Mine's a little man :) feel quite accomplished knowing I've grown a penis but simple things often amuse me :) I've got an anterior placenta so it'll be hard for me to feel any kicks for ages yet but it's all extra cushioning for him in there. Makes me look bigger too so I've gone from 'a bit tubby' to 'definitely pregnant'. I reckon you know it's definite when people just ask when you're due!

JimmyChoo17 · 28/02/2011 22:20

How big is everyones bumps now for those on first babies?

Aldo boobs? Little shocked a bra size difference already...still got 20 weeks to go!!! I take back my worriesbabout being small for so long Blush

JimmyChoo17 · 28/02/2011 22:21

Also not aldo

tea4tw0 · 01/03/2011 11:17

JimmyChoo17 i've been visibly pregnant from about 8 weeks, but it is a nice bump. Also went straight into maternity bras at the point too. I do miss my nice matching sets underwear. But i have joked i wished i'd weighed my boobs at the start to see how much heavier they're getting LOL

tea4tw0 · 01/03/2011 11:22

Had my 20 week scan y'day - all well with the baby. But really upset with the consultant - had massive blart this morning. I have Meniere's Disease and my midwife totally understood the potential consequency's of if i go into labour - but this stupid Jnr Dr isn't so convinced and is going to write to my ENT specialist before she will confirm my c-section - She has no appreciation that if i go into labour it will bring on a MASSIVE Meniere's attack, i won't be able to speak properly and will go into a deep sleep, then they'll be panicking and have to do an emergency c-section - it will then take me a month or more to recover and i won't be able to give the baby the care it will need - what is this woman's problem - why would i a mature 42 year old woman be making such a thing up. I feel insulted, deeply upset and scared she's going to make me go into labour.

JimmyChoo17 · 01/03/2011 22:06

Ha - I wish I could blame excess weight on boobs...but think my thighs are a right giveaway :(

What a sod that Dr is - can you ask to see another Dr and voice your concerns? Can you ask the MW to do something? How horrid for him to inflict such extra worry on you. AMATEUR!!! Angry

tea4tw0 · 02/03/2011 09:52

I've written to my Consultant to give him the heads up - he's always really supportive and if it hadn't been for him, i wouldn't even be expecting - cos' under my previous Meniere's consultant we were told not to have children. i feel a lot calmer today and know all will be well

JimmyChoo17 · 02/03/2011 10:38

thats good to hear hon - hopefully he will be supportive and sort your care out.

Brilliant news that you are expecting when told you might not be able to - its a relief I know that feeling (but for diff reasons!)

TTC...pregnancy...these things are sent to try us!

I have a massive work load today but could really do with sitting feet up...cookie in hand and watching some trashy tv Brew

Hi,

I'm a newbie due on July 30th (I only just make it). I've been looking for a July baby thread. Even if I'm the last one in it to give birth!

mum2b072011 · 02/03/2011 13:52

Hi,

I'm a newbie too!! Due 15th July .... cant wait :) x

thehiddenpaw · 02/03/2011 20:29

my 20 week scan was Monday and phew, all seems ok. am finally being more open about telling people. Am 21 weeks but still no visible bump and just looking a little tight in some of my trousers (am a size 14 ao not skinny person). It is weird telling people as they look straight at my stomach and say how many weeks in a shocked voice. But I am used to it as this is no 3. both boys realy excited and like asking about the baby. We decided not to find out what it is and are enjoying the mystery. does anyone else feel exhausted and need to go to bed by 9pm?? Thought i was in the nice phase

RunDMC · 02/03/2011 21:43

Hi ladies,

I've been lurking on the August thread but am actually due on the 24th July. Got my 20 week scan tomorrow at 19+5 and keeping all fingers and toes crossed.

paw I also am usually in bed by 9.30 at the latest and am wondering when exactly the blooming stage is going to kick in (lying here with laptop under the duvet in pj's as I type)

tea sorry to hear about your experience with the doc but glad your consultant is supportive. I'm expecting to be told I need a CS as I have hip dysplasia and one bionic hip but my fear is to not be taken seriously as it's rare to have a replacement joint at 36 and I don't expect many obs consultants have come across it..

