As some of you already know I am currently 5 weeks pregnant after having had a missed miscarriage at 17 weeks in April of this year.
I am very pleased and excited to be pregnant again but at the same time full of fear and anxiety.
Their seems to be a lot of women on mumsnet at the moment who have experienced a recent miscarriage and are pregnant again. We all have the same worries.
Hopefully we can use this thread to offer each other mutual support and help keep each other positive.

But I don't know I could go the whole hog and visit mothercare .

HellKat · 10/02/2006 15:46

Hiya all.
So sorry I did'nt post earlier, mn was being a bugger.

Babba's fine! Heart beating away. I'm now 1 day behind so 9 wks today (she put today's scan as the dating one) so now edd 15th Sept.
No more scans until the 20 wk one (which is being booked) but at 11-12 wks I can go and listen to the heartbeat (which is great). We're doing that once then leaving babba to it. We'll let the little one have peace.

Wills · 10/02/2006 15:59

That's brill new HK. I have to say that my experience of buying a dopler ended with my dh taking the thing away from me. I found my heartbeat and we had a good 2 hours of complete panic before someone calmly told me what I'd done. And to think that I even recorded it going from 70 to 100. DOH

petunia · 10/02/2006 16:02

Afternoon all,
Sorry not been on recently, DD1 is ill again with another ear infection so we've had yet another trip to the Drs this morning. I have been lurking though. Slinkstah- sorry about your notes. I'm amazed that some lab notes were missing. I think the hospital are trying to "cover their backs" as they're afraid of being sued. Doesn't make you feel like the hospital are "on your side" a lot of the time, does it?Great idea about a meet-up but I can't be doing with days out to big cities at the moment. We went to Cheltenham at the beginning of January and I was done-in by 2.30pm.
First Nikki- whereabouts in Leicestershire are you? I'm right by Jct 21, not far from Fosse Park.

I had a m/w appt yesterday (29wks today). Everything seems fine. She didn't do a blood test to check my iron levels because I had one last time. She said my iron level last month was 11.8 but I remember with DD1, it went down to 10.6. No wonder I felt rough! Baby seemed to be in a good position, its h/b was very loud!

Hope everyone else is well and hope Hellkat's OK.

FirstNikki · 10/02/2006 16:04

wow hk thats fab news hun...enjoy your pg x has the bleeding and pain subsided?

petunia · 10/02/2006 16:04

That's excellent news, Hellkat.

FirstNikki · 10/02/2006 16:05

great news about your apt petunia..fosse park...well I leave nearer Hinckley so just down the m69! so close

HellKat · 10/02/2006 16:14

In the last 2 weeks only had 4 days of bleeding (more like spotting instead of bleeding) and hadrly any pain. Have'nt bled/spotted in 4 days! They said my womb lining is now back to normal and that's where the bleeding was coming from. my body decided to bury little one deep lol.

FirstNikki · 10/02/2006 16:17

oh I bet you are so relieved hk, and no bleed or pain for 4 days hooray!

HellKat · 10/02/2006 16:19

Yep I'm a happy bun

petunia · 10/02/2006 16:31

Hellkat- it's great that your symptoms have subsided, and not so much bleeding now.

FirstNikki- crumbs, that is close! My parents live in Hinckley and I used to work near the railway station.

slinkstah · 10/02/2006 16:44

i used to live in hinckley

HK- thats fab rally please scan went all well.

Have wrote an almost organised list to see where we all live- so fill in gaps and then we can decide where meet should be, its looking like midlands or london so far!

Arabica · 10/02/2006 18:14

Great news HellKat!
I'm not getting a doppler, I think I would just be too obsessed with it, and couldn't bear it if I was all alone in the house and couldn't find the heartbeat.

Arabica · 10/02/2006 18:15

I was at college in Coventry, fond memories of Birmingham and Leicester.

kreamkrackers · 11/02/2006 15:52
