Nice to meet you by the way Eaglewings :)

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/04/2011 18:37

And congratulations!!

GruffaloMama · 08/04/2011 19:33

Eaglewings that's fantastic news! :)

Sorry all for being in hiding. Been busy. bathroom done. Work crazy. Broadband knackered. And been out three nights (unheard of). Klou v jealous of dog - we have a cocked but I grew up with a springer as the family dog.

Sorry for short message. On phone on way home to dh. He has hurt his leg yesterdsy playing footy and is in a mood as he let ds play with a pot of emulsion which ended up all over the dining.g room and ds. Dh then fell over in it. Guess I'm going home to a huge mess...

GruffaloMama · 08/04/2011 19:34

I mean cocker. Soz

KLou111 · 08/04/2011 20:14

Hi all, only been off since yesterday and so much to read already!!
We had to rush back to the Midlands yesterday afternoon as our Manager has let us down and we have 3 tenants moving in tomorrow, and we had to get the rooms ready. We were having furniture delivered today so we had to rush back. We're not very happy, but only a flying visit, so going home tomorrow afternoon as soon as they are in. Parents offered to do it all, but easier if we just came back.
However, we had to go to Ikea to get something and managed to drag DH to look at the furniture for the nursery Grin. Really like the one you bought Melly, so just a toss up between that and the whiter one.
Had a look at the cots, god they are TEEEEEEEENY, so cute :)

Lol Liz about Lulu and it's light, get up comment, very funny :)

Your DH doesn't learn about the leaking boobs does he Melly ha ha! :) That dog is sooooooo gorgeous.

BIG FAT CONGRATS eagle, bet you are over the moon and on cloud nine at the mo Grin

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/04/2011 21:06

So you've had a pretty quiet couple of days then Klou :o My sister got the same wardrobe as we did, and she hadn't even seen ours! I must just have really good taste in furniture :o I was gonna get the lime green cot, but we ended up getting my sisters white one.

That dog is gorgeous Klou, but he's a nasty little shit when he wants to be. He also enjoys humping small children Hmm

KLou111 · 08/04/2011 21:32

No, not busy at all lol :) I have been the flat pack queen today!! Lots of running around tomorrow too, just thinking about tomorrow evening and being home keeps me going!!
Pain in the arse being here as our neighbours go away Weds til Mon and we're putting up a new fence in between us (don't normally 'do' fences, but he has a hideous shed which we now stare at out the side of our conservatory and don't want to wait 3 years for a hedge to grow!) Also need to do it while they are away as a 2 day job would turn into 3 as he would come out and start yapping.
DH still got to finish tiling the bathroom, which would have been done by tomorrow, so he's got a rush on for Weds! So will be a busy week to come too!

Coincidence about your sister and the same wardrobe. Lol about the dog :)

gruffalo and klou sounds like you have been up to your eyes in it! gruffalo literallyGrin

melly do you think your labour might be soon then? have you had any of that nesting instinct? i cant remember having it with dd, but seem to be doing more cleaning this last week. dont get me wrong i am not a mucky git, but i usually put things off till tomorrow rather than do it today. but i have had to be doing things NOW rather than later. might be something to do with the weather too thou, the sun shine shows up more of the dust!

Melly19MummyToBe · 09/04/2011 16:04

Crikey you are going to be busy! Just remember to take it easy though Klou, just because you don't have a bump yet doesn't mean you should be over doing things :)

I'm not sure really Liz, I think she will come early, but not soon hopefully! I just keep thinking that she is going to because I don't think the BH should be this uncomfortable this early on! If you see what I mean? And no, no nesting here. My house is a pig sty. I'm trying to stay on top of it all but my shoulder starts hurting too much then I have to sit down. MIL came round yesterday and offered to come round one day next week and blitz the house for me while I "sit somewhere out the way" I think is what she said. I think I'd have to go out though, I couldn't sit there and watch her move all my stuff around to the wrong places.

lizandlulu · 09/04/2011 20:06

at least she offered tho, my mil is 75 miles away and only comes if she can get soemthing out of it, and my mum points out all the stuff that needs doing, then goes!

lizandlulu · 10/04/2011 21:05

hiya all, have you all had a nice weekend? i have been to watch the racing at skegness and got sunburn on my back. i wore a cross back top and forgot to put cream on the bits where it crosses over, so have some very odd shaped red bitsGrin

picked my glider chair up on the way home, feels ace to sit in, cant actually wait till i can sit it in with my baby!

