I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

Hello all I have found half an hour to sit and go through my e-mails and have a catch up on here xx
We had alovely holiday Devon is a lovely place. We did some walking we walked from the caravan park to Exmouth twice and to Budleigh once as it was really far and very upy downy lol. kids loved it feel really relaxed and ready for a week from hell this week! I have the dentist monday and the jobcenter then Tuesday i am at the Hospital for my Anti D, GTT and 28 week bloods then sports day Wednesday. Thursday i am back at the Hospital for my 28 week scan and consultant meeting then Friday I have the landlord coming to look at his "Stock" to see if i can have a new kitchen bathroom central heating etc so busy busy then i have to go shopping for baby the week after as we have no clothes for the poor thing lol hope everyone ok and is ready for the holidays.

PrincessScrumpy · 10/07/2011 21:26

crazyalien What nappies are you after? I have some lovely totbot bamboozles. I used them with Motherease wraps but them my tumble dryer broke and we ended up using the wraps to stop leaks with disposables. The nappies are still fab though if you're interested. I can't remember if there are 8 or 10 of them, and there are 2 booster pads. Without a tumble dryer, husband who will use them (everytime he changed dd she ended up in Pampers) and with twins I really don't think they'll get used in this household.

Appart from feeling tired I actually feel better no than I did 4 weeks ago - possibly as I can see the end coming. 1 1/2 weeks of work left then we're off to Cornwall for a week. I can't wait.

Valiant glad you enjoyed Devon - did you go to the Donkey Sanctuary?

We (I) bought the babies first babygros - we have lots of dd's clothes but I wanted their first ones to be new. I love them and bought the up to 7.5lbs ones. DD was 6lb 14oz full term so should be safe with that size.

Valiant1 · 11/07/2011 16:28

No Princess we did Country life and Bickton Park. We were really stuck as we had no car and the buss was so expensive and took so long. we had a fab time though and are looking into Park Dean next year, have yo herd of them? were abouts are you princess? We went to Sidmouth on one of the days was lovely on the pebble beach. have a long day tomorrow am at the hospital all day for GTT and bloods and Anti d fun fun xxx

PrincessScrumpy · 11/07/2011 17:08

I had anti d on Tuesday - oh the fun. Hospital has messed up my next appointment. I have to go every other Thursday for a scan then see the consultant immediately after. The main thing the scan looks for is to check the babies are growing at the same rate - no twin to twin transfusion. I get to book 3 in a row and so it was booked for 11am each time. I got a letter on Saturday telling me my scan was at 3pm. This would mean taking dd with me but I can cope with that. I called to check the consultant was seeing me then too as I thought he only did Thursday mornings. That seemed to puzzle them and I had to explain that there was no point having a scan after the consultant app as he would want to see the results before seeing me. His secretary isn't in until tomorrow so they're going to check then what's happening. I know it's silly but I just don't need this hassle. The scan said it was 30w scan for multiple pg so they know why I'm having it so should have known about the consultant app as it's standard proceedure. Grrrr, bas start to the week.

We're in South Somerset and always go to the beaches in Dorset. DH works in Exeter and my parents live in the middle of Devon miles from everything. Love the south west - couldn't move back to the South East now! Grin

Lollyheart · 11/07/2011 20:12

What a pain princess maybe you are booked to see his registrar,
when I saw a consultant at 20 weeks because I had b strep in my last pregnancy, she wanted me to have more scans to check the growth, she wasn't interested in b strep. After my first growth scan at 28 weeks I saw her registrar who said I don't Need growth scans but wanted to test me for b strep Hmm

Has anyone decided on names yet?

Jojo1983 · 11/07/2011 20:46

Hey everyone, Had my anti d injection last week aswell as my glucose test which thankfully came back ok also had an extra scan and was told again that I'm going to have a big baby. Booked in for another scan @ 30 weeks to see just how big they think baby will be. Had a week off of work went back today and had so many parents (work in a nursery) tell me how big Ihave got really great for the confidence!
3 more weeks left for me and defo counting down the days the 2 year olds I work with have far too much energy for me!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Valiant1 · 12/07/2011 18:58

What a day! The hospital are pants, they booked me in today for the GTT, so i go and sit there and have the bloods done. All good then i say have you done the 28 week bloods? the midwife spoke to the reception lady and she said you would do it together! nope they don't do had to wait for a midwife to come free so i have that done and my second bloods for the GTT. Then she says you can go when you ready! I was like what about the ANIT d? that tomorrows clinic!!!!!!! no i was told you would do it today! so i have to wait while they run round moaning about me to everyone that passes!!!! finally get it done and leave the hopital 3 and a half hours after i got there. The best thing is i am back there Thursday for a scan and consultant check! why couldn't they do it in one day? save them and me time and money!!!!!!! and breath..... since getting home i keep falling asleep! am shattered!

We have chosen Abbygail Julie (Hubby wants to shorten to AJ i not to sure) for ou little girl xx:)
any body else got names?

Lollyheart · 12/07/2011 19:51

I can't decide on names, it's so hard, at the mo we like Isabel and Harry but don't love them like I did with my other 3, we have a few we like so will just have to wait and see what s/he looks likeSmile

PrincessScrumpy · 12/07/2011 19:53

We've got Heidi Matilda and either Kitty Alice or Alice Kitty depending on what suits her best and how brave we feel. My family will love Kitty as it's a family name but not used for a couple of generations but dh's family like names like Tracey so will probably get odd looks.... adds to the fun [hgrin]

PrincessScrumpy · 12/07/2011 19:56

valiant I had similar re anti d - was told they'd do it at my normal appointment but turned out they had to do the blood test first and get the results so I then had to go back 5 days later for the injection. grrrr.

