I have recentl ot my BFP and am due july 11.

Just wonered i there was anyone else out there

OK scan on Tuesday (me and lizandlulu!)am looking forward to it but worried there could be a problem. No particuar reason why just paranoid.

Tried to get DH involved in a nice positive "who are we going to tell of our friends first and how" conversation but he is refusing to discuss until after scan as he has read the bloody dad book I brought him for Xmas and knows "what could happen......"

Roll on Tuesday and at least I'll know and then can worry about the 20 week one and the blood test results I suppose.

vix286 i will be thinking of you! i was suprised to read on my appointment letter that the scan pics are £5 each! they was only £2 when i had dd 5 years ago! but i know that first and foremost it is to check things are all and normal, not to just have a look at my baby.

feel really shattered today, even after a full night sleep, and got a kids party to go to later, not looking forward to it one bit

really excited about tuesday though

just wanted to mention thats i ahve an irrational feeling that i am going to be told i have got 2 in there! neither dh or me have twins in our families, but i just dont know why, i feel so big that dh keeps teasing me that there is 2.

i would just die of shock if there was twins in there!

Hmm they haven't given a price on mine, thanks for heads up lizandlulu! I am at 12.20pm what about you?

There are twins in my family but I am ignoring that bit, DH said he would cry if there were twins.... due to the expense rather than being overcome with joy

mine is a 3.10. i am at work on the tue morning so will have something to make the day go faster

I had my scan this morning, and let's just say, thank goodness it's not twins.

There's a very lively baby in there who wouldn't do what the doctor wanted but we got there in the end!

Apparently I'm 13 weeks and not 12, but I forgot to ask my new due date in the heat of the moment.

It's very happy but surreal, this pregnancy thing...

Congrats everyone! I'm due on 16th July and really wish I could just fast forward a couple more weeks at least... I thought I'd feel 'in the safe' zone after my first scan (which was AMAZING!), but I am still a little worried that I have so far to go...

I've been doing my best though and didn't get any sickness (although I did get nauseous if I didn't eat or woke up hungry, so I made sure I didn't go hungry ) :)

I have been quite emotional, but that could be down to Christmas stress and moving house too... I just hope everything goes well...

So my scan this week changed my date yet again to July 16 th which is what I originally worked it out to be.

So has everyone had their nuchal scans??? What were your measurements? Mine was 2.6 and waiting for blood results now.

I went to Thailand and my stomach was flat when I came home on sunday but next morning I had a bump on me!! Very small but it's so firm I thought I was constipated! But nope it's baby. It's a little lopsided and seems to change each day and doesn't seem so lopsided now.

I keep getting a shooting pain up my lady bits. It's not constant but I figure it's stretching pains as don't feel them in abdomen.

Scan went well. Bubs was swallowing, hand in mouth, arching it's back and wriggling. Was lovely!

My scans were £5 too, did you have to pay using a machine??

Ps how is everyone feeling symptom wise at the moment? I'm now 13weeks 5 days...

How strange, I didn't have to pay for a copy of the scan, the sonographer just handed me a copy when I asked, 3 pictures!

I'm still feeling sick, especially in the mornings and evenings, and if I don't eat. But it's so much better than it was already. The burping and bubbles in the belly are a bit hard work too.

I've worked out my new EDD is 22 July.

I'm still feeling sick if I get hungry but am much better but tiredness seems worse but that might be jet lag and yesterday my teeth started playing up and gums bleeding! I feel cheated....I thought there was supposed to be a pregnancy glow by now.....

Hi All - it's been a while - i've had my scans (NHS + Private NT) All went very well and am now due 15th July - Nuchal scan was fascinating- at 42 i started at High risk with 1/65 risk - after scan and bloods am now 1/1302 so that was a huge relief - i was even able to see the umbilical cord. Feel much happier now to just get on with being pregnant. It's our first so am on a huge learning curve, but it's all very exciting

Forgot to mention - i was also being teased at the size of my bump, but only the 1 baby spotted on the scans :)

JimmyChoo - I too am due July 16th! I got my dates wrong - thought I was 12+5! My nuchal was 1.something so no blood test needed, thankfully. Good luck with yours.

I said Yes to all of the above and 12 week scan revealed..... twins! Both dp I are in shock - we never really thought it would be true!

Glad to hear people's scans have gone well. Congrats cake4breakfast on twins!!

I have my scan this afternoon! Very excited but also a little bit nervous. I hope all goes well. Talking of irrational fears, I have this fear they'll start the scan and look at me and say, "Erm, there's no baby in here...you're not really pregnant...you've been imagining it all you silly woman!" Very irrational, I know :)

Hey, new to the site - I'm due 14th July. Had my 12 week scan just over a week ago (although was dated at 13+1!). Scan was amazing baby was somersautlign all over the shop- had one at around 10 weeks as dates were wrong (they thought I was 12) and it looked a littel like a duck! Proper baby in there now! No one could believe how clear the pic was!
Excited for 20 wk on 24th February!

Found sickness and stuff has cauht me up in the last couple of weeks, but seems to be easig - also bought my first pair of maternity jeans on saturday -I still feel a bit of a fraud though until I start properly showing!!

btw ButterflySally had the exact same irrational fear at my first scan!!

Glad it's not just me, Lynzilove. Had my scan last week and all went well (there was a baby in there!) Like you, I was amazed at how clear it was. It was also amazing to see it move and hear it's heartbeat. Due date has been revised - am now due 23rd July.

Am wondering too when to get maternity jeans - my old ones are too tight but I'm not really showing yet...

I got some under the bump ones from mamas and papas (lovely jeans but won't be buying anymore from there!! very expensive for clothes I'll only be wearing for 6 month)
Other than that I've mostly been using hair bobbles to extend the waistlin on my jeans I own. seems to be working at the moment.

I think I've been holding a lot of water all along because I've felt like a whale for weeks now and feel like I'm showing - although noone eles can see it!!

Was anyone else surprised by the due date given at their 12 week scan? They told me I was 5 days further along than I thought which not only contradicted previous scans but also would mean that I conceived on day 8 of my cycle (?!). How accurate are these dating scans?

gorgielondon - same with me. The dating scan put me at 12+6 whereas I had thought I was 12 exactly. It doesn't seem to fit with my cycle, either.

I read somewhere that they use the dating scan because the due date they get from it is supposedly more accurate but I don't know. Due dates are never really accurate anyway!

Hi how is everyone? Has everyone got bumps? Mine appears at night more than in day, in the day only on the left!!!????? Looked online at pics today and everyone seems bigger than me!

i think i have but its only really me and my other half that can see it. i have got a bit of a belly anywayso that dies't help, but I'm sure its being oushed out more ha it sed to be!!!

i get a bit obsessessed by it though!! feel a bit of a fraud when buying bits while im not properly showing!!

Havent been on in a while as dd has had severe dose of Chicken Pox.
Am 14wks now and all symptoms of pg have gone which I am feeling down about as at least when had them knew everthing was ok but now dont feel pg at all.
I dont have much of a bump apart from one already there although some trouser are getting a little tight so have washed and dried all my materntity clothes ready.
Have midwife app in a couple of weks for triple blood test whcih I am worrying about and hopefully she will be able to hear baby's heartbeat, I think once I can heart that that will make me feel alot better and calmer as keep having worrying episodes that something gone wrong.
