Will anyone join a new baby bus with me?

I just got a BFP this morning so its very early days for me, but I'm so excited I thought what the hell, I'll head straight for the pregnancy thread anyway Grin

If all goes according to plan this will be DC2 and due on 2nd October. Ive enjoyed being on the October TTC bus so I thought it would be fun to continue over here.

im 5+1 been feelin very sick only vomiting rarely though thankfully been like this for several days. DP is soo happy its untrue. This is my 3rd pregnancy only 1 ds though

MummyBerryJuice · 18/02/2011 16:16

I have some mild cramping too (which I also had with DS) but this time I'm also trying waves of nausea. Urgh. I think I'm around 5 weeks (did 2 conception indicator tests on the same day and the one was 2-3weeks and the other 3+ weeks) I have a tremendously irregular cycle and did not chart temp or do use an ovulation predictor kit so am really not sure when we conceived. Except that I knew I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago and did a test then but it was negative so... I wonder if it wasn't that I conceived around then?

Will ring for a booking appointment and dating scan on Monday.

jagjac · 18/02/2011 16:28

hello everyone, well i feel great 2day, i seem to have had loads of energy, did all the housework etc dont know where this energy has come from im still not sleeping properly, really weird,im 7wks + 4 anyone else had days like this?

mpops · 18/02/2011 16:46

jagjac, I'm about the same as you (7+2) and been feeling quite energetic today compared to previous days. I've managed to get through a whole day at work without messing anything up!

knittymum · 18/02/2011 17:35

Mmmm, I'm not quite 5 weeks yet, but the baby's wanting pizza, and who am I to deny him?? Besides, I won't want to know about food in a week or so, so I may as well make the most of it now! Smile

monkeybubbles · 18/02/2011 18:01

knittymum my baby wants pizza too! what a coincidence, just about to make the call to pizza hut

Crawling · 18/02/2011 18:08

Funnily I have bought some stuff to make a pizza tonight with the DC Grin but that is because while I like takeaways I am not fussed on take away pizza,or pre made pizza Confused

soundofherwings · 18/02/2011 18:12

rebelwithoutababy I was 7+2 based on last period at the scan, but I had ovulated and implanted early and they've dated me 3 days ahead, at 7+5. It was amazing to see the heartbeat, I cried!

Does anyone have a bump yet? What was bloating has gone down, but now I have a definite hard baby bump. It's pretty well hidden in clothes, but has appeared over 3 days so I'm pretty sure it'll be obvious to everyone soon. I'm only 8 weeks, but I am really short and tiny!

Molybdenum · 18/02/2011 18:25

soundofherwings I am really tiny too (size 4-6) and I have no bump whatsoever! Seriously jealous! I really thought it would pop put early because it has nowhere else to go, but here I am, 8+1 and nothing to show for it.

monkeybubbles · 18/02/2011 18:50

anyone else going to the baby show tomorrow?

it's not great timing since i'm not ready to buy anything yet, but i thought it would be good for ideas.

Penelope1980 · 18/02/2011 20:39

mpops am so glad to hear others have the cramping - now I'm almost 8 weeks I was getting concerned, but no longer.

soundofherwings am not sure about a bump, but def have a bigger belly. My Mum even noticed it! Am size 12 though so is probably less obvious.

jbob01 · 18/02/2011 21:32

Hello!

May I join you ladies..? Had a positive result on a digital last Sunday and I am 4 weeks! This is my first furore into the maternal world (and mumsnet)!!

V excited..nervous..elated...too many emotions!

Have estimated due date to be 27th Oct. Haven't told anyone except OH, would like to keep it that way for a good while yet! You girls may just keep me from exploding!!

Crawling · 18/02/2011 21:46

Just thought I would mention in desperation to stop my indigestion I have been trying upping my intake of Alkali food. I know it seems desperate but seems to be helping.
Alkali foods here for anyone who wants to give it a try.

bilblio · 18/02/2011 23:01

Hi all, I think I need to be here.

I'm pretty certainly I'm pregnant with #2. I have a 3yo DD.

I've been feeling achey for a few days, and having back ache, which is exactly how I was with DD. I also had very sore boobs and stomach cramps. They started today so I checked my dates and I'm 6 days late. I spoke to DH from work and by the time I got home at 9pm he was pacing the living room. He sent me to the supermarket to buy a test for me and a bottle of wine for him.