also bidded on a grace sweetpeace swing on ebay, it ends in about 20 mins, and is in my town. new hey are about £150, this is £60. i was in 2 minds to get a new one anyway as i saw one in kiddicare but thought it was too dear for a swing! i dont particularily want it to get used to the rocking, but will be very helpfull if it wont settle and i am on my own. plus lulu had a swing when she was a baby and she was okwww.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=graco+sweetpeace&hl=en&rlz=1W1ADFA_en&prmd=ivns&biw=1339&bih=555&wrapid=tlif130246590610310&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=16090104481283120030&sa=X&ei=fg2iTcDGKsWu8gOuxdinAw&ved=0CFcQ8wIwAA# its one of these

lizandlulu · 10/04/2011 21:41

never mind i didnt win it.

KLou111 · 11/04/2011 11:39

Hi girls. Hope you are all well.
Was enjoying the sunshine yesterday after getting home Saturday night, so not been on. Had our first BBQ yesterday woohoo!! Love this time of year as it means I don't cook most nights as I'm not allowed near the BBQ, FINE WITH ME!! Grin

That looks fab Liz never seen one before if I am honest. Another thing to look at buying :) Shame you didn't win it. Glad your glider is all lovely and comfy too.

Well, my clothes are starting to get tight now, so will have to get some new ones soon. My waist has all but gone, but still no real bump. Forgot to take a piccy Thursday as went back to the Midlands, so took one yesterday (22+3).

Just went to book our 4d scan as got to go back again end of May for a couple of weeks this time so won't be disturbed when bubba comes, and will be 28+2 when looking to book it. Perfect timing really as my mum and dad are away (for 46 nights, jammy things) so got their house to ourselves :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 11/04/2011 13:02

where abouts are you going for the 4d scan klou? we have been looking at having one, but not booked anything yet. i will have to look into it as i dont know how much of a waiting list there would be. might ring up about it in my day off.

i am feeling awful today, might be something to do with the fact we have had a letter from the electric company saying our meter readings are producing a bill of over £6000Shock i have queried it and going to have the meter checked on monday, but i think it might be right. we have a static caravan on a fenced off piece of land which a man lives in and gives us rent money, and i think it may be him running it up as he only gives us a set amount of money each week for the electric. i want to crySad

MadKatz · 11/04/2011 13:11

Hello Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been on for ages, work has been manic and then we went away for the weekend.

Sounds like you're all well. Not much news here really. Glucose test booked for Thursday and 16wk check up next week.

Starting to think about buying things now, but we have to move before the baby is born so very hesitant as the more we buy now the more we have to move Hmm

Thinking of booking a 4d scan too KLou as don't want to go from 20 weeks to birth without anything. Probably going to book one for about 30 wks.

KLou111 · 11/04/2011 13:26

Found one here Liz tried to ring but got answerphone. They don't ask for a deposit either which is good.
Can you have a word with the man that rents and explain that the bill is his?? As that is extortionate!!!

Glad all is well Madkatz hope you had a lovely weekend away :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 11/04/2011 13:44

klou he is mentally unstable and we kind of inherited him when we bought the land, we was too soft to get rid of him. he doesnt have 2 pence to rub together. he has his girlfriend and older son living there too (both of which shouldnt even be there) and they had the last 2 babies taken off of them as his girlf hit a 4 month old and bruised him Shock thats what kind of low life people they are.they are totally not approchable and any rent we get off them comes from the coucil so we dont even speak to him very often. i am hoping against hope that the meter is faulty.

hiya madkatz glad you had lovely weekend, i have got my glucose test next wednesday. got to be at the hosp for 9am!

GruffaloMama · 12/04/2011 16:50

Hi all. That's a nightmare Liz. Big hug and hope it is the meter. Sorry your shoulder's still sore Melly. Do you think physio might help - I reckon your midwife could refer you.

All okay here. bathroom done except for flooring and blinds. Paint has been cleared up and cut out of ds's hair! Had a really busy weekend including a child free sunday. V weird. Tired now but will be able together am early night this evening. But also on a massive tidy up give as house is a total tip. Have to do it or we won't be able to get ds's room done and move him before the baby arrives. And off on hols on Friday. A week in hopefully sunny Cornell. Really looking forward to it as work is cack.

lizandlulu · 12/04/2011 17:06

ohh gruffalo a week on hol sounds like blissSmile

Melly19MummyToBe · 12/04/2011 19:21

Hello everyone! well, 32 weeks down, 8 to go. . . .

Everyone had a good week so far? Sorry you're having such a nightmare Liz! Hope you can get it sorted soon!

