I'm now 33 weeks and I know it's not an exact science but I'm curious to hear as I'm always told that I'll likely be overdue as it's my 1st. But I do wonder as I'm reasonably active and my cycle was less than 28 days. I'm moving house around 36 weeks, so I hope the stress of that doesn't affect anything but also the idea of going to 42 weeks fills me with dread.

Basically, are most 1st babies 40 weeks plus?

dd1 - 41+3 but it was fine actually as I had a good pregnancy, and was v active - which I think is a good thing, as long as you're not emotionally stressed iyswim.

dd2 - don't know yet, currently 39 and even MORE active this time, never stop! Worried this could cause premature labour but she's obv not bothered by all my running around Smile

waters broke at 36+5.... it was the day we interred my dad's ashes and my sister decided to have a dramatic grave-side Eastenders moment (I don't want anything to do with the rest of you, blah blah blah)... so don't know whether the stress and emotion of the day caused the waters to gush.

Was then induced, and ended with an EMCS at 37 weeks.

CheeseandGherkins · 11/08/2010 09:31

36 weeks. Waters went at about 1am, she was born the next day in the afternoon. Spent a week in scbu.

This time I'll be having a section at 38+6

takingtheplunge · 11/08/2010 14:08

DS was bang on 36 weeks. Quite a surprise I can tell you! Everyone told me 1st babies are late. ha ha ha. No reason for him to come early and no problems apart from being small (4lb12)

nunnie · 11/08/2010 14:53

39+1

juuule · 11/08/2010 14:57

41+6 - induced

blametheparents · 11/08/2010 15:01

My cycle less than 28 days also, and lots of walking and swimming til the end of the pregnancy. 1st baby came at 39 + 3. Not exactly early, but def not late!
