I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

Big hug for you Candr. The not knowing must be horrible. I hope everything works out and your lo is just fine, but if baby has got downs I'm sure you'll be a fantastic mum. x

I didn't plan to be so organised I just made a passing comment to the manager asking if she could let me know how much I would be looking at and she checked the book and realised how full they are (I know it's popular but still!)

Valiant1 · 28/05/2011 14:14

Hope your ok candr

I'm having a crap day, got to write class reports and have no idea
What I'm doing! DH is out for his end of season do all day so perfect conditions to get it all done but it's stressing me out! I feel so stressed at the moment it's not good at all :-( we ve had to take our house off the Market as I can't cope with the fact we won't be moving as I finish work in 6 weeks. So we are trying to get it cosy for little ones arrival.

Am meeting DH later to watch the presentation of awards but don't really feel up to it. Am shattered and constantly stressed :( need a hug from
DH:) sorry for the rant people
X

Sumi76 · 28/05/2011 15:49

Hope you are doing ok candr. My prayers with you.

I had a bit of a scare yesterday. Woke up with a black discharge on my pantyliner at 6 am. Called my consultant and arranged for a scan at 11 am and all was good (touchwood) But they could give me no explaination and said can happen again. Its really unnerving :(

candr · 28/05/2011 20:14

Feel for you crazy, had to do all 32 of mine too, gets hard to be original in areas, thank god for spell check too though it balked at some of the names in my class. Thanks for kind thoughts guys. Because we are trying to be matter of fact about it with family to not have them stress they all keep saying a least it's not bad news, it coud be worse etc which I know is true but it almost feels like I am the only one who is worried and stressed so was nice to get some sympathy from you rather than it will all be fine, so cheers x

Valiant1 · 30/05/2011 11:49

(i think he having a sneeky mcdonalds when i at college ;) never mind hope we all ok xx

MumToSophie · 30/05/2011 12:07

Hiya, I haven't posted on this thread in ages so I have been trying to read through it all and catch up.
I had my scan at the end of April and found out I'm having another girl :) I've got a proper little bump now and feeling baby kick lots, I love it.
Hope all you ladies are keeping well!

PrincessScrumpy · 30/05/2011 12:08

DD spent half an hour this morning whispering to the babies through my tummy button that she loves them. So cute.

Am fed up at not being able to tax my car - I've always done it online but they cannot verify my insurance as it is due 1 June. I have automatic renewal on my Aviva insurance and they've emailed me with my certificate so now I'll have to go to the stupid post office and queue! I can't go Tuesday as I have a funeral and will be in Devon all day so I'll have to do it Wednesday which is when it's due - not sure if that's illegal or not. So cross at having to face so many hurdles in order to pay money to the Government.

On the plus side, dd is entertaining herself this morning after helping me bake a cake. And I'm feeling really well - I'd forgotten how entertaining it is to watch you tummy when pg. DH and I were giggling our heads off last night watching all the movement.

Valiant1 · 30/05/2011 12:19

dh says you may get a fine if you leave it sorry hun xx can you not go to a post office in devon tuesday

Lollyheart · 30/05/2011 14:30

Bookmarking and catching up Smile

summerpixie · 30/05/2011 21:19

princess AFAIK you can renew it on the same day. If you get caught you just prove to them that you are going to the PO to buy the Road Tax. It is unlikely that you will be fined if you are renewing on the day. Best thing to do is to leave the car on your drive on Wednesday until you get the tax disc as there'll be no accusations of your car being on the road whilst untaxed. Hope that makes sense.

PrincessScrumpy · 01/06/2011 10:07

Thatnks - I managed to get it done yesterday in my parent's tiny village post office so I can relax a bit.

NatzCNL · 02/06/2011 21:00

Hello, just a fleeting post to say we had a scan today (24 weeks) and found out we are expecting our third girl! Very happy and at the same time a little sad that there will never be a son. Just so happy she is healthy and growing well. Getting lots of kicks, some quite hard and painful at times.

DD's are excited about having a baby sister, although DD1 did pout and say 'but I said I wanted a brother'.... oh dear. She snapped out of it pretty quick when we told her she could help pick dresses for the baby. Grin

Hope everyone is well x

Valiant1 · 03/06/2011 08:38

hello all last day of half term and am having a nightmear! Somebody tried to break in last weekend and then on wednesday night someone smashed all my fence panels in. am in a council house so they will get fixed but have told them i want a move its getting too much. we go away in a few weeks and now am really worried about going as am leaving my house :(. wew are insured but still wrrys me x any ways hope everyone ok xx I just shouted downstairs and made the baby jump lolx

PrincessScrumpy · 03/06/2011 16:21

Valiant - that sounds rubbish. Could you leave sentimental stuff with a friend while you're away?