Well, MIL cleaned entire house yesterday, and managed to put our shower out of action. She cleaned the shower screen a bit too vigorously and pushed it off the sealant that was keeping it watertight. I had a shower earlier and wondered why the floor was all wet! She also, for some strange reason, did the washing up, dried and put everything away (that bits fine, but. . . . she ignored the empty slot in the cutlery drawer where the forks live and put them in with the knives Confused! She is strange sometimes. And obsessed with rearranging everything! Ahh well, I can't really grumble, she didn't have to do it, she also came back today and washed all the net curtains! :)

Gruffalo I'm so jealous :( I want a holiday!! We might be having a weekend in scarborough soon though. Although I'm not sure about all the hills, it's too hilly in Scarborough for a lazy pregnant woman!

Klou are the babys movements getting stronger now?? You might be able to actually see it kicking soon! That's really weird, Poppy made me drop a book the other day :o

lizandlulu · 12/04/2011 21:28

hiya melly i have decided not to worry about that bill until they find out if the meter is faulty. i think it must be, unless we are powering the whole of newark!

can your dh fix your shower?

GruffaloMama · 13/04/2011 08:50

Hi again. Broadband working again so can actually go look at some of the piccies. It just doesn't work at night. Going to move to Sky I think as BT round here are rubbish.

Melly I love that crib set - very cute indeed. I had part of that for my DS. I hope the shower is an easy fix. And there is a bump Klou - you might be wishing for abigger one but you'll be glad when you've had the little one that you don't have loads of weight to lose! Did you decide to get the dog in the end? I meant to ask before. Sorry if you've posted about it - reading stuff on the phone just isn't as easy.

Eaglewings how are you feeling - any early symptoms?

Had a decent night's sleep and DH did a load of work to start turning our dining room back into a dining room. Working at home today so I can catch up on some stuff but to be honest they're such a bunch of halfwits there at the moment I'm not sure it's worth it. Am actually off to Cornwall on Friday (not Cornell - bloody phone). And yes, I am REALLY looking forward to it. It'll be especially good as with the Easter hols I don't have to be back in until the tuesday - then it's only a three day week, the next week is a four day week and cos of using up some hols the next week is also a four day week. Hurray!!! And I got my diabetes test results back which are totally normal - double hurray!!! Have to go back for another one in 3 weeks but hoping I can avoid it. Must try to steer clear of too many cream teas and ice creams in Cornwall.

Have a good day all.

KLou111 · 13/04/2011 10:41

Glad the house is getting there Gruffalo, sooooo need a holiday, been looking at a week in the canaries or something, but we haven't really got the time!!

and.....

......we went to see the Springer puppies again yesterday and bought one. She is the most beauuuuuuuutiful little thing and can't wait to bring her home. DH took a piccy so will try and get it on here. We can have her from Good Friday, but have some friends coming that Sunday for a few days, and they have a 6 year old boy who is a complete pain in the arse who will probably break her leg or something, so unless they don't come, we won't get her until the Tuesday.
Can't wait!! I suggested the name Bella or Ciara and when we went to look yesterday, the daughter had named them all so they could ID them. It was between 2 puppies (out of 8) and the other one she'd called Bella!! How coincidental is that!! :)

Bubba been kicking the crap out of me. Well, that is a big of an exageration! He/she has been kicking, but it is subtle. DH felt it again the other night. He says it's like an alien life form trying to escape! I put a pen there and he/she almost knocked it off!

DH called me a mammoth too as 'down there' has become really bushy (sorry if TMI!) Have you lot had this??? Blush

OP posts:
KLou111 · 13/04/2011 10:48

Oh, I booked my 4d scan yesterday too! 21st May, can't wait to see bubba again Grin. Will just have to avoid down there so we don't see anything we shouldn't!

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 13/04/2011 12:26

The shower should be fixable, but it's worse than I thought it was, I thought it was just a case of resealing it but the tile beadings broken so it's about a days job now.

So jealous Klou! I want a dog Envy Bella's a lovely name though, can't wait to see a piccy!
With me, the only extra hair I have is all over my belly which looks bloody awful in certain light but I've heard that if you get rid of it it doesn't go away after babys born! So I'm trying to ignore it. I was hoping I would be one of those people whose body hair just stops growing, but it's not happened. Now trying to trim down there is becoming more and more like a stunt Lara Croft would be normally be seen doing :o I am abit obsessed with keeping it tidy :o

If you tell the sonographer you don't want to know what sex bubba is then they will do their best not to show it!

Glad to know your house is almost finished Gruffalo!