CrazyAlien06 · 12/07/2011 22:22

Hey everyone, we ve got William if it's a boy and struggling for girls name! Sienna is my fav at the mo though.
I have my 28 wk mw appt Friday and 28 wk scan!
Does everyone have GTT and anti-d?

I finished work today...well still have bits to drop back at school and compile! Never ending but looking forward to little sleep in tomoz before going for my first ever filling :( hate the numbness of anything so petrified of it At the mo as I usually faint!

Lollyheart · 13/07/2011 07:28

I think you only get the anti d if you are - blood group.
I had a gtt but only because of family history of dieabetes sp?

CrazyAlien06 · 14/07/2011 18:09

hey thanks lollyheart I am sure I will find out at the mw tomoz!
Looking forward to seeing baby tomorrow on 28 week scan but still slightly nervous! Hopefully all is growing well :)

Valiant1 · 14/07/2011 19:19

Anti D is if you and your hubby have different blood groups hun x

had my 28 week scan today and she is breech i am not worried yet as my ds2 was breech till 36 weeks. we got to the scan and he had turned round never felt him but hey ho x I asked about the sparkly bits i keep getting in my eyes and she said just sit and rest! ok easyer said than done! this is baby number 4 and i have a step daughter to sort for uni!!!! never mind get to go back in 5 weeks and see bubs again xx

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 14/07/2011 20:23

Another one whose been told today bump is breech, I'm 32 weeks so fingers crossed. But has explained why I've been getting the feelings I have.

Mw has also insisted I see the gp tomorrow as she thinks my symptoms are anxiety/depression Sad but have had a chat with dh tonight who has been amazing. He has said all the right things and I do feel a bit better already.

lolajane2009 · 15/07/2011 14:45

31 weeks today and freaked out a bit by the danielle lloyd story, especially as it seems she was due the same week as me. I have been discharged from 2 of my 3 consultants as all is fine. Had Gtt and test result was fine (4 and 5) but baby had a boogie at the liquid.

Valiant1 · 16/07/2011 11:15

What happend with Danielle Lyod?.

Had really bad dream last night dreamt the baby was born early and was in the nicu and there was another baby and her mum wasn't there and she was crying all the time, so i asked a nurse if i could help as dh was with our baby and the told me to mind my own business and she just had to stay in her cot and cry as they were busy. So i complained about the nurses and there attitude and when i came in the next day she had gone. when i asked what had happend i was told to leave matters alone that didn't concern me! was horrible kept thinking is that how they treat my baby when i not here? thankfully it was a dream and fingers crossed the nurses are not like that, but what a weird dream.

lolajane2009 · 16/07/2011 13:21

she has just had her baby at 30 weeks pregnant. Last time I looked he was on a SCBU.

Valiant1 · 16/07/2011 14:36

oh thinking of her xx poor little thing xx

PrincessScrumpy · 17/07/2011 15:15

I'm suprised Danielle Lloyd's baby is in SCBU not NICU - I was told SCBU is for over 34w old babies so it's good news if they've already moved the baby out of NICU.

I'm so glad to be passed the 30w mark but dh is starting to worry about out week in Cornwall in a week's time. I think he thinks the twins are coming any day - I am measuring full term for a single baby and am not sure how much bigger my body can take.

candr · 17/07/2011 15:57

Princess, my friend has twin girls called Kitty and Alice - very cute names. Have chosed name but are not telling yet, think it will take my mum a bit of getting used to as is unusual. Baby been very active this weekend but do not think he is head down yet although getting lots of kicks under ribs there are lots of somersaults happening. Did not realise they were supposed to turn at 30 weeks, still have time though.

lolajane2009 · 17/07/2011 17:16

yes neonatal (NICU). sorry baby brain.

paternal · 17/07/2011 19:23

How is everybody? We're 33 weeks today, Yay!!!! he's kicking so hard and so often. But we have been told we may be induced early as the placenta is looking old apparently. we had a 32 week growth scan and the outcome of that was. Placental lakes are 20% of placental mass. (don't know either) we have another scan in 3 weeks, just to make sure the placenta is transferring enough oxygen and nutrients to the baby. If not they will induce or CS.

CrazyAlien06 · 17/07/2011 22:52

Hey paternal I'm ok, Dh been a drunken, selfish idiot all weekend so that's been stressful but I've just stored it in my nights owed out after baby arrives memory :0) I'll get him back hahahahaha
Anyway, 29 weeks here today and baby constantly moving ! Seemed to enjoy watching transformers at cinema this evening :0)
Had 28 wk scan Friday- was interesting as they only take certain measurements for the research project so not really much they could tell me. Although sonographer did say that he/she has very long legs! ( I'm 5ft 10", DH 6th 4") we ll have to cut some holes in the end of the Moses basket haha.
I'm getting impatient now... Want baby here, even though haven't got anything ready lol. Have all the stuff piled up in a corner just need to finish sorting or getting rid of all the rubbish I have accumulated over the years! Pretty hard to do all the lifting with increasing bump! Oh well must be done.

Ordered the reusable nappies at silly o clock his morning, so now have the minimal stuff needed if he/she comes earlier than expected.
Sorry for the ramble! Hope u are all well x
