I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

Ladies I have just had the best end to a horrible 48 hours, had a call on wed that downs result was 1:15. Had an amnio yesterday and just heard that everything is ok and it's a boy Grin

Great news about the Amnio. I had a CVS which was all clear but they didn't find out the sex (well the woman at the end of the line said they didn't). I had a GP appt for 16 weeks and am going to see him again in 2 weeks. He seems to want to see me every 4 weeks.

I don't feel too big either in this pg which is my 2nd. I will find out for sure at 20 week scan which is still seeming a very long way away!

Summer glad yours was clear too. Did you ask her the sex? I was told they'd only tell if we asked.

I asked her if they knew the sex and she replied with: oh we don't test for that. I will ask M/W for a run down of the results as they were testing for Trisomies but not a full karyotype which means they would have tested for XXY thus being able to tell me the sex.

I haven't really got anything for baby yet, well actually the only thing we got was a set of TT bottles as they were 75% off in Wilkos. We still have clothes from DS so we're not planning on getting anything just yet. Besides, I am still slightly worried about things that may happen. I'm just so paranoid with this pregnancy. I was carefree with my first but with this one I find myself trying to avoid thinking about 'bad' things. I think the need for the CVS and possibility of IUGR has brought this all on! I still haven't gone public yet apart from my department at work and our parents. Other rele's and friends still don't know. I'm going to wait until after 20 week scan, I think.

im due the 16th, first started trying xmas day and fell pregant literlly didnt bother after that it being xmas was amazed it only took the once!

your same day as me firstime. i am also a christmas sex casualty. had it twice in a month due to alcohol and good food and now am up the duff...

Summer - they know it because they look at the sex chromozones (sp) she's just being a knob. Ring and ask someone else Grin

I'd only just finished telling everyone last week after waiting til 18 weeks to tell anyone due to a mc in nov. Typical isn't it.

Just asked dh if he want to see if he could feel any thing cause I was getting a right kicking and then there was massive one and dh felt it Grin

Try not to worry FirstimeMummy, lots of women on their 1st pregnancies dont feel their baby till later into their pregnancy. You never know, you may have actually felt him/her and not realised! My early kicks were often mistaken for wind with DD1 but with DD2 and this one I knew it was baby. Good luck for 4th May, got my 20 week scan on the 11th May. Such a long time to wait still Smile

Hmph - I saw my neighbour today who said: "oooh, not long now" as she nodded at my growing bump. My reply? "Well, I've got a bit of time, they're not due until September!" I feel it's going to be a long 4 1/2 months!

lol i got told i was glowing the other day. then when two people asked me when i was due and i said september they both seemed to doubt my dates. I think i must look bgger as i have a small frame.

i also really need to stop buying stuff for the baby but i cant help it.

Hi all, had my 16wk app today. Heard babys heart beat feel sooo much better as still no movement, been told off as i have lost 2 stone since my 7wk app, was a very stearn "I don't care if you don't fancy it! just eat it!!!!!!" ok I will try DS2 age 4 thought i was bringing baby home!! oppps not yet hunnie xx been given my date for my anti D and glucose all on the same day so am pleased about that, have to be at the hospital for 8:45 am was well shocked will have to leave my house at half 7 lol
hope all going well with everyones bumps xxxxx

had another bleed this morning and am getting a bit tired of going to a&e - I seem to have my own room there as I've been in the same one each time! All okay but my cervix is inflammed. They think it's okay but they want me to have a smear as soon as babies are born - which has got me worried. I am due one but they've always been fine in the past. I'm just hoping it stays closed for another 20 weeks :-(

I'm a bit fed up today. I have four medical appointments in the next two and a half weeks and I am getting reallly sick of travelling as I am so uncomfortable in the car.

I think peanut moved this morning and woke me up... is that possible?

poor you Misty, glad your feeling more chilled. I find my body lulls me into false feelings, am 17+1 and often feel very energetic in morning but if I do too much am in pieces by the evening. Am looking forward to scan in few weeks as am impatient with not feeling baby or noticing any changes in last few weeks. Apparently at 20 week DH is able to hear heart through kitchen roll tube on tummy - any one else tried this? Am bit nervous about going back to school as all kids and parents will find out and am not one for being centre of attention - might get lots of free stuff though!

Princess - sorry to hear you are having a rough time. I hope you are resting and taking things easy. Did the kitchen roll thing work by the way....?
Lola - how far along are you? Im 17+4, Baby wakes me if Im in a light sleep, it thinks it's fun to tickle me awake with its wriggles and kicks. Felt my first through the hand skin kick today. Was resting in bed this morning before the older kids woke up and had my hand on my tummy, then baby kicked it, so felt it both inside and out! When my youngest got up I made her lie with me for 15 mins hoping she could feel it. She very sweetly sang twinkle twinkle little star and told me baby had gone back to sleep... cute!

Its a beautiful day here in the East- hope it is wherever you lovely ladies are ) I am going to take my gorgeous dog out in the sunshine for a walk and then clean up house for a new estate agent to come round as fed up with current one and need my house sold!x
