i can definatly see the change in your belly klou definatly more rounded

KLou111 · 05/04/2011 19:56

Are you saying I'm fat lol!!
I have defo lost my waist, and bought some of those extend-a-button things. I can't wait to 'look' pregnant :)
Anything planned for your day off Liz?

Melly19MummyToBe · 05/04/2011 20:16

I think you look more rounded Klou, it's obviously not fat though, my friend who had a baby last week, her bump was that same sort of shape, just a lot bigger! She was showing from about 10 weeks!

What do Braxtopn Hicks feel like? I think I've been getting them but not knowing what they feel like, I don't know! My belly goes really hard and it feels like someones pulling a really wide elastic band around the bottom half of my bump, just under my belly button. It doesn't hurt, it just feels abit uncomfortable.

Melly19MummyToBe · 05/04/2011 20:17

By the way I hope you enjoy your day off Liz :) lots of relaxing planned I hope!?!

lizandlulu · 05/04/2011 20:44

melly that sounds like braxton hicks to me, i had them with dd but only the tight feeling,. no pain or any other feelings. my belly just went rock hard.

and no klou not fat, PREGNANT!!!!!

can you ladies give me any ideas? this wardrobe that i like, if i get my friend to make it i could have some personalised touches added to it. nothing too much but i was thinking of having just 3 large shapes on the door. like if i knew it was a girl i could have hearts and crowns or something, but what could i have thats for both boys and girls?

in her shop she has a chest of drawers that say on the 3 draws ,crowns, jewels, tiaras on each draw, its so cute.

KLou111 · 05/04/2011 20:54

Ducks, teddies, winnie the pooh, eeyore, roo, piglet, any other disney character, lambs, forever friends, tatty teddy, musical instruments.
Do like the sound of crowns, jewels and tiaras though :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 05/04/2011 21:44

maybe teddy shapes? she might have some ideas of her own. god i dont know why i am so adamant about not finding out the sex, it just makes everything so much harder!

Melly19MummyToBe · 06/04/2011 11:11

A few clouds and a sun? Although I'd be tempted to paint them :o
I like Klous ideas, especially ducks or teddies :)

Iwish · 06/04/2011 13:24

Awww ducks sound nice. You can't go wrong with duckies for either sex.

klou you are definitly not fat - perfect bump emerging! I have put weight on my belly, actually look pregnant towards the end of the day lol. Daren't put a pic up tho as it isn't a nice belly.

Looking in the mirror this morning I noticed I have stretch marks on my boobs under my nipples. I thought you only got them when the skin stretched/grew?!? My boobs are exactly the same as they have always been, still in my normal bras!!
I've got them on the top of my legs too, they have probably got fatter tho lol.

lizandlulu · 06/04/2011 17:02

hey iwish i put a pic up and you cant be worse that thatGrin

my legs have def got thicker. they was already like trunks (yes dh's grandad actually said that to me once) and the have got bigger, not a pretty sight!

hows the sickness?

melly and klou you must have been having a laugh about relaxing! i have only just sat down!

Iwish · 06/04/2011 17:11

Hey Liz. You have got a lovely bump. Sounds strange but it's so bump shaped! I have fat around my ribs then it goes in at my belly button then fat underneath. Yuk lol.
Lol at your DHs grandad! I've been told by various different people that ive put on weight - charming! I'm only 14 weeks tho.
Sickness has practically gone. Just get the odd time where something makes me want to be sick. Certain smells or thoughts.
How are you feeling?

lizandlulu · 06/04/2011 19:55

ah thank you iwish i do think i look pregnant, but i am slightly scared about how big i am actually going to get!

i am feeling ok, tired all the time but thats to be expected! i dont feel half as bad as i did when pg with dd. i think i am having a boy and will be suprised if it does turn out to be a girl. keep getting hearburn and twinges in my backside but apart from that hunky doreyGrin

KLou111 · 07/04/2011 11:16

You do look pregnant Liz very Envy

Glad all OK with you Iwish 14 weeks, wow that has gone quick!! Glad your sickness has all but gone, you can start enjoying your pregnancy hopefully a bit more now.

