I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

MumToSophie · 10/02/2011 16:06

Thanks, I'll def give them a call just to be safe. Wanted to do it today but I've been sick pretty much all day. I'm still in my pjs so hope I don't get any visitors!!

Chelstonmum I've been getting backache too, I didn't get it at all in my first pregnancy. I feel like I'm being such a drama queen this time, always moaning about something. My first pregnancy was so easy, now I always feel ill. Ah well, will all be worth it in the end.

PrincessScrumpy · 10/02/2011 16:32

Mumtosophie I think the second pg is harder as you'r already looking after a little person so can't just put your feet up when you like.

My back started aching today and I bought my first maternity bra (at 8 weeks!) I've gone from a 32D to a 34DD. DH is delighted, but he made the mistake of answering honestly when I asked if my bum was looking bigger as well as my tummy - apparently yes... a little. That wasn't the answer I wanted. Oh well, looks like I'm going to be curvier than ever.

Valiant1 · 11/02/2011 20:11

Hi there how is everyone?

summerpixie · 11/02/2011 22:25

Wow a week has passed quick. One more to go and then half term.

I have decided to ignore the 'income recovery' letter until they ask me for proof. I will save my ranting until then.

Congrats PrincessScrumpy! I always wanted B/G twins so that I could get it over with in one go. Someone asked an identical twin in my class last week if he was sure he had the right name as his parents may have got him mixed up with his twin when he was a baby and thus ended up with the wrong name, lol.

PrincessScrumpy · 12/02/2011 14:17

I'm going to have to leave their hospital bands on! I love the facy my family will be complete and in just 2 pgs.

lolajane2009 · 12/02/2011 15:34

anyone else lost their appetite due to morning sickness? even the thought of food turns my stomach.

CrazyAlien06 · 12/02/2011 16:19

hey all, hope you are all ok!
lolajane I havent had any morning sickness at all! Been feeling fine! Should I be worried?! felt faint a few times but thats it!

AppleyEverAfter · 12/02/2011 18:19

Ooh PrincessScrumpy, congrats on the twins! Wish I could have them, prob would just have the 1 pregnancy then!

Nannyl, in the same boat as you, am 8 weeks been sick since 5, luckily not actually vomming yet though, hope it stays like this or goes away v soon. It's comforting in a way though.

I have been so impatient, told family and a few friends already. Waiting till scan in 3 weeks before I go Facebook public though!

AppleyEverAfter · 12/02/2011 18:25

Oh and can I just say, Extra Strong Mints are my new best friend! Ace for sickness... bit sugary though.

lolajane2009 · 12/02/2011 20:39

lol i had some great sugar free pear drops but they have ran out.

i decided to have a corned beef sandwich because I felt peckish and now my morning sickness is fighting back.

PrincessScrumpy · 12/02/2011 21:07

lolajane I feel your pain - was sick 5 times at work on Friday - after a bad night sleep with dd1 and no cola to start the day. Yep forget oj, I can only sip cola or lemonade (we don't usually have fizzy drinks in the house!

Bread is a definite no no! Actually most things are and it changes by the hour.

lolajane2009 · 12/02/2011 21:41

lol, at least i'm not alone. I have only vomitted a few times and mainly when brushing my teeth, had to change toothpaste a few times to find one i like.

there only thing i really like is grapefruit atm.

PrincessScrumpy · 13/02/2011 08:56

That sounds healthy - the only things I can stomack are very plain and bland things - jacket potatoes are working well. Really want to get the 12 weeks - seems a very long way away. I never have been a patient person.

We've already been looking at pushchairs (mostly so we can save up - we thought we were sorted on that front!

Really glad I know there are tow otherwise I'd be panicking at the size of my tummy at 8 weeks!

