Is a almost 3 year old too little to start training?

I kinda need help with this sorry I have a new kiddo coming and I don't want to being changing 2 sets of diapers

Its the perfect time. Even a little late for lots of toddlers.

Well honestlyI think almost three is actually on the late side. I trained mine between two and two and a half. Stay close to home for a couple of weeks, take time off work if necessary, and just get on with it would be my advice. Don't wait for kiddo to 'be ready', there's no such thing. You have to devote the time to do it, and once you start you see it through.

I would imagine it depends on the specific needs of your child and how he's affected by his autism. There's no harm in giving it a go though.

When were you planning on potty training, if it wasn't soon?

I have tried multiple times but stuff just kept on getting in the way and we've been really busy with like getting her OT and eating classes for her ARFID so really it's just being busy and my boyfriend finally decided to take some time off work to finally get this over and done with he got the next two weeks off

Bare bum time coming up! What kind of things motivate her? Use those to help her along. My son is on the spectrum and back in the 70s everyone had their children trained by 2.
Mine had no interest until I introduced an incentive: putting ping pong balls into an empty plastic jar when he achieved anything in the potty. Once he’d got a few we’d go and buy him a new bit of Lego. He was definitely closer to three before he was reliably (ish) clean and dry.

Our twins 3 are both autistic diagnosed and one adhd in middle of diagnosis and both been potty trained for a for a very long time and nights dry to. Can't think of the last time I bought nappies. Same for our 4 n 5 started not long after they started being able to sit unaided