Well, we went to see some springer spaniel puppies yesterday afternoon (DH shoots), and they were the most beauuuuuuutiful little things. I've never had a puppy, but DH had a springer puppy years ago (he died 3 years ago, he was 13).
We've got a little jack russell/border terrier who is about 12 (we got him from a home 8 1/2 years ago so not 100% how old he is. He's starting to get really old, and not walking far (lazy sod). So DH had a look the other night at puppies, as hopefully it will boost him a bit and make him walk (he usually walks miles if there are other dogs, almost as if he is making a point!) And if we don't get a puppy now, we will have to wait til long after we have bubba as wouldn't be able to cope with two 'newborns' in the house! There was 8 (7 girsl, 1 boy), we're having a girl if we do have one, and said to DH how do we choose, then we both saw 'the one'. She was the runt (the smallest) and she was the most timid little thing, but she was the most gorgeous, so it'll be her if we do get one. They are ready in 2 weeks, but need to make a decision today so no-one else snaps her up! We're 99.9% there with deciding yes, just bit concerned about our dog and her getting on!

Sorry for the long post!

Melly19MummyToBe · 07/04/2011 14:10

Oh Klou I'm so jealous! I absolutely LOVE springers!! I love dogs, but I'm allergic :( so if we ever get a dog it'll have to be something that doesn't malt, like a westie or something. Make sure you put some pictures up if you do get her!! Simons mum has 2 spaniels, a springer x king charles, and a cocker which they rescued just after christmas from simons big brother and partner, they were so mean to him, they kept him in a crate all day while they were at work, so thats about 8+ hours alone in a cage. They only got him because their childminder got a dog. He was an "anything you can do I can do better" buy.

I remember being 14 weeks . . . . . . now I'm 31+2 weeks and have 8 weeks and 5 days to go! Im glad your sickness has mainly gone Iwish, I can't say I know how you felt because I didn't get any sickness :o

I went into town this morning and got a taxi home, and the taxi driver was like "Now there's no chance of you going into labour in my taxi is there?" So I told him no, 8 weeks etc to go yet! And he looked abit shocked at that, cheeky git.

lizandlulu · 07/04/2011 14:56

klou springers are lovely, we had one last month but only for about 2 weeks. (dh buys and sells things ALOT) he always looks after them well, in fact i think they get better treated than i do! but it was the sweetest thing, but needed alot of attention and was very jumpy!

i have bid and won one of those glider chairs for £60, got to fetch it thou from 15 miles away.

Melly19MummyToBe · 07/04/2011 19:01

Ooooh thats good Liz! Where do you have to go for that? Does your DJ buy and sell other things besides dogs? Sorry I'm being nosey :o

Simons not learnt about my leaky boobs yet :o he still tries to grope them just as they're leaking, he manages to do that every single time :o I don't think he will ever learn to be honest!

My shoulder is still hurting even though I've left work, I can't even lie on my right side for more than a few minutes now. That deep heat cream or the heat pads don't work either.

Iwish · 07/04/2011 19:27

Liz do you feel much different to when you were pg with your DD? Apart from the heartburn and twinges lol.

Oh klou I love springers! A few of my friends have them. My parents have king Charles and I love them, they r so cute. Yeh 14 weeks! 6 weeks till we can find out the sex!! Can't wait!!

melly taxi driver is a right cheeky git!! You made me laugh with the leaky boobs!! They don't learn do they!!
Not sure what to say about your shoulder, you poor thing! Did you tell the midwife?
8 weeks to go till you meet your little girly, bet you can't wait!

