Hello. Insomniacs unite!

myturn · 23/09/2005 00:41

The worst thing about being an insomniac (apart from not being able to sleep...) is being the last one on every thread at 3.30am.

hunkermunker · 23/09/2005 00:42

LOL! Hello! I'm 25 weeks pg on Saturday! Second baby though - and my advice to you would be sleep while you can Hard though, esp with heartburn and a wriggly bump!

Yep, due on 14th January. Had a midwife appointment today to talk about a homebirth - just talking to DH about where the birthing pool will go

moozoboozo · 23/09/2005 01:01

Not preggie, but an insomniac, so can I join in? I was 6 months pregnant this time last year, so I fully sympathise with you all. However, unfortunately, my insomnia has not gone away! (Sorry!)

moozoboozo · 23/09/2005 01:11

I'm addicted to Su-Doku.

I wanted a homebirth (it all went out of the window in the end, as I was induced) but I was worried about the neighbours hearing me cussing at 4am. However, I wish I had had one, as our old neighbour used to drill at midnight Well, he did until I went round there one (at 8 months pg in my scary maternity nightie) and told him to stop, or I'd stick the drill up his effing backside. He took the sensible option and put the drill down, and stepped away from the crazy hormanal lady with mad bed-hair.

myturn · 23/09/2005 01:15

I desperately wanted a home birth. But ended up being over 2 wks late for all of them, induced each time, post-partum haemorrhages for each and emergency section for the 4th. So not much chance of a home birth for any really. My sister was born at home, many many years ago.

ei23mummy · 23/09/2005 01:25

v. funny image in my head of crazed-looking prg woman with a drill in her hand!!lol i might even try this with my friendly neighbourhood drummer!! hes also a girlfriend beater btw as we had to call the police the other week as he was trying to kill his g/f by swinging her round their flat!! what a total arsehole- pardon the french!!

OMG ei23m!!! What a weirdo! Our noisy neighbours moved out, thank goodness. That's awful though. I used to live upstairs from some drug dealers, and was once woken up by the police doing a dawn raid on their flat. Mind you, that flat was sandwiched in between a brothel (nice garden) and a Halal butchers (who had an on site abattoire and used to throw chicken feet over the fence) so it wasn't in the nicest area. There was also a colnic irrigation clinic 3 door up, so all eventualities were covered. Drugs, sex, food and poo.

moozoboozo · 23/09/2005 01:33

Su-Doku explained!!!

myturn · 23/09/2005 01:33

Oh no, do I really NEED any more addictions? Have just got hooked on one of my mobile phone games. The kids have kicked my backside at it - I am rubbish but have to finish the flipping thing. Will google, but if I become addicted I know who I will be blaming!

myturn · 23/09/2005 01:35

Ooooh thanks! Had too many wines to do it just now, but have added it to favourites and will have a go tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on. I LOVE logic problems, so think I will like this.

ei23mummy · 23/09/2005 01:39

sounds like you lived round the corner from my mum!! her areas like that!! there is like a 24hour police helicopter round by where she lives!! its horrible!! her next door neighbour has got o.c.d aswell so all he does is open and close his doors and windows all the time and his car door!! v.noisy so shes prob awake now aswell!!

OP posts:
ei23mummy · 23/09/2005 01:42
