hi
due 21st so am 4+6
will be under consultant care and have an early scan next week as have had a problematic history. very excited but trying not to let on, and very scared too. have been feeling increasingly more nauseas for about a fortnight. have 5 year old dd, was sickly with her but i don't remember it starting quite so early. feel hungry all the time but don't really feel like eating (although dh made lovely pork dinner tonight and i ate seconds Grin) have had a bit of lower backache and groin pain too but not today so hopefully that is the end of that.

emmywoo · 17/11/2010 19:30

Hi all - didnt have a great day yesterday was having some groin pain but today feel alot better. Keep running to the loo to pee every 1/2 hour and also checking that not bleeding. Boobs really sore but taking that as a good sign. So wish I was 12 weeks this week so I could have a scan to put my mind at rest!!
I am eating well, actually eating everything in site, contstantly hungry!!!
xxxxx

Due July 4th. Had a scan last Wednesday and they saw the heartbeat! Feeling sick as anything, tho Envy

Binkybell · 18/11/2010 08:58

Hi everyone
As I'm relatively new to MN, I had a quick question, what does it mean when people write I'm 4 + 6 or such like?

Hope you can help.....

Dummyhunter · 18/11/2010 09:26

hi Binkybell - it means that they are 4 weeks and 6 days since the first day of their last period - this is how the Doctor will date you until your scan dates you.

Binkybell · 18/11/2010 09:48

Thanks Dummyhunter - have been trying to work that out for ages!!! Smile

Dummyhunter · 18/11/2010 10:07

purplehibiscus · 18/11/2010 10:48

i am so glad for to be among you guys as I had missed miscarriage earlier this year and am very nervous! So i completely understand how you feel tea4, pinkybell, and emmywoo. I hope we can continue to support each other.

uniqueblondiee · 18/11/2010 10:56

Heyy I'm due july 15th with number 1 :) my boobs are hugeee already and I have crazy heartburn and tiredness I feel very sick but no sickness yet :/

emmywoo · 18/11/2010 15:00

OH my god the feeling of sickness started today, vile vile vile!!! Hubby made me a cup of tea this morning and I thought the milk was off but it was fine so think my taste buds are starting to play up.
If anyone of you are suffering from morning sickness then eat ginger biscuits, they really do help.
Keep running to loo as well and take a huge sigh of relief that no bleeding. Keep finding myself getting very excited but need to calm down as know anything can happen as per previous history.
Hope you all having a good day. xxxxxx

Oceanfox · 18/11/2010 16:15

LadyGoneGaga · 18/11/2010 20:27

Hellooo...do you know we have a big Due July 2011 over in Antenatal?

Here

Congrats all! Due 28th here Smile

sues1974 · 18/11/2010 20:55

Hi ladies,
theres loads of us over on the thread that ladygonegaga has mentioned above but thought id still post on here too as its easy to get lost theres so many pages on the other one.
i think the earliest they can detect a hearbeat is about 6 weeks, but might have to do a trans-vaginal to do this, just means they do the scan through your lady bits as it picks up the heartbeat better, i had it done with DS when i was 6+5 as was bleeding a little. it doesnt hurt and only just goes inside not right up so cant cause any damage. im having a scan between week 8-9 as im nowa high risk of having a mc with having had radiotherpay to the groin area last year.
warning maybe TMI - im getting an orange/light brown discharge, is anyone else? im hoping its only fom stretching and my body changing for the baby but it is a little worrying. i bled before and that was on wiping and in knickers and was brown blood, then at 11 weeks i bleed fresh blood, you can imagine how distraught i was, but it all turned out fine and they didnt really have a reason for it happening other that my cervix/womb rubbing again other linings and membranes as it grew.
was really sick yesterday but ok today, think yesterday was the remainder of a bug i had monday. today felt like i had to keep eating to keep nausea at bay, so i did, ha ha.
hows everyone else been today?
suz xx

