Will anyone join a new baby bus with me?

I just got a BFP this morning so its very early days for me, but I'm so excited I thought what the hell, I'll head straight for the pregnancy thread anyway Grin

If all goes according to plan this will be DC2 and due on 2nd October. Ive enjoyed being on the October TTC bus so I thought it would be fun to continue over here.

Janzen · 07/02/2011 17:16

Hello all. I'd like to join the bus, too. I think I'm in my 6th week now, due 7 October. This is my first! I'm trying not to tell people but I'm terrible at keeping my own secrets so this is hard.

lovemylittlebean · 07/02/2011 17:35

so sorry ninunina Sad

jagjac · 07/02/2011 20:39

i am so sorry ninuina, xx

newmummy2lucas · 07/02/2011 20:51

Oh ninuina so sorry for your loss :( sending hugs xx

Have been feeling super sick recently and boobs sooo tender! Have been having pain, not really bad but bits of pain at least once a day. Has anyone else been having this? Was wondering if I could be to do with the c section I had with ds just over a year ago or maybe I am just over analyzing it? I can't remember how o felt last time!

Tamashii · 07/02/2011 21:13

newmummy I have been having some aches and pains low down like muscle aches (at least that is what DH is trying to persuade me it is) and I only just got awful nauseau/dry retching from this morning really. Just nausea until today but now everything is turning my stomach. Could sleep for a week too.

Hi to the new bus passengers.

newmummy2lucas · 07/02/2011 21:29

Does feel a but muscular tamashii but still more like period pains I think. Am completely exhausted too hoping that stage will pass fairly soon!

Linda40 · 07/02/2011 21:56

Janzen - Hi, we are due around the same time, Im October 9th :) But this is my 3rd. Welcome x

Penelope1980 · 08/02/2011 05:16

So sorry for your loss Nunuina.

My pains are like period pains, not muscular.

I saw my midwife for the first time today which was exciting and good to talk to her - as this is my first I had so many q's. It was good getting info from her too about food, and to know baths are OK as I had heard otherwise.

newmummy2lucas · 08/02/2011 09:05

Penelope did the mw say that those sort of pains are normal? Don't have my mw appt for another couple of weeks!

Penelope1980 · 08/02/2011 09:10

Yes she did! She said it's all perfectly normal and due to the uterus growing and everything moving around to accomodate it so not to worry. That made me feel better as always worried it meant I was about to miscarry or some such.

Crawling · 08/02/2011 09:18

So sorry Nunuina Sad.

Just poping in to show that I have shortened my name Grin.

dribbleface · 08/02/2011 09:25

Really sorry Nunuina

emmazed · 08/02/2011 10:25

so sorry Ninuina

we told our parents and sisters and brothers at the weekend. everyone was over the moon, and having other people to talk to apart from DH makes it more real.

i have felt bad the last few days with tummy pains, and a bit of nausea. feel much better today so far.

all being well going on a tour of the nearest hospital to us this weekend to see if we are going to sign up - v excited!

truthisinthewine · 08/02/2011 10:43

So sorry ninuina

I haven't told anyone yet. Still feels too early for me to say anything. Going to have to tell work soon though. I am only part time but it is very hard physically when I am there and involved some quite heavy lifting and moving very heavy things. I really struggled there last night

I rang the midwives this morning, we have to refer ourselves to them here. Although not sure when we start seeing them from.

happymummytobe · 08/02/2011 11:25

ninunina I'm so, so sorry. I hope you're feeling ok and people around you are looking after you xxx

FluffyDonkey · 08/02/2011 12:11

Hey all
sorry for your loss Ninunina

Am having a rotten day today. Morning sickness + stomach cramps + pounding migraine + my 16 year old cat is being put down today Sad + I have to work

The only thing I've told my manager about is the migraine (I get them frequently so he is used to it) and he keeps trying to force feed me tablets. I keep telling him I've taken my maximum dose (he doesn't need to know that's zero cos I'm pregnant!).

All I want to do is go home and curl up into a ball and cry my eyes out (pretty much what I did last night) but I have so much work to do I can't.

Am going to try and do as much as possible and leave by 4pm (as opposed to my usual 8pm). But I'm finding it very hard to concentrate.

Linda40 · 08/02/2011 13:02

FluffyDonkey - Hope the day goes quickly for you then you can get home ASAP :( Go home and try to de-stress. Take care, thinking of you ((hugs))

arabella36 · 08/02/2011 13:51

ninunina - very sorry to hear your news. I hope you'll be OK.

fluffy - what a day! Is cocodamol or paracetamol any good for your headaches or does it have to be specific migraine medication? Might be worth a try if the migraine tablets are not allowed.

Its awful that some people have had miscarriages on here. I thought of that at the start of the thread - that it could happen to me and that it was a bit silly starting a thread so early when the risk was so high. But then I thought at least it wouldn't be having to tell people the bad news in real life. And having this thread makes me less tempted to tell other people in RL too early.

FluffyDonkey · 08/02/2011 14:02

arabella normal paracetamol is useless on my migraines. Even strong migraine medecine doesn't always work. So atm I'm on nothing, just waiting for it to pass.

I agree that this thread makes me less tempted to tell people early. I almost cracked today after throwing up 3 times in the toilets, I just wanted my manager to give me a break. But fortunately I didn't tell him.

And I agree the miscarriages are so sad. I keep reminding myself I'm only 6 weeks so not out of the woods yet

happymummytobe · 08/02/2011 14:04

arabella - That's exactly how I feel. It's so strange not telling anyone isn't it?! I'm feeling ok and reassured after reading a bit higher up this thread because I had a few mild crampy pains this morning which worried me a bit. I'm off to buy a maternity bra this evening because I can't stay in my normal one for a day longer - ouch!!
fluffy - I'm feeling your pain! Paracetamol, lots of hot drinks and a long bath tonight perhaps?

sunface · 08/02/2011 14:05

oh fluffy :( hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and tomorrow is a better day...

i'm feeling very queasy today, but has only just started in last hour or so? do you get morning sickness at any point in the day or is that a silly question?

arabella i'm the same as you, just can't tell anyone in real life yet either, still seems too soon.
