Will anyone join a new baby bus with me?

I just got a BFP this morning so its very early days for me, but I'm so excited I thought what the hell, I'll head straight for the pregnancy thread anyway Grin

If all goes according to plan this will be DC2 and due on 2nd October. Ive enjoyed being on the October TTC bus so I thought it would be fun to continue over here.

Sunface I dont hate you saying that I am pleased for you no point all of us suffering I had very little MS on my DD but loads on my DS all the way through.

Thanks all my sister had a bad D&V bug so it could be that I have caught it and it is making my MS worse. If it has not improved by the morning I will see the doctor Smile

happymummytobe · 17/02/2011 12:53

Linda I'm so sorry to hear your news. I was rooting for you and will continue to do so!

I'm feeling very emotional and have realised that MS often doesn't kick in until week 6 (next week for me) so maybe that's why I've got off lightly so far on that front!

I can't recommend M&S support bras highly enough - they look super scary but are SO comfortable. The relief!

emmazed · 17/02/2011 14:54

Linda i am so sorry about your news.

i am at 7 weeks, and apart from bigger boobs have had almost no symptoms. occasional slight nausea, but i think it is only becasue i keep thinking about it.

i sometimes think how do i even know i am preggers and have to remind myself that the test can't lie.

just need to wait for the scan i suppose...

rebelwithoutababy · 17/02/2011 15:18

I keep thinking maybe my symptoms are all in my head: I know I'm meant to feel sick and tired, so maybe I just think I am! Then I roll over onto my front at night and wake myself up with the boob-pain!!! I think it's just a really different experience for every woman and every pgcy: at least we can all share the crazy on MN!Smile

soundofherwings · 17/02/2011 16:36

I had some serious crazy last night- I've felt awful with exhaustion, sickness and back and boob ache for the last 2 weeks. Woke up yesterday and it had all gone! I was pleased for a couple of hours, then by evening I was a nervous wreck, convinced something had gone wrong.
Since I'm a medical student I turned up at my hospital's EPU this morning, sounding like a crazy person, and they wonderfully agreed to scan me. Everything's fine, saw baby and heartbeat. Smile Symptoms still gone, so I suppose I should just be happy I don't feel horrible anymore. Serves me right for wishing to feel better!

Tamashii · 17/02/2011 16:36

hi everyone. crawling good luck at the dr. Make sure they know how bad it is. I too was exactly like u say for the first half of the week but today i've been fine-just nauseous. I'm actually a little worried now but am wondering if it was my nephews stomach bug i picked up. Hope u get some relief from it soon tho-sounds like u and Fluffy r really struggling.

lovemylittlebean · 17/02/2011 17:01

Hello!

So sorry Linda, I was really hoping everything would be ok for you.

Crawling, that sounds awful, I'd definitely get to the docs if you can.

This might be a bit TMI and an obvious question but does know if you can buy sickbags for anywhere? I'm feeling less generally nauseous than I was last week, but when I do feel nauseous now it feels like I'm actually gonna throw. I have to commute on the train and underground every day and it's so awful when I feel like I'm on the verge of throwing up but have no where to run to, and I'd feel so awful if I ended up hurling all over the floor/people's shoes!

eagerbeagle · 17/02/2011 18:19

Linda, am so sorry to hear your news ((hugs))

Linda40 · 17/02/2011 19:15

Hi everyone, just want to say thanks to you all for your well wishes.

Feeling a little better today. Still bleeding very heavily (day 4) and got bad back ache. But im keeping my chin up :)

Sounds like a lit of you have really bad morning sickness, it'll be worth it in the end.

All of you enjoy the year, I'll keep popping on from time to time just to see how you are all getting on. Take care, Bye for now xxxx

jagjac · 17/02/2011 19:30

evening everyone, so nice to see all the newbies
linda i am so sorry to hear of your loss :(

i have such a bad headache 2day, still feel sick, mostly in the evenings thou!!

just wish monday would hurry up and then i can have the scan and then hopefully i can relax

FluffyDonkey · 18/02/2011 09:34

bean I take ordinary plastic bags with me on the underground just in case. Strangely makes me feel better as I'm less worried about puking on someone's lap! So I normally manage to hold on until I get off the train.

crawling sorry you feel so rotten. I'm not quite as bad as you but not far off! Am no longer craving junk food. In fact all food turns my stomach so I'm having to force myself to eat. Half the time I manage to keep it down, but not the other half! Strangely I sometimes manage to keep it down for a couple of hours only to then throw it up. Not sure what that's all about.

Newbies without MS - how many weeks are you? I started feeling sick after 6 weeks, but only physically throwing up a couple of days later. There's still time! Grin

Only 4 weeks to go until my first scan...