JimmyChoo17 · 03/03/2011 19:17

Welcome RunDMC!

Have had such a good week without any sickness and hardly any tiredness - am trying not to get too excited as I know it might return just as quick like it did last week!

Slightly concerned at slight lactating today tho...very little but thats not the point!

tel1 · 06/03/2011 10:24

how's everyone doing? I'm coming up to 19 wkes now and feel so un-preg, is very disconcerting. I don't seem to be getting any bigger and still don't feel any movements as such - I know I should be glad I feel so well, but after having a mc last time, I'd much rather be awash with symptoms....

hiddenpaw, glad you said that your not showing that much as well...

my scan is next monday 14th, so praying all will be ok

hi speffle - I'm due the 31st july from my scan dates (would be the 9th aug from my true dates)

dmc I too am awaiting to bloom - was hoping for bouncing glossy hair, but its gone dank and lifeless !

HLSalter · 06/03/2011 14:17

Hi everyone. I'm relatively new to MN.

I'm due on 18th July with a little boy. Grin

thehiddenpaw · 06/03/2011 19:40

Hi all and pleased to welcome hlsalter.

Tel am also glad am not the only one who is not looking obvious. Good luck with scan. is huge relief to go and see baby and know they are ok.

rundmc, am so so tired! Make it through the day and start drooping around 7pm and just waiting for two boys to go to bed so I can think of sneaking off!I did stay up late last night with friends but feeling very dippy today and not all there with tiredness.

Vix286 · 07/03/2011 17:28

Hi All,

Just checking in. We have the 20 week scan tomorrow, I can't believe its half way through!

We've said that after this scan we might start buying some baby things, and think about sorting out the room it should eventually sleep in!

I think I can feel some movements but not quite sure feels like something is turning over in my tummy?

tel1 · 10/03/2011 12:09

hope scan went ok - mines on monday... fingers crossed..
I too now can feel slight popping in my tummy...

gemmaloid · 10/03/2011 13:08

hi everyone,
im a newbie, due july 25th! we had our scan today, its a little girl! thats one of each for us! :)

alasia · 10/03/2011 15:36

Hey, only just seen this thread :)

I'm due 21st July with my 3rd baby, another little boy (already have one of each) :)

tea4tw0 · 22/03/2011 19:47

Does anyone else feel like an overinflated balloon ready to pop. I can't imagine that there's anymore room for growth and i'm only 23+5 !!!

RunDMC · 23/03/2011 10:12

yes I feel a bit like that tea4tw0 and I'm a week behind you !

tea4tw0 · 23/03/2011 17:23

Had my 24 wk check up with Midwife today - every time she put the heartbeat monitor to my tummy, the baby kicked it away .... cheeky thing lol.

If you've followed my history on here she also said that when i go back to the consultant i'm to just tell them that under no circumstances am i to be allowed to go into labour and insist they book the c-section. So relieved to have her support and understanding,

JimmyChoo17 · 23/03/2011 22:38

Welcome newbies!!

Great news tea4two! Much nicer to get support.

Hey girls....3rd trimester is looming isn't it?

thehiddenpaw · 28/03/2011 12:40

Am 25 weeks and go see my midwife this week for cert. Lots of baby kicking going on, bump growing. Out of some of my clothes but am still wearing normal stuff. Am at that size where people look at you and wonder if you are fat..... yes am fat but also pregnant! Sore back and buttock at the moment, not sure if lifting 3 year old or cycling did it. So first weekend I have not been running and now wondering if that is my running over for this pregnancy. Exhausted a lot and often in bed by 8pm! Excited too though and got the baby clothes out but not gone through and washed them - no idea whether girl or boy so have to hunt out more neutral stuff first
