Will anyone join a new baby bus with me?

I just got a BFP this morning so its very early days for me, but I'm so excited I thought what the hell, I'll head straight for the pregnancy thread anyway

If all goes according to plan this will be DC2 and due on 2nd October. Ive enjoyed being on the October TTC bus so I thought it would be fun to continue over here.

Thanks for everyone's kind words. I feel more positive today - which I'm sure is because I don't have to work and see my client! DH has advised me to talk to my manager and tell him that I'm having difficulty with my client always being so agressive. Hopefully my manager can advise me how to deal with him.

Morning sickness kicked in for me this morning. Bizarrely when I was cleaning my teeth( think the mint taste got me) and later when I was lugging the shopping up our 6 flights of stairs!

Rang my mum and mentionned it. She said she was sick from 4 weeks to 6 months with me and after that whenever she overdid it. I really hope I don't have this for another 5 months!!!

Thanks for the reassurance jagjac. Did you just contact your doctor to get an early scan? My doctor has refered me to my chosen maternity unit, but haven't heard anything from them so far. Don't know if I should follow it up with a call and try get an early scan to put my mind at rest.

FluffyDonkey I've noticed that my morning sickness gets worse when I over do it too. I've had to run to the toilet after carrying something heavy & once after sex....otherwise its just a constant mild nauseous feeling.

Is anyone else getting heartburn already? x

Can't say that I am Olismum - not looking forward to that bit though!

With my first i got it late 2nd trimester but nope now i have it weird! I never normally get heartburn so know its the bean but just so early! x

Gawd, I cant stop eating today! Here piggy piggy. Ive lost three stone prior to getting pregnant, I'll be piling it back on at this rate! lol

I havent had any spotting, but because I had a MC last year, every time I go to the loo I find my self checking my knicks!

Got two weeks to wait until the 7 week scan...It seems like a lifetime away!

Linda40 I am in the same boat with the eating and i also lost two stone before i got pregnant last time and this time! But when .you have to eat you have to eat!
I am also checking my self after being told i will definitely MC almost 2 weeks ago only to find my baby strong and only 5 and a weeks on a scan on Friday! my hormones just dont double every 48hrs im one of 15%
(needless to say the doc had it wrong) i have another scan on 18th.

Like a lot of others am constantly knicker checking too and still have loads of CM! Only other symptom is achey boobs...

Hi Olismum23 Glad the docs got it wrong for you and so pleased that the baby is strong at this point. Lets hope everyting will still be ok on the next scan. We are willing our life away between scans.

Ill have the turning circle of a bus soon, jeans are not a comfy even at this early stage. lol

Not got heartburn...yet!

Not got heatburn now, but it was one of my first symtoms a few weeks ago. I feel sick now though. Ug. It's hard keeping secret from workmates, especially when someone who sits near me is eating food that turns my stomach!

Can I join in?

Got my BFP a few days ago, this was our second cycle of trying and will (hopefully) be my 3rd DC.

I feel like I have been hit by a bus, just really lethargic and crappy at the moment.

I hate this time, it seems so early, and although I want to get excited so aware that we still have such a long way to go. Looking forward to getting to the first scan stage.

You too. When is your due date? Have you made any appointments with the midwife yet?

I dont know my due date as I am bf and cant remember when my last period was, so MW has asked the hospital to send me a appointment for a dating scan. What about you?

Not sure but guessing about mid October. Think I'm only about 4 weeks ish. Not contacted anyone yet. Will give the midwife a ring in the next week or so. I have moved since having my last two so not sure when they start seeing you round here. Hope you're not waiting too long for a scan date.

Molybdenum thanks so much for the nutrition advice. You've put my mind at ease about the calcium, a couple of tweaks and I should be getting plenty. Would you mind if I PM'd you sometime? I'm fascinated about nutrition and have started looking at degrees / courses to learn more (with a possible career change later on) so would be really interested to hear what route you took.

I still don't have much in the way of symptoms which worries me a bit. Some tummy cramps and bloating, that's it. Am hoping I'll get bigger boobs, not being particularly blessed in that department I've always wanted pregnancy boobs! Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be one of the lucky few who don't suffer with sickness but I'm guessing it's just early days yet...6 weeks tomorrow.

Ive been offered the swine flu injection. Has anyone any views?

We found out 2wks ago that I was 4wks pg!! Woohoo! So 6wks today and due 2nd Oct. It's our first BFP (will never forget DH face when I ran screeming out the bathroom!)

Defo getting lots of symtoms - sore breasts, so so tired, v. queasy, only really feel like eating fruit and toast, am a certified coffee-aholic but feel like there's a war going on inside whenever I think about having a cup.

Also had spotting last night so called NHS direct, who said I needed to go straight to A&E. Had loads of tests and everything seems ok, but just to check the gyno wants me to have a scan at the EPU this week... hopefully everything will show up fine!

hello lovemylittlebean, were about the same im due 3rd oct, i've have spotting and brown discharge went to the dr and she sent me straight away for a scan everything seemed ok or what they would expect for 5 wks pregnant, i got to go back in 2 wks and hopefully if all is ok i should hear a heartbeat

Hello to all new people!

I know a couple of weeks back we had the "who have you told" conversation, but was wondering if you have told more people? Now I'm pushing 7 weeks I have told a few more friends but still no-one official at work. It's proving a very hard secret to keep, especially as I used to be a diet coke fiend and now don't want any so am getting a few q's about that.

I'm off to the midwife tomorrow which am looking forward to, as it will make it all feel much more real!

Hi Penelope I told the first person on Saturday. I'm just 6+2 now. It was a drinking evening and I knew I can trust this couple not to tell. I'm thinking about organizing a referral soon. I've known for ages now but have yet to tell gp.

Just found out this morning that I'm 4 weeks gone with my second. Due on the 11th apparnetly (then again DD was due on the 11th of Oct but was born on the 21st of September!).