Does it matter if you mis aim and wee on the +/- window as well as everything else the tester strip?

If it does I might not be pregnant.
If it doesn't then the + sign appeared before the test window stripe appeared.

MummyBerryJuice · 19/02/2011 08:28

No it should be fine. As long as the test window stripe came up it is a valid test. Congratulations. Smile

Bouncyminky · 19/02/2011 08:58

I think I'm 7 + 3. I've had nausea but no actual sickness yet. I've also had achy boobs and my hips ache. I had the hip thing last time I was pg but a lot later. Hormones are all over the place - lots of grumpiness! I had the urge to spring clean the other day too! Oh and also waking at three each morning to go for a wee and because hips uncomfortable, it's then hit and miss how much kip I get after that. Lovely to read that nearly all these symptoms are commonplace amongst us all.

TaraSilv29 · 19/02/2011 09:43

Hi all, I'm 5+2...and wow isn't it dragging?! This is my first and I really don't feel much different at all yet, a bit weepy and boobs a bit tender but that's all.

can't wait for the 12 scan so it feels real.

elgoldenflower · 19/02/2011 09:50

Hi there,

Had BFP on Tuesday and reckon I'm due on 26th Oct. So I'm getting on this bus

First pregnancy, it was planned but happened as soon as we tried so still quite shocked.

Bouncyminky I've had pretty much the same symptoms as you since a few days after we conceived. Achy hips are waking me up several times in the night. Also left hip's started clicking when I go upstairs, I'm only 4+3! Got thigh, buttock and leg ache too.

MW appt not for another 4 wks so bit worried about the hips, does the aching clear up for some people or does it just get worse as baby grows? Eeek!

tummytickler · 19/02/2011 10:41

Morning all. I am feeling really crampy this morning, but only 4 weeks. Terrified it is all an illusion and my period is going to turn up!
Going to try and have a nice restful day today.
I also do not have sore boobs. Did you guys get sore boobs right away. Mine are fine, not bigger or sore or anything!
I am looking forward to booking my mw on Monday!

mpops · 19/02/2011 11:45

Hi tummytickler. I discovered I was pg on week 4 and that was because I had such intense cramps. My boobs had only just started to get sore around then. Cramps got better from week 5-6 and boobs got worse. Don't know if that's any help. I hope it is.

Fleecy · 19/02/2011 14:29

Hiya, have just added my details to the due date thread. I'm 33 and expecting no. 3 in October. Counting from LMP I'm 7wks today but because I have a long cycle the NHS calculator says I'm still six weeks.

Naturally I shall disregard this and go by my dates to make myself further along Grin

No sickness here, just the odd bit of queasiness, same as the last two times. But I do get horrid pelvic pain from mid-pregnancy.

Those of you already suffering, my physio says to keep your hips level and symmetrical as much as possible. So don't cross your legs, try to keep your legs together (cue jokes about it being too late for that!), sleep on your side etc.

Hope you're all having lovely weekends.

EdwardorEricCantdecide · 19/02/2011 14:33

Hi all
Hope ur all well. Sorry not been on for few days have been really busy cleaning house out. worked out that I'm now 6+2 still no symptoms working am getting pelvic pain sometimes.

tummytickler · 19/02/2011 15:23

Thanks mpops that is good to know! This is dc5 for us - you would think I would remember this stuff, but no.
Today dh informed me that really he ought to choose the name for this one Hmm this concerns me somewhat - especially if it is a boy!
Fleecy I think i missed the stats - of I go to look for it!

tummytickler · 19/02/2011 15:28

Found it Grin

seasaltbaby · 19/02/2011 15:46

Hello, is there room on this busy bus for another one??

I got my BFP on Friday and am sooooo excited!! This will be our first DC and it has been a long time coming. We have been trying since August and it was beginning to feel that it would never happen.....

I think I'm 4 weeks now so very early days still. No real symptoms apart from lack of AF(!!) and a bit of cramping. I think I'm due around 28th Oct.

Having read through the thread you seem like a v friendly and supportive lot and I look forward to sharing this journey with you over the next 9 months.....
