I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

CrazyAlien06 · 23/07/2011 20:34

Hey valiant, I have got a few bits for my hospital bag, but still not sure what exactly I'll need to take! Hoping antenatal classes will shed some light on this subject for me lol.
Also havent ordered nursery furniture yet although have Moses basket! I'm getting totally confused as to what we need sleepsuit/babygrows/vest top wise lol

lolajane2009 · 23/07/2011 20:49

I've mostly done mine because i am concerned over his growth, although he is very active. Only need bras, pants and nipple cream i think now.

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 23/07/2011 21:08

God no, doing my bag would mean he's nearly here and he's not coming till the month after next [stamps foot]

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 23/07/2011 21:11

Oh and dh found my gym ball [bouncy]

CrazyAlien06 · 23/07/2011 21:26

There are so many lists on here and over the internet about what to pack I have lost the plot with them all lol

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 23/07/2011 21:30

Agreed and half of it you might never need. It's worth doing two, one you need for labour/birth and for incase you have to stay in. The dp can collect the second from the car if needed.

Btw make sure you take done flash/dettol wipes.

Valiant1 · 24/07/2011 11:53

candr · 28/07/2011 17:50

Have tried to get bag organised but am going away for 4 days and now it is mixed up with holiday stuff. Have got car seat and base in car as it takes up room in house and bag with baby bits. What snacks are people putting in? Have started having bad heartburn which makes me throw up if I eat more than 3 or 4 mouth fulls of food which is really annoying as I am quite hungry. It is stopping me going to other peoples houses or out for meals just as I am on mat leave and wanting to socialise. Have been eating Rennies as HATE Gaviscon - any ideas to help would be welcome. Cant believe it could only be 8 weeks or so away. Am getting very excited along with the odd cold sweat of fear.

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 28/07/2011 18:22

Had my mw appt today and ds is no longer breech. Had just started to like the idea of a csection cause I'm so knacked Blush

Valiant1 · 28/07/2011 18:51

i keep cleaning lol windows washed, bed steam cleaned and bedding all done today.. am hoping baby comes early so am saying only 6 /7 weeks left wishfull thinking lol bags ready, house nearly ready.

CrazyAlien06 · 28/07/2011 20:52

Hey everyone :) seems we are all getting organised < ignores the fact that nursery furniture has only just been ordered and spare room is piles high with baby stuff and nowhere for it to be stored yet lol>
baby is becoming a right wriggler! Constantly at it when I am sitting still which I am loads as it's too warm!
Getting niggles really low which tickle! And wriggles by my ribs- all fun and games lol

I'm off to visit my grandparents in a few weeks and hoping I don't go into labour that early as DH isn't coming with me and it's up north and we are down south..... Hopefully will go to full term :0) if not it ll be a flight up north for DH!!

I'm getting really scared now about the whole labour thing :( start antenatal classes next week and hoping they will make me feel better as I'll feel more
Knowledgeable about it but I also know it will make me feel worse lol.

I can't believe it's less than 10 weeks for me until my due date - it's crazy!

Valiant1 · 29/07/2011 14:56

I am sooo organised i manged get most of the kids uniforms today in the sale a Marks and spencers!!!! all they need now is shoes for the boys and a few more shirts for Genevieve. ready for baby just need put things together but not doing that till the 20th of august as we haven't the room and may fingers crossed be moving xx hope all are well taught my little two to ride their bikes today with no stabelizers am well impressed xx now to go wait for the food shopping and have a snozze xxxxxx

CrazyAlien06 · 29/07/2011 20:05

Aww well done to your little Knesset valiant
My baby is constantly moving lately! Right Mover ! Find it very peculiar- hunk it's because I am spending most of my days chilling nowadays lol. Stretching everyday too :S
Can't wait for nursery furniture to be delivered as I'm starting to wash baby clothes and reusable nappies tomorrow woooo ( bored of doing everything in baby related lol) I'll have to store them into a bag until furniture arrives though lol

Having a slight panic as not had the lucozade challenge test- called mw and they said I should have had it and I need to sort it.. Erm if I hadn't got afriend at same hospital also pregnant I wouldn't even know about it! Called various hospital wards and no answer at any so that's reassuring !

Hope u all have a nice weekend :) I'm washing tomorrow and off to bluewater Sunday!

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 29/07/2011 20:21

I wonder who will be the first one of us to hive birth? Grin

CrazyAlien06 · 30/07/2011 17:00

ooooo Valiant! does that mean baby could be on its way?

PrincessScrumpy · 30/07/2011 19:07

Back from hols - twins are due 22 Sept but will be havig cs at 37w (1st week Sept - if they don't arrive beforehand). I'm sure they'll arrive on 11 Aug - no reason at all just a dram I had Confused

Cornwall was lovely and swimming in the sea was great for my back - can't beleive how hot it was. I bought a light dress from Asda as I was so hot and the 16 was too big so ended up in a 14 (obviously it is a floaty dress so had room for my bump - made me feel better as I feel like a whale).

Valiant1 · 30/07/2011 19:07

with ds my plug came away and he wasn't born for two weeks but with dd she was 36+6 so i just wating till Monday see how i go we are ready and i think she will be ok if she came now. fingers crossed she doesn't though. feel bad now for wishing her here early :( from what i reading (google is so bad) she will be fine. and the plug thing isn't allways bad and it can reform! like i say feet up brew all good.xx

Valiant that's exciting - you could be first. Princess glad you had a nice holiday, am looking forward to my 4 days in Dorset but is only 3 weeks before due date so hope I am not too early, due 25th Sep. DH wants it to be different day as 25th is his birthday. Am loving not having school planning to do.
