I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

Work were chasing my matb1 form from 19w! I told them I couldn't get it until 20w. I called my gp and left a message so I could just pick it up.

candr · 14/06/2011 20:04

I wasn't allowed form till I was 25 weeks. Was strange filling in form as you have to say if you are 'thinking' of leaving. Makes it seem more final. Will really miss my school as don't plan on going back there but can visit with baby. Will be so strange having a summer holiday with no planning to do - looking forward to it though.

PrincessScrumpy · 15/06/2011 21:38

DH had to put on his paternity form my due date (22 Sept) and the dates he wanted to take as leave, which was 2nd week of sept as twins will be born by 38w He had to explain though as HR were confused why he wanted to be off before the babies were here.

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 16/06/2011 06:36

Princess that's so funny.

Lollyheart · 16/06/2011 10:18

Some people really don't think do they.

I think I'm nesting early, my house has never been so clean and tidy Grin

paternal · 19/06/2011 18:41

So this is our little man. he is normally always awake but can you believe it, the one time we need him awake, he's sleeping!!! Grrrrrr........ He looks like he's going to have a huge conker. :) mothers trait!

CrazyAlien06 · 19/06/2011 18:51

thats great paternal

How is everyone?
I have not had much movement today, been worried sick but when i got home and had a lay down he/she started kicking, I thought he/she was in a different position so thats a relief. Didnt want to go to hospital as would be up there all the time! plus Ive felt different sorts of movement so guess its all ok. checked with doppler and heartbeat all ok ,

summerpixie · 19/06/2011 19:45

I know what you mean about feeling a bit anxious when you don't feel much movement and not wanting to go to Hospital, crazyAlien. I don't really feel movements when I am upright but once I'm sat down or lying down she moves like she's at a rave! I had an ice -cream today (and most other days, too) and she seems to like them. 'Gives me a good booting.
Work has been quite easy but my Year 12's are coming back this week :( 5 more lessons a week! I really shouldn't complain as I think I have quite an easy timetable now compared to others.

I've been spending the evenings planning DS's b'day party in July. It will be his last as an only child so I want him to have a special one. As per usual, I am the only one planning and doing things for it. DH has made no effort to help out and on top of that he made things worse by wasting the gold paper I had for the invites. Grrrr... why are men so crap at these things?!!
Anyway, I've blahhed on enough. Hope everyone else is doing good and bubs are all well.

yummymango · 20/06/2011 08:55

Hi everyone - is it ok to join this thread? A bit late I know....

I am 26 weeks, expecting a little girl at the end of September and so excited!! Feeling big though now and can't believe I have another 3 months of growing to go.

Congratulations to all! :-)

Valiant1 · 20/06/2011 16:25

lolajane2009 · 20/06/2011 16:52

lol i'm pretty peed off with my midwife too. she told my psychatrist that I was anorexic after I told her I was worried about eating too much. I am eating a lot and after busting my butt and losing 7 stone pre preg I thought it was concerning that I was eating whatever I wanted and was worried I was eating compulsively.

I have gained 2 stone till this week and 11 inches so I am definately eating lol.

Pretty peeved and have to see her on Thursday.

candr · 20/06/2011 19:07

He He, not just me starting to get ratty at what would normally seem like a little thing. My head teacher is driving me nuts and giving me even more work (things that are her job but she is delegating) - 5 weeks of term and counting. Have done a couple more school trips and each one gets harder, have 2 more to go. Am feeling baby move as soon as I sit still and especially at night but it is almost hurting at times and tummy feels like stretched drum with stitch like pains, is ths normal cause like you guys my MW is crap and never reachable. Am not eating as much as a few weeks ago but I guess there is a bit less room in there now. Any other teachers getting slightly worried about the whole summer ahead being fat and a bit immobile. Love the idea of break with no planning but none of my friends teach so do not know what to do with myself and worried I will be really bored as not due till end of Sep?

summerpixie · 20/06/2011 19:39

candr enjoy the time to yourself. Just sit and relax and every now and again wash and iron the baby clothes! I have a DS to deal with this time but I've not done any digging out of old clothes, crib etc. I intend to do that when the Summer hols start.
You're all mentioning MW. Erm.. remind me who they are again!!! I saw A MW at my booking appointment. I've not seen or heard from another since. I am due to go and visit the dragons next week for my GTT, though. I much prefer to see my GP anyway. He cares more about my pregnancy than any MW would.
I had a GP appt today and my blood sugars are raised (had had a bottle of Apple Juice, 3 starbursts and 5 mini pain au chocolates before going :o ) So, now he wants me to get a blood test done seeing as GTT is a week away. I like blood tests, I have bets with my DH as to how many times it will take them to eventually draw blood. Anyway, work p'd me off, as soon as I got in I got given a bloody cover! I'd purposely booked my appt during my gained time and I return to be given a punishment of a cover during my FREE lesson! So, in revenge I am now booking all appointments when I will need to be covered. I try to be reasonable and I get it shoved back in my face! Grrrr.
Hope this trimester gets better for everyone and we don't all get too angry with the hormones!
p.s Welcome YummyMango.