uniqueblondiee · 18/11/2010 21:16

Will pop ever to the thread and make my presence known :) suz I to had brown and bright red bleeding and everything seem fine with me :) I really wish you the best of luck for a happy and healthy pregnancy and a beautiful baby. Well today I have been the grumpiest bitch from hell!!!!!!!!!! And I broke my favourite mug :( I've been an emotinal wreck and though holy crap my boobs are getting huge and sore. Apart from that I'm great!! (Well I would be after several weeks worth of continious sleep) xx

sues1974 · 18/11/2010 22:24

Oh no, breaking your fav mug isnt good.
oh id love sleep, was like that last time, it was great, id come home from work and sleep on the sofa for an hour while hubby cooked tea and had no problem sleeping at night, now i just lay there wide awake.
my boobs are sore when i first get up but thats all, although the sides of my bra seem to be digging in. think i'll have to dig out the old non underwired support bras from last time. glad everything ok with your bleed too uniqueb.
i went to see beauty and the beast the musical with my parents the other night and had to stop myself from crying about 4 times! it was mad. i had to actually pinch myself not to cry when this beautiful little blonde boy ran across the stage and said Mummy, am i a real boy again? and then tonight on corrie that was it - floods of tears for Jacks funeral. i was still bad from first pregnancy fo being an emotional wreak and now it seems to have got worse.
Oh the joys :)

uniqueblondiee · 18/11/2010 22:41

Oh but corrie was heartbreaking :( I cried at my puppy this morning for not coming when she was called and diciding to fuck run of and do several circuits of the garden bitch I'm blaming exhaustion and hormones (ate dinne by myself as db was being an arse) for the way I've been today. Oh the joys indeed :)

purplehibiscus · 19/11/2010 08:46

hey guys,

so having just found i am pregnant, I also have to get on a long haul flight tomorrow to Africa for work. last time I was pregnant I also traveled right around this time (4 weeks preg) and later had a missed MC at 7 weeks. I know its probably unreasonable but I also wondered if I over exerted myself early on in the pregnancy and contributed to the MC somehow. don't think I can pull out of the trip at this point but may be I should reconsider the trip? I don't know I am just really paranaoid after last MC! any ideas of how I can cope?

thanks so much for you support!!

uniqueblondiee · 19/11/2010 09:31

Well if you think the trip contributed to your last mc maybe reconsider?? I though it was pretty safe to fly though? So I'm probably not that helpful

hefner · 19/11/2010 09:44

Hi everyone, I'm due in July too.

purplehibiscus my GP told me that it is absolutely fine to fly in early pregnancy. I asked because I'm planning to fly at xmas, although only short haul. Maybe just try to think of ways to make yourself as comfortable as possible on the flight (comfy clothes, plenty to read/watch to distract you, drinks/snacks to help with nausea, and maybe support stockings to reduce the risk of blood clots)?

Arianrhod · 19/11/2010 12:19

Hey ladies ... Can I add a "me too" here please, due 22nd July, was wondering if I shouldn't be posting in the over-40s thread instead as I'm almost 43, so I'm happy to see others here around my age! And worrying mightily about the 12 week scan, specifically the nuchal fold test.

Off to find something to distract me ... for the next 7-odd weeks!! :)

purplehibiscus · 19/11/2010 15:17

thanks hefner and unique,
i've been trying to read up about travel in early pregnancy and seems most advice is that it is ok if you stay hydrated, walk frequently and wear flight socks to avoid DVT. I feel a bit better about traveling tomorrow but just hoping to keep the stress levels down while over there!

Thanks again ladies!

sues1974 · 20/11/2010 15:35

Lets us know how you got on when you get back purplehibiscus
well today i feel completely unpregnant, no need to wee, no nausea nothing. worried that i wont be which is silly as i know you can loose a baby and your body still thinks its pregnant so can still make you feel sick etc.
god why is this wait for a scan soooooo long.
Woman at my work told me last time that with her first she was worried all the time, read up on everything and it went really slowly, then with her 2nd she didnt bother and it flew by. wish i could be like that but i cant, still have to read everything going and must pray 100 times a day that the baby will stick and be ok.
My little boy is nearly 2 and when i look back the time has flown, but now has come to a stand still again, thank god for christmas coming up to keep us busy.
suz xx
