How long did your baby blues last? 🤔I'm 11 days in and have days we're there terrible and then days when I'm completely fine -.- (mine started day 5 so only been up and down for a couple days)

@lucy2204 good point. I mentioned it too the HV and she said I seem like I'm coping well due to past experience which I think I am. I just keep reminding myself to be kinder to myself 🥰

lucy2204 · 24/07/2020 12:42

@Lemonysherbet you seem to have a good support system around you, xx

@lucy2204 honestly anyone who listens I'll chew their ear off about what's bothering me 😂 I listen too so it's a 2 way thing

lucy2204 · 24/07/2020 13:41

@Lemonysherbet oh god you sound just like me! I find myself constantly talking to my partner or hv or my old midwife etc I just want someone to say this is normal at this stage just ride it out... Or for someone to say they've been through this and this is what was wrong I just keep getting told by health professionals that mine is hormonal which is crap as your hormones take around 1 year to get completely back to normal -.-

@lucy2204 I'm no expert but it sounds like generalised anxiety. Just keep talking to people about it as much as you can you're doing amazing

lucy2204 · 24/07/2020 14:45

@Lemonysherbet I did read up about that I didn't realise how common anxiety is and how many different ways people get affected by it.. Its crazy this isn't spoken about more especially with pregnant women/new mums xx

lucy2204 · 25/07/2020 15:25

@Lemonysherbet I'm okay I forced myself out today to do food shopping was fine once I got out, waiting in queue outside the shop had me abit panicky but that was because people were standing to close coughing etc 🙄

Lemonysherbet · 03/08/2020 13:58

@lucy2204 I've had his injections and had my check. I had to push to get my stitches checked. It was all rushed and I wasn't asked about me at all, and in the hurry didn't remember to ask about support

lucy2204 · 03/08/2020 14:32

@Lemonysherbet do you have your health visitors number? If so give them a call, my health visitor the other day gave me a paper test thing about my anxiety and it was also about ppd just questions about your mood and you score between 0-3 and i didn't score high enough for help medication wise etc, she's giving me a call next month to re do it and if I score higher then they will look at help but god knows, she thinks it'll most likely be talking therapy or it'll sort itself out, how have you been feeling mood wise? Are you okay?? 🤗 I'm always here for a chat and if you don't want to put it on a public forum my dm is always open for a private chat🤗 your health visitors will be able to put a note on the system and get you a Doctor appointment with someone who will actually listen to you and ask how your doing and go through everything mines Wednesday they have my sheet thing I filled out so they will go through that with me and go from there xx

Hey @lucy2204 how are you? Xx

lucy2204 · 12/08/2020 13:08

@Lemonysherbet I'm meh! I've had a rough week or so had suspected dvt, and uterus infection so been on antibiotics which I had all the common side effects possible (first day off them today) so got the bellyache of I guess not having them? it dragged my anxiety around in circles tbh 🙄I spoke with my doctor about the anxiety and she said she would suggest medication yet that she will call end of September beginning of October and see how I feel, as i only have the over thinking side of things, 🙄she did say to self refer for talking therapy as that would be the next step she would take with me at the next check up(phone call) I had the scan for the dvt but it should not clots so not sure why I'm still aching now, I hope your okay and have had a better time than me xxx

@lucy2204 you poor thing it sounds like you've had a rough time. I really recommend self referring for the talking therapy, it is incredible what it can do. Horrible when you don't know what's wrong, makes you worry more. I always think if the doctor isn't worried then try not too worry too much about it and hope it goes away!

How are you coping with the heatwave?

lucy2204 · 12/08/2020 21:06

@Lemonysherbet how are you?

That's what I'm trying to do I find the more I sit around the more I over think, so put myself in a state, and the heat wave is blowing my family away right now none of the kids are coping very well with it tbh,
How about your little family xx

@lucy2204 I'm doing ok, feeling much better in myself and loving being a mum. I still have wobbles but I know that's normal and ok and try to be kind to myself.

I'm a huge overthinker too, it's hard to do something other than hibernating in the house when it's this hot, hopefully we get a break tomorrow :)