PrincessScrumpy · 24/06/2011 19:40

I've decided I'm clearly quite a paranoid person - on Wednesday I hadn't felt the girls move which is really unusual. I ended up going to the labour ward at 2pm and the hbs were fine. They gave me a kick chart to fill in but with work and dd1 it's pretty hard to remember when I reach 10 and mark it on a chart so I've bought a count the kicks braclet. I think dh thinks I'm mad but was happy to appease me for the price of £4.50!

At my school the union reps negotiated that no staff member should be asked to cover unless it is in their timetable and gained time from year 11 leaving cannot be touched.

Really looking forward to my next scan on Thursday. dh has been to 5 but works an hour away and cannot always get away, so I've invited my mum. She lives an hour and a half away but is coming up for the scan, then I've got to go back to work but she's going to come and pick up dd with me after so she knows where nursery is incase she has to pick dd up when I go into labour.

I'm buying all my hospital bag stuff this weekend - so excited and glad to have reached 27+1w. 4 more weeks until summer holidays so I'm hoping babies stay put for at least 5 more weeks as I'm off to Cornwall for the 1st week of the hols.

I'm off to cook a very unhealthy dinner involving sausages and chips (possibly peas so I can say it includes veg). Thank goodness it's Friday! Grin

PrincessScrumpy · 24/06/2011 19:41

Hi YummyMango welcome to the thread x

candr · 25/06/2011 12:03

Yep, on the 4 weeks countdown of term. Have found myself getting a little snappy over silly things with class then overlly proud when they do well - hormones! Have got week in cornwall (3 hour drive) with family booked for end of Aug which is 3 weeks before due date - am slightly worried it may be a bad idea - any tips?

Lollyheart · 25/06/2011 16:58

Is anyone else's hormones raging? I'm so angry all the time and the littlest things Piss me off AngryGrin

Today is a bad day!

PrincessScrumpy · 25/06/2011 17:58

dd decided to hyave a huge melt down in the shoe shop. I was so upset by it and we ended up going to another shop so didn't have time for me to go to Next to get the twins coming home outfits or Boots to buy all my pads etc. I came home in a huge sulk even though dd had said sorry. I've cheered up a bit but still teary and tired. Sad for dh as he only has one day off this weekend and dd's been pretty horrible.

candr · 30/06/2011 19:56

Had scan no 4 today, fluid levels still elevated so still chance of DS but not so upsetting this time as there were no shocks that we had not expected. Got next one at 31 weeks. Said baby would weigh between 6-8lb when born - was just pleased she did not say 9-10. He is definaltly moving a lot more and could see he was more squished than before. Is really not keen on me sleeping (in any position) so not sure how will get through next 12 or so weeks. Only 3 weeks of school left though and its going fast. Hope every one else is doing ok x

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 30/06/2011 20:06

So glad I'm not the only one getting pissed off!

Lollyheart · 30/06/2011 20:49

candr it must be a worry, my friend was also at risk of her baby having ds because she had a lot of fluid but she had her baby on Tuesday and all is ok Smile

Been getting what I think are Braxton hicks, I'm not to sure tho as never had them before.

PrincessScrumpy · 01/07/2011 18:18

Lollyheart I've had loads of bh - never had them with dd so one evening they were pretty strong and I said to dh "I don't think I'm in labour but ..." Obv wasn't but I mentioned them to my consultant who said "oh yes you get them from 30w onwards!" I'm 28w and have had them for 2 weeks. Mind you she also told me I couldn't have a cs and that the twins had their own placentas - I pointed out that cs was agreed before dh and I conceived due to dd1's birth and that twins do share 1 placenta. She was adamant I was wrong until eventually she checked my notes (where it is clearly written) and said "oh no, you are right. That's fine" She's the first person who's been that bad. I really felt like yelling "Read my notes then come and start again!"

Lollyheart · 08/07/2011 19:00

Bump

Valiant1 · 08/07/2011 19:26

Lollyheart · 09/07/2011 11:51