We had our 24w scan on Thursday. Babies are doing well, 1lb 4oz and 1lb 5oz. Feeling big today but spent most of the afternoon with my feet in a paddling pool. DD is in the mood for following my orders and so took a small bucket of water and chucked it at DH - hilarious. I'm easily amused. We're at the in-laws so dh had to borrow shorts. Grin

candr · 03/06/2011 22:47

Valiant that sounds really stressful, can you alert the police to the fact you are going away so they keep closer eye on your place as you have just had attempted break in and like Princess suggest move all valuables out whilst away?, really hope you get to move soon. Princess a paddling pool sounds more successful than my pond, had goldfish nibbling feet but not in that pedicure theraputic way more of a ahhh that hurt way, not sure the newts liked my feet invading their space either. Have a feeling I may spend a lot of the summer hols sat in my friends pool (wonder if I will find floating on back eaiser with big boyant belly?) Have no idea what size baby is but sure has big kicks and head feels enormous when pressing where I don't want it.

Valiant1 · 04/06/2011 17:02

going to move the stuff have asked a friend to have it got a ploice man coming to do an assesment on the "situation" will see how it goes x we have seen a shop today with seats in that have fish in a bowl that nibble at yourfeet!!!!!! feeling big movements too very exiciting xxxx

Valiant1 · 06/06/2011 13:16

Were has everybody gone? hope all ok xxx

Jojo1983 · 06/06/2011 16:58

Have two extra scans coming up @ 28 weeks and 31 weeks so will find out if they are going to change the date.

Valiant1 · 07/06/2011 17:08

PrincessScrumpy · 07/06/2011 19:23

Hi all, 2 days of work and I'm shattered. I really am counting down. Doesn't help that I keep getting asked by all the teachers when I'm going on mat leave - when I say "not until the summer hols as I'm not due until Sept" they look very shocked and sympathetically at my sizeable bump. Maybe I'll send an all-users email to stop them asking.

I think dh and I are going to the lovely baby shop in Dorset on Saturday to order some things - very exciting. I wanted to be at least 24w and I'll be 25w. Don't want to leave it much longer or I'll be too tired to care.

Jojo - I was told the only accurate dating scan is the 12w one so I haven't heard of them changing the date. Speak to your mw if you're concerned as they know about these things more than the sonographer ime.

Jojo1983 · 07/06/2011 21:04

Thank you and I will do got a busy hospital day on the 30th got my glucose test in the morning followed by a scan at lunch time then midwifes after that! Better make sure i have enough money for the car park that day lol

Im also counting down the days left at work I work in a private day nursery in charge of the 2-3 room working 7.30-6 with a 3 hour journey every day i must be mad!Roll on the 1st august when i can put my feet up.

CrazyAlien06 · 08/06/2011 07:36

hey everyone :D
All good here, regularly feeling grub lol. Hating work as I have a woman who is making my life a misery so taken the choice to avoid her unless necessary and then get spoken to by headteacher as to why Im not really being friendly! I was very assertive and told her the reasons why- she doesnt respect me and has undermined me so many times. should be fun at work today!
I have 24 days to go until I finish at my work and I CANNOT WAIT TO GET OUT WOOOOOOOOOO :D I have a feeling that these next few weeks will drag though :(
I am really really wanting to order and buy nursery stuff but not sure when too! Don't want to tempt fate still! My Mum is buying the pram and wont order it until baby is here lol.
DH is busy doing the house up :D and we have a brand new kitchen being fitted in September, fingers crossed I wont go into labour early! (EDD 2nd Oct) or I will have three builders taking me to hospital haha.

Im feeling ok , hayfever is starting though so off to docs this afternoon to find out what I can take if anything as I suffer really really badly.
Am trying to stay positive to get through work but its really hard, I have 27 reports to write and no time to do them really! By the time I get home I am exhausted :(

Hope you are all well :) Not long left now!!Just under 17 weeks for me......... scary stuff!

Valiant1 · 08/06/2011 18:58
