I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

Had horrible night last night, felt like big bubbles popping in stomach all night and any time I tried to lie down he kicked the crap out of me so got an hour between 5 and 6 then he woke up again. For the first time thought I wouldn't mind having him early if this is going to continue. Not so hungry now but prob due to heart burn and vomiting which is fun. Am very glad that I have not had anything more serious though (friend of mine went for scan at 31 weeks and was kept in till birth with high BP so had no bags packed and nothing ready for baby) and have only gone in twice to get things checked outside all the scans, the fact I am having one every 3 weeks means I know he is fine just REALLY active. Glad you are back home Princess and hope every one else is doing ok, am just a bit grumpy at the mo.

Hi Ladies,

I know I posted this a few days ago, but if you want to there is another thread where it's getting busier, we'd love to see you in there too to share things.

Here is the other thread.

ssmile · 10/08/2011 16:49

Wow which hospital was that princess ? I had been warned there was a baby boom due to cold snowing Dec :o I'm due 3sept &with my DD the ward was v busy then we were all held until space on labour ward so I went 15d over in end. This time I'm booked C-sec so really hoping don't get held in queue again!

PrincessScrumpy · 10/08/2011 19:08

Yeovil Women's Hospital, Somerset. My CS is booked for 2nd Sept so should be fine - especially as I'm classed as high risk due to twins and their positioning. There's a danger of cord prolapse as the umbilical cord is under the breech twin1 and twin2 is transverse.

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 10/08/2011 19:10

Blimey they are desperate to get us over to that thread Grin

ssmile · 10/08/2011 23:15

Gosh hadn't realised it was yeovil down the rd. I'm booked into Exeter so guess there really is baby boom in SW! We did have a lot of snowed in days in Dec :o gd luck princess hope it all goes ok.

PrincessScrumpy · 11/08/2011 10:48

Thanks. Exeter is supposed to be good - dh works in the city and knows the hospital through work.

ssmile · 11/08/2011 12:31

I had my DD 4.5yrs at the old Exeter hospital the new one does seem to be better run &alot cleaner. Just hope they have enough post natal staff on this time. I had fab care on labour ward but wasn't that gd post natal so transfered to honiton which was excellent shame they continue to try to shut it as I couldn't fault the care at honiton nor could any of my friends. The roast dinner &apple crumble on arrival at honiton was best I'd had after being SO hungry at Exeter! This time I've packed food in labour bag :)

PrincessScrumpy · 11/08/2011 12:36

Lol at you packing food - dh bought me some fruit while I was in hospital. The food was nice but I needed fresh fruit. They had some apples in a bowl but they looked quite old.

ssmile · 11/08/2011 12:53

I was starving at Exeter it was Easter bank hol everything was shut my poor DH couldn't get anything to eat. This time I'm booked for Aug bank hol wend so we hoping its not a repeat, but Easter sun &xmas day are pretty much the only "shut" days we have now in the UK so it shouldn't be as bad!

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 11/08/2011 15:00

Am in the gps waiting room waiting for my mw appt, about to tell her I want a home birth. Seeing as I'm 36 weeks not sure what she's gonna say.

Valiant1 · 11/08/2011 15:07

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 11/08/2011 15:54

And the answer is yes! So she's coming to do the big chat

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 11/08/2011 16:21

Val, sorry on my phone si can't scroll up to find out why you think that but there are some people here who can help you stamp your feet to get it.

PrincessScrumpy · 11/08/2011 20:40

I wanted a homebirth with dd1 but dh was worried - I felt we both needed to embrace it. This time I might have gone for hb if it wasn't for twins. Hope you get what you want Valiant.

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 11/08/2011 20:55

I know what you mean princess. Really want a water birth so with the boom coming thought it would be the only way. Oh yeah and I'm worried it's gonna be really quick so would rather have a planned homebirth!

Valiant1 · 11/08/2011 21:20

Valiant1 · 11/08/2011 21:23

Valiant1 · 11/08/2011 21:23

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 11/08/2011 21:24

ScarlettPhoenix · 11/08/2011 23:45

Glad to hear that it's not too late to change our minds about our plans, can't believe the time is flying by so fast! I am seeing my midwife for the 36 week check on Tuesday, do you continue to see them every 2 weeks or every week after that?

CrazyAlien06 · 12/08/2011 08:18

Hi ladies, hope u are all well. I'm bit worrie as for letter from hospital saying I have low platelet count from my last bloods ( that I took myself to have done as basically doing my own antenatal care!) got to have a repeat blood test at the end of the month... Spoke to a mw after my antenatal class and she said it means my blood isn't up to clotting properly so I may have to have blood on on standby. Terrified me :( have my 32 wk check sometime this afternoon ( bloody mws asked if I can just call up when I am free this afternoon and see if she is available as they can't do my 9 o'clock appreciate now) I was looking forward to hearing babys hb and finding out which way he/she is lying... Oh well hopefully I ll be able to see someone later today.

Sorry for me, me, me rant :-(

Not Long left for a lot of u!!:0)
Me and DH went to NCT class weds evening and got them all weekend! Fun fun fun,
On a lighter note my nursery furniture just arrived ! Now to wait for DH to build it......

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 12/08/2011 08:59
