gilda sadly 1st babies can keep you in what is known as latent phase for quite a few days.Sometimes this means that when it does get going, it'll be smooth and swift.

Your body is doing the hard work of shortening the cervix and it needs to be fully efaced before it can dilate, this is hopefully what is happening at the moment.

Are you being induced tomorrow cos of water leak? if so, they'll prob want to pop a drip up, get them to start it on the lowest that they can as you might not take much and you don't want to be overdosed with a rush of artificial hormones that can make it more difficult to cope.

Good luck, try some walking up and down stairs sideways one step at a time,m this opens up the pelvis, same goes for nice deep supported squats.

Can also still go for nipple stimulation, can be very effective. You are hoping for nice long ctx lasting more than 45 secs, and so that you are not able to talk through them, regular is good but long and strong is AS important.

I can only assume from how quiet it's gone that Gilda is either cuddling a newborn, or is in full on labour. Go Gilda!

Woke with contractions at 3.30am. Baby born 7.45am. At home, in pool. Midwife arrived 15 mins later (she'd been out to see me, said only 2cms and left again). So... Baby caught by DH, coached by Lia, who was fabulous and completely calm and in control for us... more details if she gets to a pc but I think she may need a sleep now too!

8lb 10oz little boy. Completely gorgeous.

Wow Alba!! Congratulations. Sounds a pretty perfect birth (apart from the midwife, but then you had the marvellous lia so probably better). So so envious of the speed and calmness of it. What lovely news!

It's really lovely that we are having our babies now, we all came accross at the same time after starting at the other side at around the same time, I didn't get to do me nooo year sentimentals so i'll do it now instead - we've all been through so much, it's wonderful to see a happy end result (snf snf, damn emotional hormones, will attempt to end sentence now). Don't want to lose touch with you guys (boohoohoo like baby), you've all been so supportive and I hope this fred continues to support more ladies in the same situation - it's so great to see all levels and parts of traumatic pgs, all the way to the end result.
