Will anyone join a new baby bus with me?

I just got a BFP this morning so its very early days for me, but I'm so excited I thought what the hell, I'll head straight for the pregnancy thread anyway Grin

If all goes according to plan this will be DC2 and due on 2nd October. Ive enjoyed being on the October TTC bus so I thought it would be fun to continue over here.

Oh good! I'll go for that then- woo hoo Smile

sunface · 16/02/2011 12:06

apples i can totally sympathise! i'm normally an H cup :-( and ironically have been on a waiting list for a breast reduction...... my breasts feel and look humungous already at 7 weeks.. i feel like i look pregnant already cos they are so huge. Is anyone else exercising? i normally go to circuit training and pilates but have been paranoid about circuit incase i overdo it (had a MC this time last year) but also feel desparate to do some running or something!!!

SazzyM · 16/02/2011 12:07

argh - I have slightly browny discharge today. Only a little bit but am FREAKING out.

apples82 · 16/02/2011 12:30

How far along are you SazzyM?

Tamashii · 16/02/2011 12:42

Hoping Linda is ok. Everything crossed here for her too.

Fluffy Oh no. TMI alert. The bile sickness first thing. I have had that this whole week too. It's agony isn't it? It's like your stomach is coming up with the sick. Ow. I can only eat very small bitesize amounts well after being sick. It's pointless otherwise. just means spending longer over the porcelain bowl if I do eat first thing. I empathise completely.

I have a family meal to go to tomorrow. I am just hoping I manage to time it between the waves of morning sickness. It's just me and DS going as well so I can't even have DH cover for me if I have to run to the toilet.

Is anyone else having the constant nausea and some periods of intense sickness followed by an "eye of the storm" kind of hour or so where you feel ok, eat a normal dinner then regret is later on when TMI AGAIN you are puking it all back down the toilet? I feel like it's coming in waves but not at the same time each day so it's near impossible to work out when to get anything done eg had to go to the post office and stand in a long queue. Nearly didn't make it to the top of the queue having stood there for about 20 minutes. Generally standing in queues is starting to scare me. I have a plastic bag on me at all times just now just in case.

Also, it's been 2 weeks since I went to the GP to "confirm" and for him to get the little wheel out for estimated due date but I have heard nothing from the MW unit yet... I'm worrying already that it's because they are inundated with PG ladies ATM!!! Having visions of there not being any room at the hospital by October Blush

Hi to everyone else and the new BFPs too.

mpops · 16/02/2011 12:53

sazzy, can you phone your MW or GP to have a chat? Don't sit there worrying on your own! Hope everything is ok. x

Tamashii, it's only been a week for me, but I'm quite anxious to hear from a MW and get that going as I'm in my 8th week today. Are we allowed to nag the GP/hospital with a phonecall to find out what's going on? I wouldn't want to piss them off before we've already started.

SazzyM · 16/02/2011 12:58

I'm about 7 weeks. Going to try to call my GP as I don't have a MW yet...

Also have sort of periody type feeling in womb. Going to get some fresh air and try to stop panicking.

rebelwithoutababy · 16/02/2011 13:05

Okay, officially canteen shepherd's pie and chips is really helpful for nausea...am going to be huge if this carries on...got to get me some of those wrist bands..

AgBag · 16/02/2011 13:07

When are people planning on telling their close family and friends? I'm bursting to tell people, but also don't want to jinx anything by going public too soon. This is my first baby and I'm 5 weeks...

rebelwithoutababy · 16/02/2011 13:08

SazzyM if you get no joy from GP, you can call your local Early Pregnancy Unit for advice (hospital unit): am sure they will reassure you it is all fine though...

mpops · 16/02/2011 13:28

AgBag, I'm 8 weeks today and I told my mum on the phone (on the day I took the preg test!) and I'm telling my dad this weekend when they come to visit. I've also told my three closest friends because I know I'll need their support, whatever happens. Swore them to secrecy of course!

MummyBerryJuice · 16/02/2011 13:33

Hi all. Can I join?

Just got my BFP today, according to clear blue digital I'm 3+ weeks today (so that's 5+ weeks pregnant?!). I tested 3 weeks ago and it was negative then so must have conceived around the time of testing. So that gives me an EDD of around 21st October.

