Never been through "real" labour as was induced with Jess.

I am now 36+2 with baby number 2 and have been up most of the night with the most horrific back pain and pains under the bump..... is this normal?

I had a bath but that hasnt done anything, so do i need to get checked or do i take a few paracetemol and see if that helps?!

NOOOO you can't be in labour, you're going to leave me all alone on the October board this is all part of some horrible master plan isn't it! Waaah! I'm so of you if you are

and you still could be! like I said on t'other thread, I had this a few days before I kicked in properly with dd, don't be surprised if you go to bed and wake up earlier than you expected!!!! If I were you I'd get on all 4's for 15 mins, to ensure baby has chance to move into good position, then chill out! have you gone off your food?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 24/09/2005 21:42

gone off food - YES! Had 2 mini donuts and a few mouthfulls of chicken and rice all day..... just not hungry.

is that a sign?!

Frizbe · 24/09/2005 21:47

it was for me! I ate dinner, but didn't want pudding, most unlike me, and I'd had the pains earlier in the day, went to bed, woke up at 2am ran to loo for a no.2 (TMI Sorry!) realised dull pain in back, timed it, every 15 mins, progressed to every 10 within 1.5hrs, dh came racing downstairs in panic, got sitters round (at 3.30am!) got to hosp at 4.15, had dd at 9.40am! home for tea! result! really hoping it goes this way for you xx

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 24/09/2005 21:50

ooooh..... dont get me all excited!!!! Maybe its a good job dad is staying here tonight!!!

fireflyfairy2 · 24/09/2005 21:50

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 24/09/2005 21:54

OP posts:

ah no it's the lull before the storm! I didn't watch the tv, more glanced at it and told dh to turn it off/over, he complained he wanted to watch something! I obviously was a bit busier!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 24/09/2005 21:57

OP posts:
steffee · 24/09/2005 22:23

Sorry, don't want to dishearten you but I got at least three or four "false labours" with my second pregnancy, used to drive me mad. I was so sure this was the real thing, then nothing.

Hope it is though if that's what you want!!
