I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

Due Sep 25th, my ribs are now really sore after a whole day of having them kicked - god I'm in a grump today. Sent DH to shop for chocolate Smile

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 13/08/2011 23:17

Oh no the pressure of being first, mind you princess should be there really.

ScarlettPhoenix · 14/08/2011 12:05

Hi everyone, hope those of you getting away have a lovely time! No hol for us this year, we saved our money so we could get the bathroom done instead, it's being done next week, can't wait to get into a nice new bath! We only moved into our new house in Nov so it'll be good to put our stamp on it a bit more!

ScarlettPhoenix · 14/08/2011 12:07

BTW, My due date is Sept 14th, I'm on my phone so it won't let me add it to the list!

AnnamariaHun · 14/08/2011 13:40

My due date is the 12th of sept if i can join in :)
ds2 and i can't wait. i've convinced myself that he'll come early as getting loads of braxton hicks and also abdominal pains but after reading the answer to my thread "2nd time mums! did baby come earlier and were contractions the same?" i am not so sure :(
Just finished packing my bag and done with ds2's room and most of the house work as i won't plan to do much (as an excuse of just given birth) after he's arrived :)
Now just have to pray that he gets here before all the house work needs doing again :)

Hello everyone hows it going ?

lolajane2009 · 16/08/2011 20:20

I'm good but baby won't let me sleep and even when I do it is only about 4 hours. sleep deprivation is slowly driving me mad.

Valiant1 · 16/08/2011 20:25

I haven't got that trouble yet sleeping like a baby even fell asleep in the bath with the gas men digging up the street outside the bathroom window today. Wish i could stay awake. sorry didn't mean to brag [embarrassed]

DH gone for a new job as a postman today not sure how i feel about it! I know he needs to work but has been so nice having him at home xx

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 16/08/2011 20:26

Ok but lots of tightening going on. How are you?

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 16/08/2011 20:28

I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat during the day bit come around 3ish I'm quite restless.

Fingers crossed re the job.

Valiant1 · 16/08/2011 20:37

thanx I getting a lot of tightenings too am hoping she turns before she decides to make an apperiance lol

PrincessScrumpy · 16/08/2011 22:00

Hope dh gets the job. I'm still getting some tightenings but nothing major. I sleep beautifully in the afternoon but night time is a nightmare. No idea why.

Valiant1 · 16/08/2011 22:13

Thanks hun xx Not long now Princess xx are we still in weeks or days weeks is 2 and days is 17 ;) xx I still have for eva lol hoe did your dh go on ?

summerpixie · 16/08/2011 22:26

Every day I wake up at 3-4am. I then can't get back to sleep and stay up til about 5 and read aibu threads. Dh gets up goes to work and I bed hog with the fat furry cat until ds calls for me when he wakes up at 8ish. I still feel sleepy during the day but feel like I'm neglecting my ds when I leave him with the tv on. Luckily dh gets home at 1pm. I think the insomnia is preparation for nightime feeds.
I had my last growth scan today and I'm measuring above 95th % so I'm getting another gtt done next week Sad. I'm hoping she comes early as my pubic region is killing me when I get up from sleep or sitting. Luckily it's not full on SPD.
Has anyone due in sept popped yet? Only 2 weeks til we hit sept surely somebody will start us off this week?!
On a different note, those of you who are on 2+ child do you ever worry about forgetting how to be a mum in the early stages? I mean, I was thinking the other morning how will I cope with night feeds and what do I dress her in at night, how will I know when to change her nappy at night, will I remember to wind her properly!!!!! OMG I really have too much thought time with these mornings!
Happy sleep vibes to all.

Valiant1 · 16/08/2011 22:41

I think it will just come back I hope it does my ds2 is 5 in nov and haven't had a baby in the house since so am really hoping it all just comes back!!!! think i will just try and make a routine of feed change wind/cuddle for 10 mins xxx i love been awake in the morning in bed with coffee waiting for the kids get up watching the day come in.

Princess is first i think with a cs then the race is on :) i am near the end!!!

