Iggly I'll try again....or I'll just add you to Fb. ....

scout I can't knit either but F has some lovely knitted things , made for him by my mums friend A blue hooded cardi that was ds1's, a gorge blanket that was on his pram all winter, and another stripy cardi . Plus 2 other smaller lighter blankets that were ds1's and dd's made by dh's mum's friend

ruby I'm sure it will get easier as each day goes by. (hugs)At least you've done day 1.

moving babies F is starting to think about moving. When he's sitting , he leans really far forward is reaching much further for things. I think he's trying to get on his knees. He also pulls himself up on me if I'm sitting in front of him on the floor.

Had a baby massage session yesterday, it was free, run by Sure Start. It was lovely. we did legs this week. Different parts each week. Met some nice mummys.

Going to (free again) baby singing this afternoon, provided F doesn't need to sleep at that time....

Then swimming lessons for ds1 and dd after school.

Oh just thought I'd tell you of my latest scrape! I was chatting to the neighbours outside yesterday, and was crouched down on the path, showing F the cat. He loves him. Anyway I lost my balance and fell backwards down a little step (not very high) and was lying on my back, legs in the air open wide!!! Holding F on my tummy!!! I looked a right wally. I should have had it videoed for 'You've Been Framed'

Ooops double post...

I think that has worked, check out my profile...

princessmel · 09/06/2010 20:30

Where is everybody!!!???

Scout19075 · 09/06/2010 20:55

Hi princess I'm here. I'm multi-tasking -- doing laundry, playing on the computer, and packing 230 horse crafts into baggies. How are you?

How is everyone else?

Igglybuff · 09/06/2010 20:58

Hi princess and scout! princess, I love your photos. Your kids look so cute. It also looks like they get on together really well

DH is setting up his 40" tv (birthday and father's day present in one ) while I tidy our study as will be turning it into William's room. We have him upstairs in the loft bedroom but it's too hot in summer (32C at night after a hot day ) and too cold in winter. So will move him down!

Hello Iggly!

Now I've added watched "Junior Apprentice" to my multi-tasking.

princessmel · 09/06/2010 21:02

I'm ok thanks scout

I had a busy day. We went to a baby music session...which turned out to be lots more playing than singing. It was lovely though. Loads of interesting things (toys and household objects) that make noises or feel nice. F loved the bubble wrap. There was tons of it for him to sit in and grab! Then singing at the end.
Then I went to Argos to buy a new moniter. the one we're using is from ds1 (7 years old) and not working anymore.
Then school run, then ds1 and dd's swimming lessons. That is always hard work. Hanging around, getting them changed, their lessons are one after the other. Up and down the stairs to the veiwing area...etc
Then home to cook dinner. Then bath and bed....

F is soooo into playing/trying to crawl and stand that he is hardly feeding in the day. just these relaly tiny quick feeds when I prompt him.

Did you see the photos I put on my profile...?

how are you?

Igglybuff · 09/06/2010 21:05

Busy busy princess! F sounds like W, always on the move. We give him a bath in the main tub and he tries to stand in that now. Not interested in sitting and splashing.
scout you are a serial multi - tasker, how do you do it??

Day busy here, too. Seb had a bit of a lie-in after a late night to bed last night (DH picked him up from Seniors on his way home, but it was still later than he's normally down) then went to Tots in the village where I do Guides. Then we went to my Guider/friend's house to have lunch and help pack crafts. Came home, Sebby went down for a nap and I did more packing. I got through my first bunch so quickly I volunteered to do more and DH stopped by her house on the way home and picked up the remaining crafts to be packed.

Sebby and I have done Baby Massage and Baby Sing & Sign through our local SureStart, too. He didn't seem to like Baby Massage as much as some of the other babies, but I picked up a few tips. Sing & Sign, however, was great fun.

He has lots of knitted and crocheted gifts from friends and family, but yeesterday I found the cutest hats ever and really wished I could knit. Oh well, I might order one from the woman selling the hats anyway because they are just too cute!

Haven't looked at any profiles lately. Will make a point tonight.

Scout19075 · 09/06/2010 21:33

X-post with Iggly. Dunno how I do it -- have always done it!

(Only 50 crafts left to pack.)

Igglybuff · 09/06/2010 21:48

We do sing and sign but pay It's great fun and now I sing the "change your nappy" song when I have to change William which holds his attention!

Anyway, I'm off to bed now. I'm worried that separation anxiety is starting to kick in as when I put William down after a feed, he starts grizzling and wont settle without extra cuddles.

Happy birthday to all of the husbands!

Strange day.

Seb was mistaken for a 15 month old. I know he's "big" but blimey, he's not THAT long.... And his face still looks like a baby, not a toddler....

Got 230 horse crafts packed. Which means I finished all of them for my friend, who's stressing out between the big county day adventure in July and the big county camp in August. She's on the committees for both and normally I'd have been on at least one but they all really started getting active when I found out I was pregnant and I just couldn't/wouldn't commit to the time/energy needed. So I try to help my friend in little ways, like packing crafts, writing the letters to go home to parents, creating lists (I love lists!) and managing the camp budget for our unit (I love spreadsheets!).

fidelma Poor Connor and teething. Is Sebby the only baby left with no teeth?

Iggly Don't think I know the "change your nappy" song. Is it catchy?

Igglybuff · 10/06/2010 19:12

fidelma I hope Connor's better now for having those come through!

HC William has lost weight too - he's taking less milk but not much solids. Plus lots of moving around. he seems fine though.

scout yes very catchy! do you know the frere jacque nursery rhyme (or "are you sleeping, are you sleeping, brother john, brother john" in english)? That's the tune and the words are:

change your nappy, change your nappy
care - ful-y care-ful-y
put it in the dustbin, put it in the dustbin
now you're clean, nice and clean!

OMG Iggly I LOVE it! (sad soul emoticon)

Igglybuff · 10/06/2010 19:16

Haha scout yep I love it too! Complete with the signs, it keeps William still for a few seconds

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 10/06/2010 19:17

So how do you sign AND change his bum at the same time?

Igglybuff · 10/06/2010 20:17

Sorry - had to resettle William and then eat dinner.

I sing the song and sign, William looks at me like I'm mad but keeps still. Then I keep singing while changing.

Scout19075 · 10/06/2010 20:40

That's alright. My DH text me about 7:10 and said he'd be home around 9. Told me to go ahead and eat if I wanted, which I wanted. So have made dinner and eaten. Yum-yum. But now I think I've eaten too much.

princessmel · 10/06/2010 21:46

Just a quicky!

fidelma · 10/06/2010 22:13

No sign of teeth here either. Love the song but it takes all my time to stop M playing with his Willy Wonka.
