, if it was born now it would have a chance of living, albeit a slight chance, but still, big enough live with alot of care. i just cant seem to grasp it!

KLou111 · 17/04/2011 10:44

Ha ha Liz, yes been thinking of the size a lot!! Been looking up on the net about my 'lack of bump' too cos was worried about it being so small, but a lot of people apparently don't get much of a bump for their first due to the muscles being un-stretched.
Seeing the MW on Thursday (24 weeks, eek!!) so will have a chat then. Although when I saw my mum and she had a prod, she could feel the baby all curled around and said it was probably sitting back, but I've been measured all fine so am not too worried at the mo. But is is strange thinking there is a foot long person in there!! S/he is very active too which is comforting :)

That's funny Melly, bloody sales people piss me right off. We're quite lucky as we don't get them here as we're just out of our village so they'd have to drive and as it's a 'private' drive with 4 houses, no-one can be bothered to open the gates a walk down lol :)

DH took me out last night for a lovely steak dinner (been on about it for ages, and he said last night while we were out what do I fancy to eat and I said, let's go to The Plough and have a steak - they have the BEST steaks - so we did!!) Feel a right fat hua this morning though, but was sooooooooooooo gooooood, just a shame I had to have it well done instead of medium, booooooo! (but still good)
Prob an end to our nights out for a few weeks as prob getting Bella (Bella at the moment, DH been looking at dogs names, pah!) Friday so can't really leave her for too long for a few weeks. Hope the weather is like this for a while, it's gooooooorgeous :) BBQ today me thinks

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 17/04/2011 20:25

evening all, klou i really wouldnt worry about your lack of bump, you probably just have really good stomach muscles (this is a picture of me sticking my tongue out at you)

we have had a lovely day, been to kelmarsh game fair, its been really warm and lulu has been really well behaved which is always a bonusGrin

i have got my midwife app on tues at half 4, then GTT on wed. i am not too sure weather i can eat or not. i have got to be there for 9am so its not really much of a hardship not to eat, but i am just not too sure. i will have to ring and find out. unless your about grufalo?

klou i have my steaks med/rare too and find it easier not to have them as i cant stand the meat well done nad it always comes out like that weather you want it to or not!

MadKatz · 17/04/2011 20:44

Evening ladies. Just back from a lovely weekend catching up with old friends in mid Wales. The weather (and company) was perfect. I love weekends away but quite looking forward to next weekend at home, been busy the last few.

Hope everyones ok. All good here, still only the odd twinge and no other symptoms. 16 week appointment with the mw on Thursday Grin

Melly19MummyToBe · 17/04/2011 20:48

You both may or may not be pleased to know that you can eat stakes rare while pregnant, just aslong as the outside is cooked and sealed, it's in the purple pregnancy book :)

Got some garden furniture today from The Range, Round table, 4 chairs and a parasol so we were sitting in the garden from about half 2 till about 6ish :) it was lovely!

I've been wearing pre-pregnancy clothes all weekend :o admittedly one outfit was a maxi dress which could double up as a tent if we really needed it to, and the other was a stretchy skirt and top :o
Simon keeps telling me how huge I am Hmm I must take a picture and put it up, I look like I've swallowed a basketball!