Valiant1 · 13/02/2011 14:15

eight weeks tomorrow no morning sickness not complaining but worried and keep having really awfull dreams ended up crying this morning last night was that bad!!! Princess scrummy i have also had the mother care book and orderd the toys r us to look at the prams and cots need to start saving xx midwife tomorrow. told our sd on friday as we didnt want her to kick of in front of the little ones and she said and i quote "Well i going uni, I will not have to baby sit, i don't care!!!!!" was expcting a fight lol bless her any one got any think exiting planned this week?

lolajane2009 · 13/02/2011 14:26

we've been round most of the shops as we nee to budget too. The only issue is that it leaves me exhausted so think I might stay in for a few days now. Everything is aching and despite only gaining 2 and a half pounds I feel as heavy as a rock.

it amuses me that my hubby has been saying no if he doesnt like things and is keeping the house tidy... case of the bodysnatchers?

Suzie3 · 13/02/2011 19:48

Hi there. Just saw that you are expecting DC 4 in September.
Congratulations!
Me too - although I only found out a few days ago, and it was a bit of a shock!!
Coming to terms with it now, and starting to feel very happy about it.

My others are:
DD 6, DS4, DD 18mths.
DOn't have an official due date, but had an early scan last week which put me at 9 weeks, so I think around 1st week of September?

I am feeling a bit nervous about how hard it's going to be having 4. 3 totally wear me out!

How are you feeling?

Suzie

Suzie3 · 13/02/2011 19:49

oops! Sorry this was meant for someone higher up the thread! Will try again!

eastegg · 14/02/2011 13:10

Hi everyone including the new joiners. This thread's getting big! As are we.

Still no morning sickness at this end, the only change to my appetite is it's got bigger, and I start to feel a bit funny if I don't eat frequently. Also I know it sounds silly but it's starting to bug me that I haven't got bigger boobs! I definitely did have with DS at this stage. They've not changed at all and they're tiny! Meanwhile my tummy bloats out loads. I was nauseous with DS as well. Do the differences mean it's a girl this time? Let the wild speculation begin...

Princess I remember not being able to eat really bland things like bread with DS. Weird isn't it? I read on another MN thread a while ago a woman saying she couldn't stand the smell of water. That just summed up morning sickness for me!

Valiant1 · 14/02/2011 19:07

Been the midwife today taken bloods and refered me to consultants as i am over wieght Blush No scan till 18th of march Sad and am soo tierd hubby thinks i in a mood! How is every one else?

summerpixie · 14/02/2011 20:05

I have been feeling tired since Christmas. Just this week left to go and a whole week off(except it never is).

No morning sickness and didn't have it with DS either. However, I have (TMI) that irritation down below. Tried the garlic thing last night and have just had a tea tree soak. I think I will have to cut the garlic tonight to let out the juices. Arghhhh, I never got it last time round. My boobs are also still V. sore and feel like big airbags along with my middle airbag which constantly feels bloated and is definately NOT baby bump. I know, I know I should cut out the carbs, but bread is so yummy!

One more week until booking appt. I'm still contemplating on when to drop the bombshell at work.

Hope you all have a good week! Xs

reddaisy · 16/02/2011 16:26

Hi everyone, how are you all today? I have been so, so tired. It doesn't help that I am doing really long hours and work doesn't know yet.

I had my booking in appointment with the midwife yesterday and because I have had an emergency c/section she said I won't be allowed a water birth this time. Which is what I really, really want. So I am going to see if there is away around it.

I need to book my blood tests for next week and then wait patiently for my scan date to come through!

I can't wait to see the little one and then tell work and everyone who doesn't know already.

Welcome to all the new joiners as well.

I stupidly went to ikea today and did some housework and i am now exhausted. trried mothercare for bras again today and they were grim. might have to use figleaves.

i am waiting for my scan date after my booking in last week but so far nothing has arrived.

PrincessScrumpy · 16/02/2011 19:39

Hi everyone,

Been in bed since Sunday (or in the loo) with a tummy bug - not eating makes my morning sickness worse so I got to the stage that I didn't know if I felt sick through the bug or through morning sickness. Went to work today and have been eating my way back to health - school pizza is apparently an answer! (god knows what's in them!)
