Ah, ok Cyteen, Suffolk is clearly covered in identical Tudor barns! Ours was in Peasenhall, with peacocks rather than chickens! Was gorgeous though, happy times - definitely second something similar for a meet-up...

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 22:07

Did I hear meet up?

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 22:13

pert - could you be Keira Knightly or Emma Thomson? both gorgeous in my eyes

with regards to the cakes, I could make them all and deliver them on the morning before disappearing off and not seeing people's reactions which would be perfect

glad some viewings for yours but can we have links to what you're going to see please? we'd like to be involved

No1 - come to me!!!!!!!!!! scotland will love you and there is a lovely wee cottage right at the harbour or I'll happily turf DH out and you can stay here

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 22:20

Dizzy could you get me details and prices for the cottage, that would be great, I'm desperate for a break.
Pertelote good luck with the viewings, sorry notuvh idea about flowers, but think tulips look lovely just scattered in a vase.

Cyteen did you link to that Tudor place before, sounds lovely.

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 22:23

ooohh seriously, would you come up? the kids would love it here, if its dry we've LOADS to do and if its wet DD1 can act as entertainer will find a link its only 100yards away from us and looks right out over the river am getting carried away now. you can meet Poppy too if that swings it and depending on when you come and sure Sazz can be in the area too

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 22:23

on a totally diggerent note can you all please come and join my new FB group - VG and Sazz have me on a new career path

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 22:24

oh bless you bless you bless you sibh and pert

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 22:35

Yes I am serious dizz would love to?
Obviously depends on finances!
When would you suggest I come then?

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 22:37

here here here !!!!!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 22:47

No1 - the company who rent this are lovely and you can start/end the rental whatever day you choose. The flat that the Sazzettes stayed in is also on the harbour but they do Sat-Sat letting only. When are you thinking so I can make sure I'm not on shifts

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 22:54

Anytime really I have no plans, unless I hear about the cottage in the next few week, then all my money will probably be tied onto that, but sure I could sort something out

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 22:56

do you like the look of the cottage? its completely secure re the kids, they can't get out onto the water from it because there is a walled garden. I could speak to them about availibility and hopefully some reduced prices seeing as we are becoming regular customers I have a travel cot for M and C could sleep in the single bed?

hotterpotter · 28/05/2010 22:59

Wotcha No1 I had your mobile no but think you changed it? Let's meet up soon

I want to come to Scotland

Joined your group though dizz

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 23:01

Hots - have texted you no1's new number

come to scotland too - mass meet up north of the border!!

thank you for joining, all very first stage but need to make VG proud of the efforts lol

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 23:02

Dizz it looks gorgeous, I am pondering it and working it out.
Hots how are you? I will text you my new number, would love to meet up, just say when.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 23:03

X post, yeah come to hots

TwilightSurfer · 29/05/2010 02:23

Miamla I am 39 now. Will be 40 next February.

I love all this Scotland meetup talk. Dizzy that cottage is lovely.

Last day has come and gone. Trucks packed apart from shower things. Will load up and head out early. 10 hour drive home. Pet sitter leaving town in the morning so we must get home to care for our fur babies. DH isn't very happy about that. Seems we always have pet sitter issues.

Pertelote I think Emma would play you perfectly.

On the movie topic, DH asked if DHs could play themselves. Seems he figures "they'd" like to co-star with our movie star selves.

Must go check FB then go to bed. See ya'll when we get home.

luckoftheirish · 29/05/2010 07:08

morning gorgeous ladies..

ts on your 10 hour drive.. seems like you has a wonderful holiday tho and yes please to katherine ..

dizzy the cakes look amazing and trip to scotland? i'm in it.. love the place lived in edinburgh for two and a half years! ..

wotcha no1 so pleased to see you on here again, missed you..

ow miamla sorry you are feeling sore and hope ds is only copying you!

got another wedding today so an afternoon and evening sans kiddies tho have dh/bil/sil with me!! thinking kiddies might be nicer.. ooo i am naughty

MrsMiamla · 29/05/2010 07:29

morning
i got woke up by DS calling for me and giggling this morning...makes such a nice change

hope everyone's happy

yes loti, you are but who on earth would blame you! is this the same sil as the 'holiday' nonsense?

MrsMiamla · 29/05/2010 07:29

i'm v of all this scottish meetup talk

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 08:32

Miamla how are you feeling this morning? I was woken up by sound of all 3 playing downstairs thank goodness it's not a school day lol

TS safe home to you all

loti - I love Edinburgh, I was born there but never lived there, would have to win the lottery first! We are frequent visitors though ESP during festival and love takiing the girls through. We can get there in just over an hr from here so happy to meet up & relive youth anytime!! Hope sil isn't an arse & dh behaves so you can enjoy the wedding

Queenie if you're lurking I hope you're doing ok & being looked after.

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 08:39

Oh & kitschnbake now has fb group with nothing on it, an empty blog & a Twitter page with nothing on it & nobody following!! When I decide to rule the world I like to take my time & do it slow!

Am off to ask DH who he'd like to play him in the movie although I'd vote for David Boreanaz or Rbt Downey Junior although I'll probably end up with Mike Myers!!

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 08:46

VG I have it in my head that your DP looks a little like Mark in Greys Anatomy for some reason so am now swithering on Patrick Dempsey for DH but I think P is maybe a bit too 'pretty' for DH. Red would you like LIam Neeson for your onscreen DH, if not can I have him too

Lordy I need to stop imagining who I can have as DH or I'm never getting anything done! If only DH were Scottish I could have Euan McGregor!!!

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 08:48

Or maybe he's more of a gerard butler.......

Or hugh Jackman

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 08:52

Am trying to think of quintessential English gent for Me Sazz but hugh grant too short & girly, hugh lawrie too gruff as I picture him as house, rowan Atkinson whilst funny enough not handsome enough, your man that plays Hugo in dibley ( I think) & is in 4weddings & Love actually is too blundery, Stephen fry too gay. Maybe I should allow Sazz to choose her own Mr Sazz
