I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

hi, sorry for late post but been busy marking shed loads of tests all evening :(

all ok at scan :D got 17 photos all for free lol bonus of being involved in a research study!
everything is normal, baby did do a 'loser' sign at us lol , he/she put their hand up against their forehead and stuck a finger out , got a fab photo of that! (will put it on my profile!) and another of its legs, profile feet etc,

we didnt find out what we are having, DH did ask if we should during the scan which shocked me as he was the one who 100% didnt want too know lol. He said he is glad that I said no now that he is home as he would have regretted finding out.

now feel more relieved and can relax a bit and look at baby stuff without worrying too much, next scan is at 28 weeks :D

Took class on trip to wildlife park today, lovely but very tiring, am dreading 3 day residential next week. Was told not to touch any animals due to being pg! Have repeat scan on Thurs so keeping fingers crossed. x

grats valiant... i remember finding out the sex of this LO and smiling for days, although even 4 years lter I am still v. happy.

Had a bad night last night as I woke up with stomach pains and I think i ate something bad as I had really bad diarroheao. Not nice!

baby was very active today and even kicked hubby's hand so not really worried but being more careful now. I had the same in 1st trimester too when I went from constipation to loose bowels. Oh the joys!!

Lollyheart · 23/05/2011 19:12

Awww a little girl Smile what do you have now? I'm tempted to find out at my 28 week scan.

I get bad stomachaches which turns into runny poo and the pain makes me be sick, funny tho I wasn't sick with my other labours.

Valiant1 · 23/05/2011 19:32

PrincessScrumpy · 23/05/2011 20:09

Congratss Valiant, glad it went well. Lots of baby girls in September then. I've only seen one boy on this thread! Time for the girls to take over the world. Grin

lolajane2009 · 23/05/2011 20:36

it seems same as the thread i am on another site... not many boys atm.

candr · 23/05/2011 20:47

Not just me with the dodgy belly then, thank goodness though don't wish it on anyone. Congrats Valiant glad it went well. Did you have an idea of the sex yourself before? I thought mine was a boy so was not surprised - just a feeling of the odds being in tht favour since there are so many baby girls around. Am quite pleased to be in a minority for a change though some girls outfits are sooooo cute. Hope my kid likes being dressed in oranges and greens etc as am not a blue fan (blame the hippy parents, lots of orange cord and flares that i just can't seem to get out of my system) Hope everyone else is doing fine, have scan on Thurs so hope levels are where they want them this time.

lolajane2009 · 23/05/2011 20:59

lol i knew my LO was a boy too.. no idea why but I just knew. Girls clothes are lovely and so sad I'll never be plaiting hair, especially as my hair is extremely long.

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 23/05/2011 22:15

Another boy here too.
Glad it went well.

Sumi76 · 24/05/2011 10:58

PrincessScrumpy · 27/05/2011 19:07

I asked at dd's nursery today how much it would be for the two babies as dd started there at 3 so gets term time only which they don't do for babies. The lovely owner is working it out for me but I don't think it'll be worth me working. I have to go back for 3 months though to get good mat pay so they will need nursery for that time. The owner checked her bookings and only has 3 spaces for babies left in Sept 2012 so I've booked them in (now she only has one space). Honestly, the babies aren't even born and I've had to organise it - don't even live in London!

candr · 27/05/2011 21:06

Wow princess, that is very organised. Had repeat scan yesterday (22+4) to see if fluid levels in brain had leveled out but they now say that they are still over so we have an increased risk of Downs which was a real shock as I thought that was ruled out when 12 week scan was clear. She said there were none of the other markers for Downs so the risk is small but we won't know till he is born as she said she would not reccommend Amio. Had a bit of a cry from shock but will get head round it, is fustrating to not know even with scand now every 3 weeks or so we will still not have clearer idea. I know we will still love him the same but I hope for his sake that he is fine just cause no one wants anything that is going to make their child's life harder. We will proceed and keep fingers crossed. Hope everyone elses scans have gone well. Am so glad it is half term as have also just taken class away for 3 days, exhausting but very proud of them for their acheivements.
