Will anyone join a new baby bus with me?

I just got a BFP this morning so its very early days for me, but I'm so excited I thought what the hell, I'll head straight for the pregnancy thread anyway Grin

If all goes according to plan this will be DC2 and due on 2nd October. Ive enjoyed being on the October TTC bus so I thought it would be fun to continue over here.

This is gonna sound weird but I am absolutly starving and dying for a take away. I have eaten yet my stomach is growling and gurgeling and nothing is stoping it because I want a Indian. I cant think about anything other than getting a Curry Confused

Crawling · 08/02/2011 14:19

Also even though I have been eating loads I have lost weight, I cant seem to eat enough, Confused

dribbleface · 08/02/2011 14:27

sunface my 'morning sickness'last time was at its worst in the evening. Not too bad this time so far but was retching badly on a shopping trip last night!

arabella36 - going to send DH up on the loft later to find my maternity bras. Honestly think i might explode! Thing is only the later ones will fit as i was much smaller up top to start with last time.

made my appointment with doctor/nurse next week for booking in, large debate between two receptionists about whether it was too early....Hmm wouldn't mind but i asked them last week when i was there for something else if i needed to wait (last surgery wouldn't see you before 8 weeks) and was told no book anytime. My emotional side meant i nearly cried.....bloody hormones

sunface · 08/02/2011 14:28

oh that just makes me jealous crawling!!! my stomach is bursting at the moment and all i've had is a sandwich..... sure i've put on loads of weight in the last few weeks :( mmmm curry mmmmmmmm

kateepie2 · 08/02/2011 14:32

I've got my appointment booked for next Tuesday, hopefully the doctor won't be a git, they usually are in my surgery, the one good doctor left!

I've been feeling sick since last Wednesday, some days better than others, I generally feel ok up to about breakfast time, then feel a bit grim on the journey into work. Yesterday I didn't feel too bad during the day, but kind of worn out - went to bed for a bit when I got home, and couldn't face most of my dinner, despite having chosen the meal and cooking it!

Think DP feels quite guilty that its me going through all this, whilst he's absolutely fine Wink

Crawling · 08/02/2011 14:35

sunface oh no I did feel like that and then it just changed perhaps you will too Smile even if you dont it will all come off after Smile I have had a sandwich, a bannan a apple, chocolate, 2 bowls of cereal and a youghurt and I am still hungry Shock

arabella36 · 08/02/2011 14:50

sunface - don't worry its probably just bloating and not weight gainSmile

crawling - I ate takeaway all the time during first pregnancy and only put on the average amount of weight. I'm convinced my body needed it, well it didn't do any harm that's for sure. And my baby happily eats healthy homecooked foods without salt- I had worried she'd come out screaming for a Burger King!

happymum - I think the cramps are just par for the course. I worried about them too though.

fluffy - I feel bad for you. Really hope you get lots of sleep tonite and feel better tomorrow.

I don't normally think about fast food every day, but once I was pregnant the first time I started nipping out from work for some at lunchtime. It was the only thing which would stop the nausea, bizarre. Its happening again this time! Am a bit worried colleagues will see me eating fatty salty stuff instead of the usual sandwiches and they'll guess I'm pregnant!

Hi, can I join the bus too? I got a BFP at the weekend and am so happy. I think I am about 5 weeks now with my 1st. I kind of suspected before as my breasts jumped up a cup size and I didn't have the usual swelling.

When should I arrange a GP appointment? I am already taking folic acid and vitamin D (have been trying for a while).

FluffyDonkey · 08/02/2011 15:16

Thanks for all the kind words.
I'm used to migraines as I get them very regularly. Not so used to throwing up and feeling sick all day and definately not used to putting my cat down Sad

kateepie2 DH feels really bad for me to be going through all this too. But there isn't any way for him to help me.

Am sleeping loads, although quite badly. Slept 10 (broken) hours last night.

Also craving fast food and just food in general. Am nibbling ginger biscuits and raisins throughout the day. Went for a Mcdonalds this lunchtime Blush Thing is i'm hungry but can't eat a lot. I ended up leaving half of it.

FluffyDonkey · 08/02/2011 15:17

And now I want the other half which I threw away!!!Grin

newmummy2lucas · 08/02/2011 15:21

Thanks Penelope glad to hear that's normal and makes sense!
Fluffy so sorry to hear that you are having such a rotten day today :( roll on 4pm hopefully dp will be able to take care of you tonight.

It is so sad to hear peoples losses but this thread is lovely as finding out so early I have at least had people to ask questions too and share the news. I did tell one of my friends today and it was so lovely to be able to talk about it :)

olismum23 · 08/02/2011 15:53

monkeybubbles · 08/02/2011 19:30

how is everyone doing at not telling anyone at work? it just seems impossible not to mention it, and for 7 1/2 more weeks? i'm glad it's half term next week, but after that i don't know what i'll do, especially as the nausea seems to be getting worse everyday!

newmummy2lucas · 08/02/2011 19:52

Another new joiner coming over from the October conception bus....

BFP yesterday with EDD of 17th Oct.

This is DC#2 for me although I've had an ectopic and a MMC at 13 weeks since DS...

Obviously slightly nervous about everything going ok with this pregnancy but happy to have made it to the starting line :)