CrazyAlien06 · 17/08/2011 08:12

Im doing ok :) Got to have blood tests every 2 weeks from beg of sept to check my platelet levels which is scaring me slightly, but hoping that I will be ok. Baby is on the move lots, thought he/she would be running out of room now.. am 33 + 3..
DH finished putting up the chest of drawers last night so I have decided I am going to iron and put away all the baby clothes we have, luckily not many lol. I haven't ironed for years so should be interesting........DH doesnt see the point but I just seem to want to do it. give it five mins then I will give up lol.
The poor dog got moved out of the spare room/nursery yday - we had to subtlety get rid of her upstairs bed lol- think she took it well :D

Sleep- erm hardly any :( takes about 20 mins to get to sleep then wake up loads.. saying that DH usually wakes me up first! Constantly exhausted!
And my back is starting to kill :( I ordered a birthing ball yday in the hope that it will help ease it by sitting properly. Sitting on the sofa is bringing severe pain so only walking around eases it which shatters me... ;(

Getting worried about the labour as well especially with platelet problem!

Roll on the safe arrival of LO!

candr · 17/08/2011 14:51

Can't remember what proper sleep is like, My DH was shocked when I made him feel the kicking I have to suffer at night, I snuggled up to him and refused to move for half hour so he got booted in the ribs like me.Wink He then got me a hot water bottle and a massage as he hadn't realised how bad it was. I feel like I have been moaning to him a lot about heart burn, vomiting, constant dodgy belly etc but am really lucky he is sympathetic and feels bad he can't help more. We are both so excited to meet our little man but want him to stay put so we can get our holiday next week but have really got to the point of exhaustian as baby just does not stop moving. Is always rolling and kicking. He was head down for scan and for MW then turns again 5 min later and is currently back to back too. MW thinks he will grow a lot in next few weeks so hopefully he will be a bit more constricted with movement as I am measuring small for 34+3 weeks. Did lots of cooking for freezer today so house smells lovely even though I don't feel like eating. Am hoping to pull off the domestic godess part by pulling out home cooked meals and pastrys when people come to visit Grin My money is on Princess too although from some of Valiants posts she may be a close 2nd. Hope you are all doing ok and having some good days too.Smile

Valiant1 · 17/08/2011 17:54

Thanks Candr i think i will be sooner rather than later too... had to be carefull standing up feel like she going fall out going for another hospital app tomorrow so will see how things go. xx my mum and sister took my youngest three for the night tonight so going snuggle up on the sofa with Twilight tonight xx up early in the morning be on the bus for 7:30 am xx

PrincessScrumpy · 17/08/2011 20:59

Had a good day today. DH's job is safe but he had a late meeting to discuss the new structure so got home 5 minutes ago - usually he comes in and does bedtime. A friend popped over for 2 hours to help and her son wore dd out. Bedtime was a doddle.

I have a scan and consultant appointment tomorrow afternoon so dh is going to take time back so he can come along.

I figure we managed to work it out the first time so hopefully it will all come back. I think we're starting to remember how bad dd was in the early weeks (she had colic and reflux). I said the other night that I wanted the babies out as I felt so rough. DH said he understood but he actually prefers them in as he's just remembered how little sleep you get with a newborn. I know this time will be very different as we'll have a 3-year-old.

ScarlettPhoenix · 17/08/2011 23:19

Had my 36 week check and baby is still head down so I'm much less stressed! I'm still getting lots of movement which is getting more and more uncomfortable but as long as I know that baby hasn't turned it's okay!

ssmile · 18/08/2011 09:58

My DH said same thing princess about dreadin the poor sleep in first 6wks, I hope your twins are gd sleepers or you can get help especially with DD. 3yrs is a lovely active age but hopefully she may help a bit too. our DD is 4 and never been a gd sleeper so we too hoping that its not a repeat performance! but she is SO excited about the baby everynight asks how many sleeps till it arrives :) &she been practicing putting nappies on her dollies putting them in mosses basket &singing to them :o 8sleeps to go now until hopefully C-sec.....

Valiant1 · 18/08/2011 11:51

Well not so good news baby still breech and she is below the 10th centile so have to go back next week and the weeks after to moniter her growth. if no change they will deliver her early xx going back to bed now will talk later xx