This is #2. DS is 14 months old and still bf and has never slept through the night. Oops

rebelwithoutababy · 16/02/2011 13:35

sunface have a look at www.nhs.uk/Livewell/pregnancy/Pages/Exerciseandpregnancy.aspx
there is some good advice about exercise there. Essentially, if you are already exercising, the advice is you can carry on throughout the 1st trimester, as long as you feel up to it. Important thing is not to overheat, so drink plenty before, during and after. I am still spinning, going to gym, doing resistance work, and pilates...

hotnspicyonions · 16/02/2011 13:38

Hi all, is it ok if I get on the bus??? After MC in November I have POAS twice in the last 14 hours and after getting a faint line on the first one, went out and bought a CB Digi which gave a BFP of 1-2 weeks. So all the SWI over the last few weeks has finally paid off. And not a handstand in sight Wink!!!
Have worked out my due date is about 27 October and am equally excited and nervous. Mainly coz of what happened last time! And I want to tell everyone, so at least I've let a good few of you on here know :)
Congratulations to all those of you on the bus already. And Linda I'll be thinking of you later (my legs are crossed as I type!)

AgBag · 16/02/2011 13:41

MummyBerryJuice, Congratulations! I'm due around the 20th, my first.

SazzyM, Hope you get the advice you need, I'm sure you'll be fine.

mpops, I did the test with my husband and told my parents immediately. Husband has not told his parents yet as his mother has a brain tumour and although ok, shes not likely to be able to keep the news a secret as she doesnt think before she speaks these days. A real shame. But hes obviously desperate to tell her, so hopefully strict instructions will encourage her to keep it quiet. Although I expect half of Ireland will know once she knows! Although I joke, I'm actually very nervous about telling her, but also can't really tell husband not to tell her. Shes very depressed, so the news would give her a real lift.

BananaMad · 16/02/2011 13:53

Afternoon all - room for another newbie on the bus? I'm about 7 1/2 weeks with baby no 1, had pregnancy confirmed by Dr, internal ultrasound etc (what a weird experience, possibly a German thing?!) and am DESPERATE to tell someone other than hubby, who has known from the pee-stick-moment.
Just wanted to say that this forum is fab and really helps with the little questions of the 'Is this normal' variety :)
Oh and the hint about the hairband to expand the jeans - amazing :o

apples82 · 16/02/2011 13:56

Any words SazzyM?

sunface · 16/02/2011 14:13

thanks rebel, i'll take a look at the site. Plan on going to my class tomorrow night and see how i get on. Know with my first pregnancy i was spinning and running right up to about 20weeks.... much older now though :-(

SazzyM · 16/02/2011 15:09

Hey - am breathing more normally, haven't called GP but there has been nothing since this morning and it was such a small amount that I feel a bit crazy calling GP. Tummy has been ok, little crampy but not out of the ordinary.

Have read the nhs site about discoloured discharge etc and am hoping that it's just that.

If anything else appears I'll be heading to GP.

Wish I was at home - have just had back to back meetings which is not ideal.

kateepie2 · 16/02/2011 15:21

Is anybody else having problems thinking at the moment? I'm normally really careful, and suddenly typos keep appearing everywhere, and I keep getting things wrong, getting a bit embarrassing! Don't know if its just tiredness or my brain rapidly turning into mush! I read something about pregnancy brain not actually existing, I beg to differ! Hmm

Glad your gunk didn't come to anything sazzy fx for linda too

xx

mpops · 16/02/2011 15:29

Glad you're feeling better, SazzyM. Hope you get home quick and relax a bit.

kateepie, I'm having exactly the same problem. It's a huge thing for me as well because most of my work involves copyediting and proofreading - total nightmare! I made a massive mistake a couple of weeks ago and couldn't figure out how it'd happened but now I know!

MummyBerryJuice · 16/02/2011 16:40

The reason I tested today is because I've been spool exhausted. Just can't keep my eyes open, feel like I've run a marathon exhausted. Was the same in my first pregnancy but didn't have a toddler to run after then. Also have the constant nausea Envy < not a jealous face a green, yurgh, face.

It's gonna be a loooong first trimester Grin

Linda40 · 16/02/2011 17:05