Hi - Can I hop on the bus please?
I think I am 4+3. I am feeling quite crampy, which I know is normal, but freaks me out anyway.
I have done 2 tests, but may do another one later. I really want to do one with a conception indicator, but I am terrified it will come back 'not pregnant' and I will be gutted!
No real symptoms yet except crampiness, and tiredness.
I will try and catch up with the thread, but don't hold your breath Grin

Also really Sad about your news Linda - Good luck and hope you get another BFP sooon.

Tamashii · 18/02/2011 10:11

Morning. Sickness back today. DS fell yesterday and cut his chin quite badly so I was up a lot of last night with him. He's much better this morning but I have had hardly any sleep and it DEFINITELY affects the sickness. I had taken the advice on here to make sure to get lots of sleep and keep hydrated which seemed to let me make it through last night's family get together with no symptoms so I didn't have to tell anyone. Back with avengeance today tho. I am so so soooooooo sick.

So, all the ladies with morning sickness - really try to get to bed early and sleep as much as possible to see if it makes a difference. I am going to bed when DS goes to bed tonight!!!

Hi to the new BFP's. Hope you enjoy your ride on the October bus. Everyone's so helpful.

Hope you are coping Linda - really thinking of you.

Tamashii · 18/02/2011 10:15

PS Sorry if that "get more sleep" sounded patronising to those of you with awful morning sickness - I know there are lots of occassions where there is nothing that works and it's possibly HG. Blush just realised how my comments could sound thoughtless. Sorry.

Hoping everyone is feeling a bit better - especially Fluffy and crawling hope you get some help fromt the GP. Take care.

rebelwithoutababy · 18/02/2011 10:22

Morning all! Hope people with MS feeling a bit better today...soundofherwings: how far along are you? So exciting you saw heartbeat - I want a scan!!!

Crawling · 18/02/2011 10:22

No it is not patronising Smile normally it does help the problem is I cant sleep though because that is when I seem to suffer the most which in turn makes me worse the next day so a vicous cycle Sad. Going to get some help today.

tummytickler · 18/02/2011 10:25

More sleep sounds like a wonderful plan. I would sleep all day and night if I could.

Only I can't sleep! Constantly tired, but I keep waking up at night and then I cannot get back to sleep - anybody else having trouble sleeping despite being knackered?

Molybdenum · 18/02/2011 10:34

Sleep certainly does make a big difference, as does eating plenty of protein at regular intervals throughout the day. I'm trying to keep to a low glycaemic response diet, as I;ve found that sugary foods are the worst for triggering the nausea - not immediately, but once the blood sugar levels start to dip reactively the resulting sickness is far far worse.
My sickness started at just after six weeks, but I didn't start vomiting until seven weeks. I'm eight weeks now, and it comes and goes, most definitely worse in the early hours of the morning.

I have my dating scan in three weeks, and a few days after that am booked in for a private OSCAR scan. Fingers crossed will all be good news.

So devastating to read of others' losses. Linda I wish you all the best.

mpops · 18/02/2011 11:14

I'm having some mild cramping - usually during the night and it last for 10 minutes or so. Then some during the day. It really is mild and sometimes it feels like it's more to do with constipation (sorry!) but I wanted to check with you all: is anyone else experiencing this? Should I be worried. I'm 7+2.

Tamashii · 18/02/2011 12:38

mpops I've been getting bad cramps and panicking but it turns out to be trapped wind Blush each time... I'm not one to let rip all over the place but trapped wind is so painful I might have to find an empty room every now and again Blush Blush !!!

rebelwithoutababy · 18/02/2011 12:39

Hi *mpops" I get this too occasionally, and I looked at a few other threads on mumsnet and it seems pretty common. Most people seem to think it is uterine stretch...sorry if that's TMI! Wink PS I am 6 weeks

monkeybubbles · 18/02/2011 13:13

mpops i have been having some mild cramping as well, i'm hoping that it's nothing to worry about

molybdenum i am at 6w+1, and still just nauseous, i'm hoping the worst isn't yet to come :(

tummytickler i know exactly what you mean, i've been on half term all week, but i'm still exhausted and haven't been able to sleep in at all!

fluffydonkey not looking forward to going back to work next week and having to carry plastic bags on the tube just in case Envy

NotjustaMummy · 18/02/2011 13:29

Can I hop on board? Not yet had my booking in, but my maths makes me due on 8th October... This is my first pregnancy, and so far not too bad, although reading the previous posts it just may not have kicked in yet. Well, hello everyone!

mpops · 18/02/2011 13:39

Thanks for the reassurance about the cramping, everyone. x