Feeling tired this week. Can't be bothered getting out of bed at 7am and feel nakered after work!

lizandlulu · 07/04/2011 21:52

melly got to go to sleaford. my best mate lives there so its not really a hard job to go for it cause we can just call in on them on the way back. my DH wil lsell ANYTHING if he can make abit out of it! everything has a price which is why i dont get attatched to any of the odgs, they never stay long enough.

we have been together for 11 and a half years, and for 11 of them he has worked for my dad at the scrapyard. we live next to the yard and its down a lane where most of the travellers live. as most of our customers and friends are travellers i think he has grown up with and picked up alot of their ways. i dont mind, as long as he is not cruel to anthing i am not bothered. alot of the travellers catch wild finches tho and i draw the line at that. i will not have wild birds in cages. dh had one once and i let it go! the poor thing was beating itself against the cage and i felt so sorry for it. i told him then, you can have whatever you want, but no wild birds. no way.

iwish yes i do feel alot different to when i was pg first time round. i feel alot better, not so sick. i felt sick for 7 months with her. which is why i think its a boy.

i cant drag myself out of bed either, not since the clocks changed anyway. i used to be out of bed at 7.15 on the dot, ready and raring to go, but not now, i have to drag myslef out of bed and quart to 8 with lulu bouncing on the bed saying 'mum, its really light outside, does that mean we can get up?'

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/04/2011 08:01

I meant DH, not DJ Blush by the way. I really should proof read everything before I send it. Do they sell the birds as pets then? Thats so mean. Thats really strange to be honest what you've just said, you've basically described the area where our gainsborough travellers live, they live down this lane, right next to a scrapyard. Although there's no other houses nearby, there's a train station and the tip.
'mum, its really light outside, does that mean we can get up?' lol :o
Would you prefer a boy Liz or are you not fussed? Sorry if you've already said, I have a terrible memory at the moment!!

I have spoken to my midwife Iwish, and my DR, both said it's more than likely RSI and that I should rest it, take paracetamol, and use heatpads/hot water bottles etc. I will try my hot water bottle, but only when I find it. Bet you can't wait for your scan, even though the time is going slowly now, when you get there you'll be shocked at how fast time has actually gone!

This baby is such a daddys girl already, she wakes up when his alarms go off and when he gets out of bed she's not happy! She has little tantrums bless her, if I didn't know better I'd say she was stomping around slamming doors in a manner usually associated with teenagers :o

I have put a picture up of simons mums dog, the springer x king charles, he's a one of a kind, you may never see another like him!

lizandlulu · 08/04/2011 10:40

melly re the birds, they usually just keep them themselves, or until they get used to the cage then sell them. i know the area you mean, i know alot of people down summergangs lane! i have never actuallt been down there tho, it looks bloody roungh, our lane is much nicerGrin the scrap yards are always near gypsies, or the other way round!

and no i am not bothered what it is, although i would prefer a girl i think it is a boy.

thats so funny about your baby already knowing when hes gone! is he having long off work after the birth?

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/04/2011 11:06

Yep summergangs lane is pretty damn rough. Always makes me chuckle though when we go to the tip, on the way out someones spray painted the words 'fuck oof' on the fence opposite the way out :o

She likes it when he gets home aswell, she always does a little happy wiggle when he walks in the front door :) He's having 2 weeks off, booked it the other day, even though he was meant to do it end of february! Didn't actually know that until he got the forms last wednesday though.

lizandlulu · 08/04/2011 15:17

what if the baby comes before or after your due date, can he change the days to suit?

eaglewings · 08/04/2011 16:23

Remember me?

Been hiding as everything was not going my way, but its good to hear you are all putting on weight, suffering from piles :( and all the other things men don't understand!

I poas this morning and was not really hopeful so left the stick in the bathroom while doing other things for 40 minutes and walked past later having completely forgotten it was there..........and there was a BFP, well faint FP

:)

Long way to go yet and as I'm old am not getting too excited (who am I fooling?)

So hard not saying anything in RL other than to my dh and sister

lizandlulu · 08/04/2011 17:01

hiya eaglewings CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

Melly19MummyToBe · 08/04/2011 18:35

Well he's taking paternity leave, so as soon as the baby is born he's off work for 2 weeks. I have a feeling she'll be early, these Braxton Hicks are far too uncomfortable. I need to get cracking and pack my bag!!
